This place is just money hungry, insensitive people. Why are these therapist and psychiatrist in this business, if they dont understand mental illness and depression, you would think they would have empathy, but they dont. Dr. Pope is an old man with 1 foot in the grave, he cant even hear you and dont seem to understand what youre going through, he thinks you should just snap out of it, if he truly studied depression and psychiatry, he would know you cant just snap out of it. And the therapists there are no better, they talk to you like they understand but if you miss a few appointments theyre ready to close your case, sometimes you cant get out of bed, thats how bad depression is and you would know that if you are a true therapist or social worker who went to school for it. Most just go into this business to look important, thats why only people whove been through depression should go into this because they understand, I should. This whole thing is just a set up, they have you see a therapist before you can see a psychiatrist, thats required, because they know most people wouldnt even see a therapist, they would just see a psychiatrist. Some people may need a therapist, but theyre already telling you what you know and you have to pay them to tell you what you already know, all I need and others is medicine to get us to get going and live. This is the worst place to go, but theres not a lot of good places to get mental help in Flint Michigan. It seems we are going to have to travel out of the city or go to Grand Blanc to get help, because in Flint they treat us like were nothing, and than they wonder why and what they could have done if a mentally ill person snaps and does something horrible in society, maybe if they were nice and empathetic and truly try to understand us, maybe we wouldnt snap.

Darlene has been absolutely wonderful to work with. I was lucky enough to click with her right away, I didnt have to jump from therapist to therapist to find a match. I had to meet with my therapist before I could see the psychiatrist for medication. This is required. These visits cant be on the same day either. These restrictions are set by insurance and regulations, not the clinic. They, like any doctors office, request you cancel your appt 24hrs in advance rather than no-show. They could put another client in your spot- someone that could be in a desperate frame of mind. So, be considerate to others. For the most part, the office staff are very kind and helpful. The building and lobby are outdated, which does not provide a good first impression. However, Im not going there for a nice lobby. If you do your part, switch therapists until you find someone that you like, be patient for the meds to start working, and realize that therapists are guides- they cant fix you. YOU have to use their guidance to fix yourself. It is a difficult journey & you have to work very hard on yourself. If you do, you will be successful in regaining control of your life.

The receptionists talk about patients behind their backs, the docs conduct therapy with patients in the hall and doorway in front of others, office staff is rude and i got nothing from therapy with them at all. One of the psychiatrists (docs) is practically unable to speak English decently and he has a huge attitude problem. They dont care too much about the patients, just the almighty buck. You have to pay prior to getting to see your doctor before every appointment. Thats bizarro. They misplace insurance paperwork alot and dont even apologize. A female receptionist kept commenting on the expensive handbag that my girlfriend was carrying when she came in with me, it really just made us uncomfortable and we could hear her loudly talking about us behind our backs. One of the other girls in the back office finally told her to shut up. She was obviously annoyed that my girlfriend had a really expensive purse that she couldnt afford!

The office staff here are rude and unprofessional. If I didnt like my therapist so much, I would dread coming here and dealing with these people. I can hear them laughing and making jokes about patients and talking about other innapropriate topics behind the glass, and they frequently ignore patients who are waiting at the desk to ask them questions. They mess up peoples co-pays and billing too, and more often than not forget to let your therapist know you are there, so you are late meeting with them and then are running behind. Seriously, I dont know how they stay in business with such horrible office staff.

The receptionists are rude and Dr. is a money hungry man and doesnt care about his patients. Got my script on Tuesday and they had to fax over paperwork to my insurance in order for me to pick it up, said that it was sent out Friday. Its now Monday and they are just now sending over my paperwork. Been without medication for a week now. Also the receptionists talk about the patients badly behind their back thinking we cant hear them. They always mess up my billing. And im billed for hour long sessions with the therapist which I only get to talk to for maybe a half hour. I will be looking for a new office.

I have been seeing an absolutely wonderful therapist here for several months and have spoken to her about the office staff when I have an issue but also have learned to say something to the person politely when needed.. I also see a Dr whom has difficulty being understood by me but he has been very good to me. So tha trade off has been worth the small amount of stress I have had to deal with. When I look at why I go there those problems become so small.

Very rude receptionist! Kept cutting me off and speaking over me when I tried to make appt. Never made an appt. Decided not to waste my time there.
