I took my 6yr old teacup yorkie (Chloe) to this clinic the middle part of March 2015 because she had a very bloated belly. It was so big it was hard for her small 3lb frame to hold it up to walk. When I noticed it I immediately took her to this vet that was recommended to me. We were sitting in an exam room when a large dog came barging in the ajar door ready to attack. When the Dr. finally came in, I explained what was wrong, he pressed on her belly then told me "oh its just gas", give her some over the counter GasX. I was stunned because when I googled her symptoms every site suggested kidney or heart failure. I did not give her the over the counter meds but I did monitor to see if her symptoms worsened. It seemed to get better, and she never acted as if she was sick. Then on March 27, 2015 while at work, my daughter called to tell me Chloe fell down the basement stairs and was shaking. I rush home and noticed her belly was extremely big where it was now protruding both sides and dragging the ground. I hurried her back to Avon. As soon as I walked in the Dr. noticed her belly and instructed me to leave immediately and take her to the hospital....I asked what could be wrong, he replied that her bloated belly could be a symptom of kidney or heart failure. In tears I run out, and took her straight to the hospital. Within a few minutes the Dr. had her in the back doing blood work, testing a sample & draining the fluid out of her belly, and gave her meds. Dr came back in and explained that she seemed to have lost a lot of protein over the weeks and I should have gotten her there sooner. My Chloe seemed a lot better, playful with a small belly again. She later died throughout the night. RIP my little baby.

I took my new dog there to be examined after I had found her wandering the streets a few weeks before. I attempted to find the owner, unsuccessfully. So I kept her, and decided I wanted her microchipped and vaccinated. They got me in immediately, which was the only nice thing about them. The receptionist/tech (if she even truly was a tech), was brutal while trying to draw blood for a heartworm check. Not to mention how extremely rude and unpersonable she was. They make you hold your own animal while they are taking blood, vaccinating, etc...They tech couldnt find her vein and tightened a tourniquet so tight my dog almost jumped out of my arms. Then they microchipped her without any type of warning to me that they should wait until I get her spayed so that shes already anesthetized. They made me hold her while they did that also, and she did jump out of my arms at that point. They also knew she had a cold when I took her to them, but insisted they could give her a rabies shot and all other vaccines at the same time. I told them I only wanted the rabies, but that didnt matter. When I got my dog home, she had a huge swollen leg from the blood draw, wouldnt eat normally for almost 3 weeks, and was terrified of me for over a month. She hid under my bed from me. Needless to say, I will never go back or recommend them to anyone, and I have found a better vet elsewhere. In this case, you definitely do get what you pay for, because the only other good thing about this location is the price, and its not worth what you save, because you will spend it elsewhere trying to get your pet back to health.

This place is a dump. Its filthy, stinks and the receptionist is just as dirty. The vet himself seems to just want the pets in and out as quick as possible, even if they arent doing well. My dog came home with his nose bloody and the vet didnt even try to wipe it clean or see why. We still dont know what happened, but his once black nose went to pink when it finally healed. My cat was declawed and set home a bloody mess. All the vets concern was getting paid and trying to push services that we didnt want. Ive gone here more than once, HOPING itd be different, yet it never is. Sure, theyre inexpensive, but Id pay more for a better atmosphere in every aspect.

We love the vet here, especially my dogs. However the receptionist is rude and makes it near impossible to get my dogs prescriptions without paying their unreasonable prices. Wont even write me a script as she is legally obligated to do. Unfortunate that we have to find a new vet sonce he is so great with my dogs.

Wonderful office with extremely resonable prices! The vet really loves and takes a personal interest in your pet. He also understands pet care can be costly and will work with you and try to negotiate a price that is reasonalble for both parties.

Always excellent service! Dr. Mahajan saved my dogs life when he surgically removed a large blister from her flank. And I was not overcharged. You can trust your pets healthcare to Dr. Mahajan!
