My fuzzies means the world to me, I do not have a family so literally they are my family so when my 3 year old male ferret started peeing blood, I started freaking out, crying because I knew something was seriously wrong. I made an appointment here, brought him in to see the vet. I will give critical feedback with strengths and growth areas about the exam just so this post wont be so negative. My strength area for the vet is that she did a good job with checking him out, feeling his stomach and everything. My growth area is that the vet bedside manner could be worked on, the reason why I say this is because the first thing the vet said to me is "oh these animals are tumor factories, and are prone to cancer and adrenal disease." I understand where she was coming from because its true and I was already aware of this hence why I was freaking out but its just off putting to just start naming off illnesses like that without knowing the diagnosis. So anyways I paid 200 dollars for an exam, some anti-inflammatories and an urine sample. It was pretty much a waste of money because the exam didnt give me any new information besides what I already knew, the anti-inflammatories were for cats and I couldnt get him to take it due it being in pill form and the urine test told me that he had a bacteria infection which I assumed because I knew basic health knowledge for ferrets and peeing blood is a symptom for a bacteria infection/crystals. When I got home, Clyde started peeing dark brown and blood. I took the sample to the office. I wanted to get an xray done to see if he had crystal formations so I brought Clyde along hoping she could see him of course, she couldnt instead she just told me to buy their food, which he did not eat because it was cat food. So another 30 bucks on the food wasted. Afterwards getting the test results back, all the vet said was that it was a bacteria infection and that she would need another 167 dollars to find out what type of bacteria it is. At this point, I just didnt have the money so she said to put him on antibiotics, clavamox 15 ml drops for two weeks. So I went to the clinic bought it for 46 dollars, it helped a little bit however, I knew it wasnt going to fix the problem because I know male ferrets are prone to crystal formations, which you need a xray to see them. I still wanted to give the antibiotics a try though. I started reading the directions on the box, there was a warning on the med box that I must have missed the first time and it said "must disposal after 10 days." This was the final straw. Are you serious the vet prescribed it for 2 weeks (14 days) but the box said it is only good for 10 days. I really dont understand how a vet can mess up like that. Vets should know everything about the meds that they are prescribing. I am so furious by everything that had happened. I work a 9.00 hr job and all my savings was put into this clinic. And worst thing of all is my little boy is still sick. He still peeing blood more often and thats only if he actually goes. He stop going to the bathroom regularly. I have no more funds to take him to another vet. I was drained dry from this vet. I am just trying to sell anything that I can to get money so I can get help for my baby boy. I am in the process of selling my car hopefully I can sell it soon to come up with the funds. If I cant come up with the funds, I might have to stop going to school. This is just a terrible situation but he is my family and I have to get him help soon. Ferrets are the type of animals that you cannot leave infections or crystals. They are fragile creatures. I truly believe that clinic wanted me to pay for all those waste of time, urine tests and exams and then they would want me to get a xray done later down the road. Its all about money to them. So I hope after reading my review please do go to this clinic. They care more about filling their pockets then caring for their patients. This place will drain you dry and never help your fuzzy creature.

All Creatures is the best vet hospital I have experienced. I feel lucky to have such a fantastic vet hospital right down the street. Ive lived in MA, NY, CA (where I worked at a vet hospital), and VT. My pets have always come with me whenever Ive moved. Now that my wife and I are settled in Salem and dont plan to move again I feel extra glad to have found the perfect "home base" vet for my pets. The practice is bright and clean and welcoming. Dr. Hezekiah is incredible! Shes friendly, smart, knowledgable, and patient. My dog has some anxiety and fear issues and Dr. Hezekiah is perfect with her. She paid attention to my dogs body language and noticed that my dog is most comfortable when people in the room are sitting on the floor with her. Not only did Dr. Hezekiah sit on the floor with Callie to make her more comfortable, she even put a note in the chart for others to do the same. Dr. Hezekiah is always thorough and does a great job explaining what she is doing and why. She also takes the time to explain options for treatment. I never feel rushed through an appointment or that she is only half listening. I cant emphasize how much I appreciate this! The vet techs and receptionists are also fantastic here. They are all friendly and professional and always treat my dog with attention and care, as if she was their own. Someone follows up with us after every appointment to make sure things are going well. We have never had to wait long past the appointment time to be seen (although I would be fine if that happened because I so appreciate that I never feel rushed through my own dogs appointment). Pricing is reasonable. We love All Creatures so much that we recently had our cats records sent over from another clinic so that she can be seen by Dr. Hezekiah, too.

Dr. Bradt has been our family veterinarian for many years, not only because of her expertise, but because she really cares about our pets...and weve had Many! From an epileptic German Shepherd, to a kitty with feline AIDS, to a mouse with a rash...we could go on and on. From her days in Lynn, to when she ran her business from her Salem home...delivering services right to our door. Her dedication and years of hard work have led her to creating the state of the art, All Creatures Veterinary Hospital. The facility is outstanding. The staff provide excellent customer service, they are knowledgeable and kind. Dr Burba is another excellent veterinarian on staff. She is very caring, skilled and compassionate. We are truly fortunate to have Dr Bradt. When weve had to make difficult decisions regarding the quality of life of our beloved pets, Dr Liz discussed our options. When the time came, she helped them leave us in the comfort of their home and surrounded by the ones they loved. For that service, we are very, very grateful. All Creatures Veterinary Hospital is fantastic and highly recommended!
