I wish I could give it 2.5 stars out of 5. On the plus side, this is an office where we can find specialists for many parts of the eye, and when you really need one of those docs, then you dont have that many options in the area. My husband has been going here for his optical nerve and now I had to go in a few times in the last 2 months after a cornea accident. On the negative, the WAIT. One needs to be ready to wait anything between 30 mins or over 1 hours. Very very frustrating. If you are taking off work to come to the office, be sure to say you will be out for hours. There is no such thing as a quick visit. My cornea specialist was good, she finally cured my infection, gave me a very comprehensive treatment, explained everything in a clear manner, we did plenty of follow-ups, where she seemed to really care about the progress of my eye. Very good, and I am happy I can see again. But every time, I had to bring my babies with me, and an extra person to stay with them in the waiting room. They first take the patient to just ask you how you are doing (an assistant does this) and they sit you at a different waiting room. There is where you can watch a full movie before your doctor actually calls you in. Very frustrating for me to be hearing my little ones fussing for 45 minutes while I cant do anything but keep waiting. Nobody seemed to care. Also, the first time I went, my doctor sat me at the big chair in the office, grabbed her phone and said it was going to be a "few more minutes", when we were 25 mins behind. She went for lunch. Im sure of it. She grabbed her things, spent 30minutes in which i heard a microwave open and close and beep... people were chatting... and she came back chewing gum. A total 1hr 5 mins of wait. With my husband missing work and waiting with the kids in the waiting room. My appt was at 11.30, at 11.55 they sat me in the doctors room, and she came back at 12.35. There is no excuse for this treatment. It is disrespectful and even if they care about the medical issue, I dont think they care about the person. So, if you need a specialist, you can try somewhere else, or you can take a deep breath and go here.
