This note is a response to the previous reviewers comments. Quite honestly Im stymied! Are you sure you went to Watertown Animal Hospital in Massachusetts??? The description you provide doesnt gel at all! The doctor is not an elderly balding gentleman and the office is clean and welcoming. Yes, even the exam rooms are bright and welcoming. Watertown Animal Hospital has taken care of my dogs for the past 30+ years. The doctor there is wonderful, caring and knowledgeable. He deeply cares for his patients and their families. He has provided support and guidance in some of the most difficult times. Many years ago, as a college student, my first dog was critically ill, he called every day to see how the dog was doing and to see how we were doing and to provide words of advice and compassion to help us deal with the impending death of our dear pet. As the years passed, weve had 5 additions to our family (3 are still alive and cared for by this wonderful establishment). Like other pet families, weve experienced good and difficult times and through it all, we had the support and guidance of the staff at Watertown Animal Hospital. This is an old-fashioned veterinary establishment where the dr, pet and pet family have a strong relationship. He is an excellent vet. I dont like seeing his name and establishment unfairly maligned! Its not right!

Rude, abrupt, uncaring and only interested in what sort of extra charges they can soak you for. They kept me waiting for a long time for a schedule appointment in a very smelly and dingy waiting room. I know its a vet, but the place smelled like it hadnt been cleaned in years. The same goes for the exam room which was dark, dirty and unpleasant. An older, balding vet came in without introduction, examined my cat without asking what the problem was and started immediately selling me tooth cleaning and de-worming treatments. Nice try - I had her teeth cleaned only months ago and I brought her in for ear mites! He didnt find them until I pointed them out to him and then completely lost interest in me once he found out I wouldnt pay for extra treatments. I got some overpriced eardrops and left, vowing never to return. There are plenty of other good vets in this area - avoid Watertown Animal Hospital.

I highly recommend Dr Cusick! He has cared for our dog and cats for the past 12 years, and is one of the best vets we have ever been to. He is extremely knowledgeable, and keeps up to date with all the latest developments and innovations. That being said, he is conservative and I completely trust when he tells us to wait until something is tested a bit more, or when he recommends something new. Our animals have consistently had the best of care from him. We found Dr Cusick when our dogs breeder recommended him, and after the first checkup we switched all our cats to him from a Cat Only practice.

Just came back from an appointment with my cat. Everything about this place was nice. It looked very clean and homey, the assistants were great and patient with my terrified-of-everything kitty. It was great to have such a concerned and caring vet like Dr. Cusick. He was gentle with my cat and very thorough in his explanations and answering my questions. The prices he quoted me for a full dental workup were a lot less than I was expecting for such a nice hospital. Im only sad I didnt find this place earlier :)

Outdated equipment, unfriendly staff, abusive to pets. Three reasons why I gave this place just one star. Went there with my lab, vet wouldnt get on the floor to look at his paw. Instead, struggled to force dog onto table which made him scared. Pee stains on the floor. Seriously, what vet has carpet in the exam rooms!?!? Magazines and information (e.g. packets, flyers, posters) were all from mid 90s. And who charges you to create a file in the computer? New customers beware!

I just called to find out their prices as I am looking for a new vet and the person was quite rude. I asked for vaccination prices and she said "We dont just vaccinate, they have to be seen before we would vaccinate." I was unclear so I asked if they had to be separate appointments and she rattled off three prices and hung up on me. Cant say I would really want that person dealing with my cat.

Dr. Cusik has been taking care of our dogs and cats for over 20 years. He is a brilliant vet, with not only a DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) but he also has a Ph.D in Animal Physiology. One of the great things about Dr. Cusik is that he personally knows the very best specialists in every field of Veterinary Medicine.

The Dr. and the people who work there are the best. They take incredible care of my pets and are very professional. Dr. Cusick is the best if you need a correct diagnosis for your pet or just incredible care. His support staff is great. I would never bring my pets anywhere else.

Skilled, knowledgeable, experienced, welcoming and comforting to my dog. Hydraulic examination tables with built in scales minimize lifting animals, which mine hates. Their staff helpful, informative and the office functions on time. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
