This place gets a low rating for 3 reasons: 1) Absurdly expensive. They charge almost $300 for a normal 10 - 15 minute office visit. Nonsense like that is why insurance premiums for everyone keep going up. Charges for various other things Ive gotten in their network are also ridiculous. 2) If your PCP is here, they will NOT refer you to someone outside the Harvard Vanguard network - ever, even if you ask to be referred to someone specifically. They want all your money, and you cant do a damn thing about it because if you go to someone that your PCP doesnt approve, your insurance wont cover you. 3) They take 6 weeks to send any of your data to another hospital. Really?!?! Thats ridiculous, and is an additional hurdle they make if you want to get care elsewhere. Oh, and they will want to charge you $20 just to send the last two years of your information to another hospital, which should be free (Obviously, Id have to pay for full history, but shouldnt need to for just the last 2 years of information). I said "screw it", and didnt bother - Im not paying $20 for some extortion racket. Overpriced, and low service. Stay away from these crooks.

I have to say first, I did not go to this provider but had a bad experience trying to set up a PCP with them that I thought was worth sharing. I called to see when I could get in as a new patient and was told the earliest would be 3 months from now (which is quite a while just to even see a nurse practitioner) so I politely said, "Oh okay, never mind, thank you very much." but the person on the line apparently couldnt even handle waiting for me to continue saying thank you for checking and hung up partway through my thank you. I can understand that you dont want to just sit and chat with someone for several minutes if you realize they arent going to be a patient anyway but it shows some pretty horrible customer service that literally the second you hear that someone is not going to be a patient that you hang up on the person before they are even done talking. I would check around elsewhere.

Most of the staff is pleasant. There are a few women I went to school with and that makes for an awkward situation. Dirty looks, looking me over when i go in. Hearing my health info is being looked at by certain individuals. Not happy with that. But I deal. That might have been corrected by now? But it wasnt fun. But I dealt. Dr. Lee, she was awesome and always was ontop of everything. She always took the time to talk to me and explain everythibg. Dr. Brigell was my endo another fantastic Doctor both very attentive and caring. I switched doctors (both of them) with 3 months. Not to sure about my new doctor. Only seen her once since the switch to her. Communication isnt as great with her as Dr.Lee but Im hoping thats just a new doctor thing and I have not gotten to know her. Will update at a later time.

I have a newborn and I love that were called in just about as soon as we sit in the waiting room. The team is sweet, and their response time to my phone calls have been great (especially with a newborn!!) Also, there is a pharmacy downstairs which makes it ten times faster and easier to pick up a prescription. Im glad I have chosen them. We have Dr. Melo and she is their newest addition to the team and wonderful.

They have all the staff in the world but cant renew a maintenance medication, that I need to keep my body from failing on me, without being harassed with two-three phone calls. If you want your pharmacy to try and get that renewal for you, good luck that doesnt work either. Twice Ive had to go weeks without my meds and got sick the last time before I decided enough was a enough Im finding a new pcp.

Every time I go to Harvard Vanguard the staff are pleasant and efficient. I went for an allergy check and Dr. Wei personally followed-up with me regarding my visit with additional helpful information. The obgyn was fantastic as well (Meghan Vail). She was easy to talk to, down to earth and completely helpful with any questions I had

This place sucks. It charges maximum fee while providing minimum service. If you try to get a medical record from them, forget it! They will ask for a $$$ BEFORE they can release anything. So if you want transfer hospital, you better schedule your appointment 2 MONTHS after or you are stuck. AVOID this place as much as possible.

Excellent office - the fact that they have a blood lab, ultrasound, xray, etc. all in the same building helps save a lot of time; also they are very organized and Ive never spent more than a few minutes in the waiting room before being called in. All staff, nurses etc. are very friendly.

Wait time is always so long. Making a phone call takes 10 min to even get a hello. Then you wait to be transferred to another department and wait again. An office visit starts 40-45 min after scheduled time. Everything is so slow here
