reviews. Ive been coming to Sakonnet Vets for over 20 years. I had two large Golden Retrievers when we first started coming and now have a senior Bischon Frissee as well as a new Golden puppy. I have always found the staff and vets more than caring, knowledgable, and professional. At one time I tried other Vets inProvidence and they just did not meet my high standards for my pets, so I'm happy to travel the distance to Tiverton. If you just have cats or a small to average sized dog theyre alright. But I have a large breed of dog and they did not understand him. He is sweet and gentle, but every time he went there they were adamant about him wearing a muzzle. They would crowd around him and hold him down to give him his shots. One of the vets had the nerve to tell me that he wasnt a good dog. That was the last time I brought any of my animals there.

I had to put my dog down and my regular vet cancled my appointment due to weather. Sakonnet got me in the same day and accommodated my needs. They where very empathetic and made the most difficult moment of my life that much easier. I could not thank them enough. Their entire staff had great bedside manner. Honestly Im glad I found them, Im glad they where so accommodating, and Im glad I went there instead of my normal vet.

Friendly, Thorough, Spotless! We have had our dogs at Sakonnet Vet for years. From the time you call the front desk, the quality of service is outstanding! They take there time and are very thorough with exams. I have always been given an appointment in a timely manner and have never have felt rushed during a visit. A major plus is the cleanliness! Sakonnet is spotless!
