Best Friends Vet is by far the best vet office I have ever been to. I have taken my 4 pugs, cat, and even one of my pet rats there. Dr. Riggs is so great with all of my animals, and is very personable. The receptionists are also very welcoming when you walk in. I have never had to wait very long in the waiting room or even in the exam room. They have always fit me in if something is going on with one of my pets that can not wait...this is what brought me to them in the first place. One of my pugs had a urinary tract infection and was peeing blood, and another vet wanted me to wait 3 days for an available appointment. I called them, and they fit me in. I now live about 20-25 minutes away, and I will still continue to bring all of my pets to Best Friends, even though there is several vet offices less than a mile from where I live.

Dr. Riggs and his team at Best Friends do an outstanding job taking care of my Canine Companions for Independence service dog Carlos. Dr. Riggs is the official vet for CCIs North Central Regional Training Center, located in nearby Delaware, OH. He took care of Carlos as a pup, from when he was six weeks old until Carlos and I graduated from CCI Team Training in November of 2009. Carlos has loved being back at Best Friends! We had chosen and gone to another vet at first which was closer to home, but came back to Best Friends because we knew that Dr. Riggs and his colleagues know Carlos best. It is so worth the 45-minute drive! Dr. Riggs and his team at Best Friends are the only people I trust to help me care for my best friend! We wouldnt dream of going anywhere else!

My family has taken our dogs to Best Friends since it was in a tiny building tucked behind a drive thru. I wouldnt take my sweet pup Rocky anywhere else. Rocky has severe vet anxiety and everyone there is always patient and kind, coming up with solutions for his anxiety and always refusing my apologies for his jumpiness. Dr. Riggs in particular is a miracle worker--the only person who can stick my dog with a needle and still have Rocky excited to see him! But all of the vets, techs, and employees are wonderful. The prices are definitely on the high side but I think its reasonable for the market theyre in, and the incredible quality of care they deliver. Thank you, Dr. Riggs and staff! Keep doing what youre doing!

Our family has been taking our dogs here for 23 years (office used to be on Smoky Row). Theyve been there for us for everything and helped take excellent care of our furry family members- thanks in part due to their surgical center and skilled staff. When the time came to say goodbye to our last fifteen year old friend they were extremely accommodating to our needs and his. Now I have a puppy which theyve done a wonderful job keeping happy and healthy. You get a real sense that everyone here is truly passionate about animals and loves them dearly. I have absolutely nothing but positive experiences here and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

For almost 34 years our family has been with Best Friends. The staff are outstanding- so welcoming and caring from the moment you walk in until you leave. Dr Ritchie and Dr. Riggs are the most compassionate men when it comes to our pets ( we have had 7 dogs and cats over the years), and their honesty and knowledge is incredible. I have recommended many of my friends and neighbors to this hospital and as long as I have a pet, I know I have a home with them. Josie (our 12 year old chocolate lab) looks so forward to being there but most especially the dog treat when we sign out :) Thank you for many years of caring for my babies.

We had taken our 11 year old lab mix to another vet for years. When she became ill, another local vet with multiple locations insisted on extensive testing and even an exploratory surgery to determine what was wrong. Uncomfortable with that course of action we went to Best Friends. Dr. Riggs & Dr. Lattimer suggested a change in diet and some oral meds. We administered the meds, changed her food, and our special girl improved immediately...!!! Everyone there is pleasant and they really work to earn your trust and take care of your pets. We will be going exclusively to Best Friends. Great Staff and Great Care. Thanks Best Friends!

I loved this place! the doctors were nice to my pug, always finding ways to calm him and make him feel better. The receptionists were always helpful and respectful of my time. Never tried to do more tests than needed, (they actually refused to do more than necessary). They are not cheap, but definitely were more reasonable than the previous vet we used to visit and they were always clear when I asked as of how much it was going to be (no additional charges without notice) When I moved to TX they sent me the medical history of my baby right away, we are still missing them.

Dr. Ritchie and the staff are the best. They love all pets and they treat them like they would want their pets treated. Most caring and loving of our beloved Sarah who got cancer of her liver. Dr. Ritchie stayed late on a Friday to do emergency surgery. He was awesome with her. She managed to live only a few more months but all of the staff felt our pain when we had to have her put down. Everyone in their office signed a sympathy card they sent to us. As far as their charges - you get what you pay for and since they are the best - what price would you pay for the best?

They have taken such good care of our dogs that after we moved to Hilliard, we still continue to go here. They truly care about your animals. One of our dogs has the craziest medical problems. The doctors have gone home and done extra research and have called to check on her progress. When our other dog passed, they were so wonderful during a difficult time. They even made a donation in her name to a local wildlife conservation. 5 stars for sure!

Dr. Riggs squeezed me in right away on a Friday morning after my little buddy woke up his eye swollen shut. We were in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. He took the time to educate me on what was going on and how to go about making him better. I left with peace of mind and very happy with how the visit went. The staff up front were very helpful and pleasant to work with. I strongly recommend Best Friends Veterinary!

I Adore Dr. Riggs & Ritchie. All the staff are really friendly, they make you and your pets feel apart of their family and that they truly care about your pets. My Lab Sampson loves Dr. Riggs and every time he comes into the room Dr. Riggs gets down on his knees to get his kisses from Sampson and to give Sampson TLC! I really cant say enough about Best Friends.
