May 26, 15 Dear Doctor Dunn, My dog Sophia has been a patient there since 2012. I absolutely loved Doctor Tom. I was hoping Sophia would be able to stay there at your hospital as a patient. Three visits back my dog had butt issues and she can be needy and is very dependant on me. While examining her I felt she may fall so I went up to table to calm her down (Sophia), “Dr.Lisa VERY Sharply & LOUDLY asked me Not to do that!” I said I am trying to calm her and she replied I do not care stop. NEVER did Dr.Tom EVER speak to me in that tone OR manner! He said he expected me to be concerned and that I did calmed her down. Well NOT Dr.Lisa , she WAS VERY RUDE AND DEMEANING TO ME AND MY DOG! My response to her made my dog even more upset! I believe I had met her when I first adopted Sophia. Sophie was having problems and she said she was just a pup don’t worry. I KNEW it was more and I kept calling and I believe on the “third” visit they FINALLY did x-rays and found something lodged in her stomach. I was told she could die. She had immediate surgery there I believe by you. I said then I did NOT want to see that doctor again who was Not Listening to me… Getting back to the third visit I did a revisit because she was Still scooting on her butt, asked to please NOT give me Dr.Lisa. The receptionist said would put that in the chart about my saying she was rude and not listening. I replied Please do Not put it in THAT way she will read it! The receptionist reassured she would change it and that the doctor would Not say anything to me. So, I come thinking I am to see a different doctor and Dr.Lisa walks in and the FIRST THING OUT OF HER MOUTH IS WHAT I HAD SAID! Then she said she was there because she could compare it to my last visit with my Sophies butt issues. My sons cat Cottan Tail became very ill I brought her in. Low and behold Dr.Lisa walks in. I thought this was a cruel joke! “I could not for the life of me understand when it IS WRITTEN DOWN ON MY CHART Why SHE keeps coming in!” She tried very hard to be concerned. I was already emotional when I entered the building and just did not want to deal with her as well. Cotton Tail ended up under the bench in room and she said no I will get help to get her out. I insisted I could do this But Dr.Lisa kept saying if she bites it will be worse. I was confused and distraught as well. I listened to my poor 2-3 pound SICK cat MOAN in agony as she and that assistant with really long gloves on SMASHED her poor frail body into wall underneath there! (My cat had No front nails and her teeth were filed down as well. She was special need’s a vet prior had done this because she would forget who we were now & then and it did help.) I was crying please stop I will get her! Then the assistant turned around to me and SCREAMED something at me in my face I could not hear between my sobbing and my cat’s screams of FEAR!!!!!!!!!! My only memory is the assistant’s face in mine yelling. -If they were So Afraid why didn’t they let me? -Her last moments of life were FILLED WITH TERROR and abandonment! I wanted to hold her and say I love you and BUT Dr.Lisa and that assistant would not let me. I watched IN HORROR as two Buffoons (looking) Bitches TORTURED my Poor Kitties last moments of life! I will have to live with that memory and those sounds for the rest of my life… I asked the desk to have ready (when I pick up Cottan Tails ashes) My Sophia’s records so I may find a veterinarian more compassionate, caring loving doctor like Dr. Tom…and WILL respect my wishes when I say something NOT talk down to me. When Dr.Tom was leaving he said I wanted You, but it would be hard you primarily do surgeries only… I am hoping that you WILL do something about how she Dr.Lisa (and THAT assistant) can randomly treat animals and their owners SO POORLY and get away with it!?! If you have any recommendations for a vet it would appreciated. Cordially, R.L.

I WAS a 16-year client of theirs. However, their customer service leaves a LOT to be desired now. Their pricing is very very high with almost a 200% or more mark-up on medications. $75.00 to walk in the door. After having to have my baby PTS they charged me an additional $10.00 to send me a bill? Yelled at because I rescued a dog who got loose and was picked up. Talked to like I was a child because he wasnt in their system. I told them repeatedly that he was not in their system because I had decided I did not want my pets cared for them anymore due to their uncaring attitude and their rude staff. I also had to tell them repeatedly that my little 4-lb rescue Chihuahua has SEVERE epilepsy and cannot be given ANYTHING including Rabies until his epilepsy was under better control. Just got tired of their crap and $$$$ wants. No thanks.

The only reason this has one star is because zero isnt an option. I lost a dog and almost lost a cat and puppy because of their shoddy care and unprofessional attitude towards my pets health. To call that receptionist a b***h is a kindness. We had a cat put down there and all she could do was badger me about money with her crappy attitude. The "doctor" that took care of my poor little dog killed her because he didnt give a damn about her health or anything else except money. I wouldnt take an animal there if it was the last vet on earth. We go to Danvers Animal Hospital now. They saved my puppy and made my other cat comfortable in her last years. Dont go to this crummy outfit. They dont give a damn for anything but taking your money. Good luck to them trying to get a red cent of what they say I owe them. Id cut my arm off first.

I have nothing but absolute praise for this institution.....every member of the team will make you (and your pet) feel totally taken care of and treated like family. I have 3 small puppies (4 lbs-8 lbs) who all had they spaying/neutering performed there, as well as their share of sick visits and boarding. The surgeries were flawless, and the peace of mind that I received knowing that my puppies were being treated so well, with such a competent and compassionate staff was/is priceless. Oh, and they handled my crazy cat well too!

Our dogs vet is Dr.Lisa and she is amazing. When we adopted Ellie from the shelter she was sick with giardia, kennel cough, hook worms and coccidia. I remember feeling helpless, here i was with my first puppy and she was so ill. Then there was Dr.Lisa she came to the rescue! She treated Ellie quickly and confidently and after just a few follow up appointments our puppy was completely healed and finally back to being a playful pup! I am so thankful for Dr.Lisa, she saved her.
