Ive taken my rescue German Shepherd here for over a year. When I adopted my rescue pit/terrier five months ago, I took him here to have the Crown Jewels removed (sorry bud... But its better in the long run). This was covered under a grant associated with the rescue organization. The rescue organization and I (both, multiple times, and independently) contacted Belleville animal hospital (BAH) over a month in advance to coordinate invoicing. However, when it came time to pick up my dog, the receptionist at BAH informed me they could not allow the grant to cover the operation because their policy did not allow them to change the payor for a pet. Specifically, they could not bill the grantor instead of the pet owner. Two thoughts: 1) These are pets, considered property under law. HIPAA doesnt apply. Changing who you invoice is simple, legal, and easy. Also, ever hear of the biggest payor in history, Medicare? And thats for people. Woof. You administrative staff were too lazy to figure out how to change a field in your IT system... This had not a damn thing to do with policy. It had everything to do with support staff lethargy. 2) I consider the veterinarians at this business to be competent. This review is critical of the business, its bureaucracy, and specifically its administrative staff, not the four or five DVMs who do the actual work. In summary, this business has lost mine. I will find an independent, private practice, competent veterinarian whom I will pay up front, in cash, going forward. And I will probably pay less overall, because that DVM wont be dragging along 16 drones per producer. I recommend you do the same.

This hospital, since becoming Banfield is horrible. I took my dog there because her paw was bleeding and we could not tell if it was her claw, or pad. I made a makeshift wrap with Neosporin until we could get her in later that day. The vet came in, didnt introduce herself, and took her to the back. A while later they brought my dog back with a hard plastic bootie over her paw so she could barely walk and since they trimmed her nails while back there, they also brought her back bleeding! They cut one of her nails so short that they had to get a powder to stop it. The vet never came back to talk to me about why we were there in the first place or what they found. The tech finally came back and said it was a nail that had ripped off and so they wrapped it. They never even seemed concerned that they hurt my dog simply by trimming her nails either! The only after care instruction given to me was that the bootie may get moisture on the inside (since it was hard plastic) and if it did, we would have to take it off to save the wrap. No antibiotics or anything. Was just told to put Neosporin on it if it looked agitated. Needless to say after the bill, they charged 15 alone for a plastic bootie, we got home and the bootie came right off. My makeshift one was better than what they gave us. She was also limping because of how short they clipped her nail and hurt her . Absolutely ridiculous service! I have followed Dr. Dascher, and Dr. Driscoll to their new practice next door and just had an appointment. Once again they were amazing and my dogs didnt leave hurt! I am so glad they opened their practice next door!

***PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE* *****WARNING BEWARE OF THIS PLACE****** so i have a dog i adotpted from a friend, and have been taking care of for a few months and he has never been to the vet, he was not sick at all until i took him there. So i take him in to get a check up and the Vet said he was fine and in great health, no problems with him at all. She just wanted to give him medicine for his slight cough. Well for the next two weeks it has been hell, my dog throws up three times a day from the medicine and shots they gave him he wont play any more and sits around lathargic, so i took him back here today. They start checking him out and the vet keept calling him a girl...after a few times im like ..no he is a boy (if the vet cant figure out the sex of the dog, he shouldnt even be certified). But half way through i ask are they going to charge me for this visit...being that the last time i was here they said he was fine. (But really he bacame sicker then ever after being here )..... Now im just a broke college student and all my money i had went into his last visit...and this time they told me there was nothing they could do about it..the Nurse vet lady asked the vet if i could be on a payment plan..and he just straight up said NO....which goes to show he dosent care about the dogs well being.....Please dont go here to this vet!

This vet is fanstastic! They are very caring and are very knowledgeable and treat your pets like their own. No, they do not have "payment plans" but they do have additional information available on how you can easily and quickly finance emergent care for your pets. With the way the economy is they shouldnt be expected to do payment plans for animals as I am sure in the past people have elected to do expensive procedures but had no intentions of making payment. My family has brought our pets to this vet for more than 15 years and we go to no other place. They are honest and upfront, and are always willing to go the extra mile. When I got my dog neutered they were happy to keep him for an entire day ( so that I didnt have to miss any time at work.) I have recommended this vet to many individuals and they have never been a dissapointment.

Belleville Animal Hospital is the best place to take your animals. My family has been going to this vet for a number of years for our cats and dog. They all go above and beyond to care for your animals and they remember them by name. Recently, our older cat became very ill and the doctors tried their best to bring her back to good health. Unfortunately, my family had to make the difficult decision to put our cat down. The staff and doctors (especially Yvonne, Judy, Dr. Baca, and Dr. Dobson) were so very supportive and enabled us to spend the last few moments with our cat. They all treated us as a part of their family and helped us through the grieving process. They provided us with a remembrance paw print and even mailed us condolence cards to our home. I would definitely recommend this vet office to anyone!

I called and asked how much the office visit cost and the lady told me $25 and i even repeated to make sure i heard the correct amount. So knowing the office visit cost i made the appointment to take my cat in. Well after i took my cat in and they gave me a paper for cost of medications and so forth and noticed it said $45 for the office visit. So I said to the nurse that the lady who i spoke with and what time and day i called on she had the manager speak with me. The manager told me that Sandy had been there for around 8 years and the office visit cost has been the same for a long time know... so i was left paying the $45 office visit and knowing that they will be asking sandy about this I know even if she said to me $25 she wouldnt admit it to them. So NO I do not recommend taking your pet there.
