My experience with this doctor happened nearly 5 years ago and it still upsets me, so I thought I should review. Id gone to the ER the night before in incredible pain, and the doctors there dismissed me and said it was all in my head. They told me to follow up with a gynecologist the next day if the pain was still there. They made an appointment for me here. I got there and the front office was incredibly rude, wouldnt answer my questions, and generally ignored me. When I went back to see the doctor, he was aggressive, making comments on my body that felt unprofessional. He wouldnt listen to me at all, he kept interrupting me and talking over me. At the time Id worked in the reproductive health field and frequently walked patients through various birth control options, and provided a lot of early sex education. He flat out said some wrong things to me about how my method of choice, the Paragard, worked. After belittling me he asked if I was married, which felt incredibly intrusive. I said yes, and he asked if my husband knew about my IUD. At this point he was examining me and I became incredibly scared. I said yes, and he made a noise that conveyed his disbelief. He then started asking me how soon my husband wanted kids, explaining that Paragard lasts 10 years and maybe my husband should know that. He suggested he remove the Paragard and that might solve my problems, otherwise it was probably just pain from stress. I physically recoiled from him and got off the table. The insinuation that I would lie to my husband about using birth control, and the insinuation that I shouldnt have it if I was married was awful. I left quickly and angrily and called the ER back and asked for another recommendation. They gave me one at another Gynecologist and I got a taxi to take me there right away. Once I was at the other gynecologist, I got excellent care, and she quickly realized I had a huge cyst that was likely cutting off blood flow to my left ovary. She quickly got me to an operating room and was able to save my ovary and remove a ton of blood and cysts that were accumulating around that area. I dont know what would have happened if I didnt end up at her office. But Dr Prikoupenko was so dedicated to the idea that it was all in my head and the real problem was my supposed dishonesty to my husband. The ER was too. But I am also leaving them their own review. AVOID this doctor!

Being new in the area, I had my first appointment with Dr. Yuri, and after reading all his great reviews I felt confident I had picked the right doctor for me. Unfortunately after leaving my appointment, I was very disappointed that things were nothing like how the other reviewers described. From the start of my appointment, Dr. Yuri was very rude and aggressive with me. I came for an annual and to talk about birth control. He was very dismissive of past problems Ive had with hormonal birth control, and constantly interrupted and talked over me. While talking about other relevant, but unrelated health issues, he behaved the same way, talking over me and interrupting me about things that are not his specialty. I felt like I was being judged, and was shocked when he commented that I shouldnt worry about whether something was covered by instance because I could "just not pay the bill...thats what everyone else does." During the exam he was very unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable, especially when he made comments about my bodys appearance that werent relevant to my appointment at all. He very aggressively steered me away from Implanon, and I later found out that he does not even implant that type of birth control in his office. I cant help but feel violated and disappointed after my experience with Dr. Yuri. He is obviously not up to date with current birth control methods, and behaved very unprofessionally with me. Ive never left a doctor feeling this way before, and I hope that my review saves other women from an experience similar to mine.

This was one of the best doctor visits I have ever had. I went for a second opinion after a horrible first opinion of an initial doctor on what I now realize is minor issue. Dr. Prikoupenko was very throrough, and sympathized with my fears over the other doctors drastic and inaccurate recommendation. I felt heard and he really explained things well. His office is very tech savvy and efficient. His office is about 45min from where I live but it is so worth going to him.

I was in and out within 30 minutes for a full annual! I was IMPRESSED! Staff is nice, the doctor himself is very thorough, explained everything in detail. I loved not having to wait for a OB/GYN due to delivering babies, this was very important to me. I will refer friends as i felt well informed and left with out any questions. The office is easily assessible and huge parking lot. Overall 5 stars no complaints !

Dr. Yuri is amazing!!!!! I was a new patient and he made me feel so welcome, he was very knowledgable on birth control and everything in between. His staff is great and very friendly, did not have to wait a long time to be called. Walks you through your appointment. Best doctor Ive ever had.
