I went to see DR. Uratu in Wayland to remove brown spots from my cheeks. Dr, Urato first recommended a procedure called PDT. A cancer prevention screen. The office told me that will be cover by my insurance. Well I told her that I didn’t have a history of cancer in my family. During the procedure they did not clean properly the medication from my face. My brown spots gotten much worse after due to medication and intense light. Dr. Urato’s charge a whooping $1.145 to my insurance and my insurance told me I was responsible for $600. BCBS/ppo. Now since my spots worsen I need an IPL laser with IPL fraxel. $500. That experience was totally traumatizing. My face was disfigured. My family was very concerned. It took 8 hours of icing, and 10 days to return to normal. However my brown spots never improve and I developed new ones. During these 10 days they will not take pictures of you. Only afterwards. I wonder why. Of course they know it looks pretty bad. My impression of Dr. Uratu is that she is looking to make a buck, her medical advice is base in profits. Too sad. My advice to the reader; choose a different provider. Chris S.

If there were zero stars I would have selected that. I have now had two nightmare experiences with this office. The Sudbury location is a dump, so thought I would try Framingham for our second try which was to have a mole looked at and removed on my son. Responses were vague. No one knew who was on first, they had no idea how much procedures would cost, called the insurance company in which they wouldve submitted invalid billing codes had I proceeded which wouldve been an administrative nightmare. And had we, the Doctor told me, "I have dinner reservations, youll have to come back." Also, this was as bad as my first experience. Now I know why they dont have 3 month waiting times. Save yourself the aggravation and wait for a reputable place.

bad experience. charge you upon walking to front desk when you first arrive, before you even see the doctor. (Instead of after you see the doctor, depending on what takes place in the appointment like in every other doctors office.) Will not let insurance go through, instead you are charged and then they refund you what the insurance pays? (never heard of this before either). the waiting area was loud and obnoxious. cancelled my appt before it even started. will not be returning. Read ALOT of bad reviews online 5 minutes prior to my visit.

I had a wonderful experience during my recent visit at Urato Dermatology. The staff there was friendly and efficient. I was very impressed by their PA, Nonna Khachiyan, who was thorough and took her time to explain the problem and pros and cons of different treatment options. She was very knowledgeable. I would recommend Urato Dermatology to my friends and relatives.

Dr. Urato and her staff are very friendly. She is very thorough in explaining procedures and conditions and what to do next. Wait times are minimal and follow up appointments are clear. Multiple locations in Sudbury, Wayland and Framingham make it convenient to schedule appointments.
