Bringing my animals to this animal hospital was the worst decision of my life. I brought my cat in for a basic spay and declaw procedure that was very much mishandled. I had brought her in for her surgery, not only but a few hours later i receive a phone call saying that there had been an "anesthetic error", but that she would be fine they were just unable to proceed with the surgery. Dr. Couvelaire and her veterinary staff had forgotten the oxygen when administering her anesthetic, which caused her skin to bubble. When I arrived to see her, she was not functional, or responsive in any way. Dr. Couvelaire acted very loose about the matter, and suggested that I take her to MSU during a hailstorm for further care, because she could not give her the care she needed at that point. When I demanded she drive her to MSU because I felt as if it were her responsibility, she abided. Upon arriving to MSU I never received a phone call of her whereabouts, or anything in regards to the situation. I had to research for myself and make several phone calls to get through to the vet that was responsible for my cat. finally, I discover because of all the pressure that had been forced unnaturally throughout her body, she had went blind, Luckily, after arriving home this was just temporary. Dr. Couvelaire and her entire stafff are very careless, negligent and undeserving of their titles. I would never recommend anyone take any of their beloved pets to this clinic, if you cannot even trust them to do a simple spay & declaw, which should be like breathing to any professional in this field. I was extremely disappointed, and If i wasnt able to convince her into paying for everything involving this incident, and the follow up spay & declaw by another vet then I would have sued her into the next century.

Without doubt the best vet around. Ive been taking my two labs there since they opened. Dr Couvelaire is the most compassionate vet Ive ever known. She treats my dogs like family. One of my labs has dealt with significant food allergy problems since I found her. Dr Couvelaire helped to get everything under control. This past Friday, she got very sick again and needed urgent attention. The office was closed on Saturday but I left a voicemail letting them know I was going to take her into urgent care. Within minutes Dr. Couvelaire called me back and let me bring her into the office. She determined Riley should stay at least one night. The next day Riley was ready to come home, and feeling much better. But the best part is that Dr Couvelaire didnt feel comfortable leaving Riley in the Kennel overnight since she was still sick - she actually took her home for the night to keep an eye on her. I have never felt like my dogs were in better hands. Dr Couvelaire and the staff at Grace Animal Clinic are amazing.

After going through an exhausting routine to find a Veterinarian and staff here that we were comfortable with when we moved was seeming like it was going to result in staying with a long trip to our former Vet in our former town until we took the kitties we rescued & adopted to Dr. Karen. Dr. Karen and her staff are wonderful! I have worked as a Veterinary Tech in the past when I was younger, and am very picky about who cares for my pets/rescues..... We will continue to go the Grace animal hospital faithfully as long as we live in the area! We drive from North Muskegon, and sometimes from our house up north to see her. Always worth the trip, and always a pleasure to know our animals are safe in her/her staffs hands when they are there.Whether it be a quick stop or a stay overnight as our Kitten needed for his paws.- I know they are in great hands.Thanks to a Wonderful Vet and staff.

We used to bring our dogs here when it was "Airline Pet Clinic" and never had any problems. Once the owners changed we called about getting stitches for our lab who cut is hind leg on some metal to see what it would take to get it taken care of. The lady we spoke with said that IF they could save his leg it was going to cost at least $600. Needless to say we were shocked and terrified that we were going to have to have our energetic/playful dogs leg amputated. Our dogs are our children so it was awful news. Well, then we called Glenside Animal Hospital for a second opinion. They stapled his leg up and bandaged it, and eased our minds for only $200! BIG difference! The people at Glenside were very helpful and cared about our dog :-) I refuse to take our dogs to Grace after that rediculous over the phone diagnosis.

Dr. Karen Couvelaire is the most knowledgeable, professional, talented and caring veterinarian we have had the pleasure of knowing. Grace Animal Hospital’s staff and facility is top notch, sparkling clean and has medical equipment for necessary for performing most necessary and routine “in house” tests and x-rays. Dr. Karen is currently taking care of our two geriatric, special needs cats and we have absolutely no doubt our girls are receiving top quality care. And yes, end of life care including euthanasia is something all loving pet owners must think about for our beloved pet family members. We are so comforted to know we’ll have Dr. Karen’s help for our girls when needed. Thank you Dr. Couvelaire, we’re delighted to have you caring for our girls in your new clinic.

We have 3 cats and drive over 30 minutes to bring them to Grace Animal Hospital. Over the years, weve used lots of different vet clinics for our pets, but Dr. Couvelaire is the first vet who treated our cats like they are a member of our family, and not just an animal. We had urgent matters twice and both times they said "our schedule is full, but bring her in and well figure it out". And, the receptionist and her techs very helpful and kind as well. As long as she is there, thats where we will go! Thank you Doctor C!

I am here to tell you Dr Couvelaire from Grace Animal Hospital saved my dogs life. She was diagnosed with Cushings and has been treating her. I have a new dog! I can not express my gratitude to her enough! She is the most compassionate veterinarian I have ever met. Her willingness to get all the information and treatment for my pet was awesome. She is very busy and I can see why. If someone doesnt like her its probably because they wont follow her recommendations. She is fair and very reasonable.

receptionist was very rude twice before I was able to bring my dog in. we were loyal customers to Airline Pet Clinic and never recd poor customer service. This lady was rude and pushy on the phone both times I called, I cancelled the appt and never met the new Vet.
