The Doctor is fine, but Healthcare Midwest isnt! Healthcare Midwest has a policy that requires you to provide a credit card number regardless of your payment or insurance payment history. My health insurance company and I have always paid my Medical Bills on time... never late, not one time. This policy by Healthcare Midwest should be illegal; In an age of Identity theft I certainly dont like giving my credit card number and information to someone or someplace when I have no intention of using it for the payment of my medical bills. This policy falls in the same category as home and auto insurance companies using your credit report to calculate your insurance rate… what in the heck does a credit rating have to do with your driving? It’s just a way of getting more money out of people… something insurance companies are best at! If you have no intentions of paying your medical bills with your credit card and Midwest won’t bill your credit card provider without your permission, then they have no business obtaining your credit card number and credit card company information. What if a patient doesnt have a credit card... well, Healthcare Midwest will charge you a fee of $10.00 (enforcing fee) per billing, if you dont provide an active credit card. It’s unfortunate that some of our favorite Doctors are affiliated with Healthcare Midwest, because it puts their patients in a bad position… either comply or pay extra!!! All patients should be enraged with Healthcare Midwest by this policy and rate their performance and the Doctors who allow this to happen accordingly. Please feel free to copy, paste and use when rating Healthcare Midwest and your Doctors who are affiliated with Healthcare Midwest.

I think that it is hit or miss with this hospital. I have had good and bas experiences. While the hospital itself is very clean and beautiful, I did have to go in for an outpatient procedure and was less than impressed with the service received. I expected the nurses to be nice, outgoing and happy people, eager to comfort and ease my fears while preparing me for my procedure. Unfortunately, this was not the way that my visit preceded. My first bad experience was with my IV. I explained to the nurse that came in to start the IV that I have small veins that tend to roll. Most nurses have the best success with my right hand, so I suggested that she try using that hand. She tried one time to get the IV in, the vein rolled and my hand puffed up like a softball. She seemed to actually get angry about the vein rolling and she left the room. After a few minutes, another nurse entered after a few minutes and put an IV in my other arm on her first try. Also, I have been to other hospitals for other procedures and the nurses have been friendlier. I understand I was just in for testing, but the doctors schedule was running behind and they just left me in the room. I was scared and it would have been nice if I could have been updated once in a while on the status of the doctor’s schedule. I felt forgotten about. The doctor that did the procedure, however, was very nice. So is his staff. While I am very glad that I do not have to see them again (because I am okay!), I am disappointed that not all doctor offices are as kind as he and his staff is.

This hospitals standard of care is horrible. It took my girlfriend 2 weeks, both of us calling everyday, just to get an appointment scheduled. They werent taking her seriously at all because shes only 25. They scheduled it for 6 weeks out, despite the terrible pain she was in. Turns out she had an ovarian cyst and it burst while she was waiting to get the testing done. The doctors werent bad, it was the horrible office staff that couldnt get anything done. A doctor is only as good as the staff in front, and Bronson Hospital is notorius for having a terrible one. I talked to a bunch of my friends this , and it turns out some of them had equally bad experiences. None of us will ever go to this hospital again, and we are filing a complaint with LARA

Friendly and kind staff, nurses & doctor. ER staff and doctor were all very accommodating. Went in for food poisoning and left able to make a 2.5 hr drive home alone. Its nice that their ER has separate rooms for each bed with walls and sliding glass doors rather than curtains so its a little quieter than other ERs however theres always someone coming in and out of your room and the staffs walkie talkie system would drive anyone nuts including the staff, I dont know how they can focus on patient care with someone always chiming in. I cracked up, the nurse had to hang my IV bag from the ceiling mounted exam light to get it high enough...get these nurses some taller IV poles!

One star for kind and friendly staff. The burn centers professional is absent over the weekend and the bandage job for my second degree burns fell off in the parking lot. I did a better job at home with my first aid kit. They did not treat my wounds-they said they werent authorized to and still billed me for it-and told me to schedule an appointment with a professional who doesnt work over the weekend (no one else was there to look at my FACIAL burns). Im so glad I went back home and got real treatment from a different ER. Even Borgess bounced me to this clinic and I had a very large burn on my face! Note to reader: NEVER get burned in Kalamazoo.

I went in for severe abdominal and back pain relating to my menstrual cycle. The three people working the front desk already seemed disinterested and seemed unhappy for me to be there. There was another gentlemen in the waiting room waiting to be seen before me. The half ass taking my vitals and asking about my pain. I sat in the waiting room for 50 minutes waiting to be seen. No one wanted to make eye contact with me. They broadcasted over 5 rooms that were clean in this span. When I finally had enough and got up to leave they threatened to have me arrested because they assigned me a room and I needed to be seen. I am beyond furious.

The doctor I used to see at Bronson is excellent. However, her staff is unorganized and misinformed. For example, I needed to share some information with my PCP. The CMA at Bronson Neurology claimed over and over that my PCP had no right to the information because I hadnt filled out the paperwork. However, in My Chart it is clear that I had filled out the paperwork, and they clearly had been sharing information with my PCP up to a point. Then they stopped. I dont know why they stopped sharing, and neither does my PCP. Ill never find out because the "super sleuths" at Bronson are too lazy to look into it.

My experience with the doctors and staff was wonderful. But a year after my accident I am still paying on a bill that should of been takem care of. I called and talked to billing on 7/19/17, after getting another bill, where they told me I did not pay my deductible. I did talk to my insurance company where they let me know some of the line items were paid on 6?27/17. When I talked to billing the paymemts were still "pending." I recently had to go through cancer treatments and the billing at Parkwiew hospital where I havre not had a billing issue. I would recommend Parlview over Bronson anyday.
