Last fall, I received laser eye surgery in Williamsburg from Dr. Cullom. The surgery and its success has absolutely changed my life. Everyone at the office, Dr. Cullom, and others were genuinely kind to me, walked me through and helped me through the process step by step, and did everything they could to ease any anxiety I had about getting the surgery. The surgery was painless and I recovered quickly just as I was told by Dr. Cullom. Only a few hours after the surgery, I was seeing great and noticeably way better than with contacts prior to the surgery. For someone who has worn some form of corrective lenses since he was in the 4th grade, I was exponentially grateful for the change in my eyesight and the convenience of having perfect vision. It is truly hard to explain to someone who doesnt have vision issues how meaningful this transition is. I have wanted the surgery for the longest time and with the help of Dr. Cullom and his staff, I was able to appropriately finance the work, get the surgery, and change my life. Nothing can describe waking up in the morning, rolling over and hitting the alarm clock without having to get up, put on contacts, or reach over and grab a pair of glasses. As I am an athlete in the community, not having to wear contacts has also been a blessing. I no longer have to worry about the contacts getting scratched or "dirtied." For anyone considering this surgery, I would recommend both the surgery and Dr. Cullom 100%. This procedure has truly impacted my life in the greatest way and I cant thank everyone at Cullom Eye and Laser Center enough! Thanks all!

I used this office for my annual check-up because my eye doctor of 30 yrs was retiring and he recommended this group. At first when I showed up, I was quickly put into a room and was met with an eye technician who performed the basic routine eye evaluation and then they moved me to another room where I finally met Dr. Cullom. She quickly went through my evaluation and gave me her assessment. When I got up to the checkout window, I asked wheres my prescription? The receptionist said oh, thats an extra $50! I was extremely shocked! I have NEVER paid to have a prescription written for a pair of glasses in my +40 yrs of needing to wear glasses! The entire reason for going to this group was not to meet Dr. Cullom, it was to correct my vision! Just like any other doctor visit, you dont pay an extra payment for a prescription! I cant believe that this group needs to do this to their clients! Dont worry...I work for a large institution and will gladly pass this information to anyone who is looking for an ophthalmologist in the future that they are fully aware of their practice!

I had Lasik Surgery Oct of last year and by the second day I could see particles flying out of the back of trucks and that was at night. Before my surgery I couldnt see a sign on the road at night and in the rain, oncoming traffic lights would blind me, I would have panic attacks driving down dark roads due to not being able to see. I am now 20/15 in both eyes (which is above normal) I can see in the rain, bright sun and above all at night. I couldnt be any happier. Dr. Cullom was very professional and followed through on everything he said. His staff was excellent, very friendly, caring and funny. When I walked into the office you could tell right off that I was in the right place. I have recommended this office to all my friends and family even ones that live out of state, and I highly recommended Dr. Cullom and his staff not just your surgeries needs but for just basic eye care and medical emergencies. They see not only myself but my son, boyfriend, both sisters and my parents.

Had cataracts removed & LASIK done by Dr. Collum. You will wait at least an hour to be seen. Today I sat in an exam room for almost 30 minutes before he showed. No apology this occasion, although he has said sorry in the past. I mentioned I had waited over 25 minutes & he merely said "its been crazy around here today." There were 2 other patients in the waiting room after my arrival. Had a 20 minute wait there. I have been there when the waiting room was packed & spent the same amount of time sitting. So, you wait almost an hour & see the doctor for a whole 5 minutes. Maybe. I am 73 years old, on a portable oxygen machine & have to constantly monitor how many minutes are remaining. I carried an extra battery so I would not run out of juice. Incidentally, Im not happy being addressed by my first name, as this doctor does. While Im at it, doctors conversations with staff about personal matters during surgery was unprofessional.

I had custom lasik with Dr. Farah. Everyone, from the staff, the nurses checking my eyes prior to being seen by Dr. Farah, and Dr. Farah himself, were professional, reliable, and really made me feel as though they cared about making my procedure go as smoothly as possible. Dr. Farah explained everything to me in depth on the first appointment and I had my surgery the next Wednesday. Its now two days later and I can see better than I did with contacts/glasses. My night time vision (halos and flares) have improved. The process was quick, painless, and it felt very reassuring having someone as professional as Dr. Farah talking me through what was going on. I highly recommend Dr. Farah and the Cullom Eye Center.

I have just completed a 7 week terrible experience with this group. First they put me in glasses that couldnt work at all, then they lie about when glasses are ready, if they tell you one thing, add two weeks. Then when they re do my glasses the break the frames, a $400 pair of frames and then want to replace them with a cheap alternative. I would never go back to this place if it was the only place in the area. I am expecting to be fully reimbursed and if not, the next post you will read is the court case. DONT USE THESE GUYS. WALMART IS BETTER!!!!!

My wife and I have both used the services of the Cullom Eye and Laser Center. We have been seen at the clinic many times and have always been greeted by friendly staff. We have always been seen within five minutes of our appointment time. Drs. Cullom, Long, and Reed have each treated us in a very professional and pleasant manner. Between the two of us, we have had laser surgery, implant surgery and a treatment for Iritis. From the pre-treatment consultation to the post treatment care, all we can say is, "Thank you for a great job."

Even though I just had the second eye done (laser cataract surgery), I will highly recommend the entire Cullom Center and the staff at the Doctors Surgery affiliated with them. From the beginning, they were entirely UP FRONT about everything and made me -- a scared, sensitive individual -- feel at ease about the whole process. The staff was very knowledgeable about everything that was to take place during both of the surgeries, not to mention kind and caring. I will definitely recommend this business to all.
