I have been going to Patterson for about 10 years. All the vets there have demonstrated professional competence and compassion for the animals they treat and the people who love them. Dr. Zalac has always provided me with elegant and simple explanations of my cats situation and given me options so I could decide what was in the best interest of my pet as well as my budget. She also has directed me to specialists when needed. I have never felt as if there was any attempt to get me to spend more money than needed. On the contrary, she has always been sensitive to save me money where possible. Because of her recommendations, my 15 year old cat who was suffering from an obstruction to his airway now thinks he is a kitten again. Dr. Zalac and the vet techs were also there for my other cat at that most sensitive time when euthanasia necessary. She gave me a Valium to give to him on his last day so he would not be anxious when she and the vet tech came to the house to give him the final injection. he never suffered. She had told me about surgical options for him and was realistic about the projected outcome. She was fully supportive of my decision. My kitty died peacefully at the end of a happy day, pain and stress free. I also want to mention Dr. Hildebrand who is a wonderful vet. The only reason she is no longer the primary vet that I see is because of our conflicting schedules. She is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate; an excellent vet. At various times I have seen other vets at Patterson, all of whom have been very good with us people as well as our pets. The only negative I have to say about the place is that usually there is something of a wait time even if you arrive on time for your appointment, but I guess this cant be helped since sometimes people run a little late and sometimes things require a little more time than scheduled. Id rather wait a little and know that when it is my turn I wont be held to a strict schedule and rushed out after my allotted time just so the business could run like clockwork.

Used to come here all the time until my dog had a serious issue and they didnt handle it accordingly. Extremely unprofessional staff, which was disappointing considering I had know them for about 5 years. Never got any call backs, always left messages and didnt get the service that we deserved. Considering the amount of money, time and patience...I was appalled when I was asked to take down a review I left on yelp. I did so, at the request of doctor zalik. A separate trip left me once again displeased so I put my review back up and was forced to take him to an emergency clinic because patterson diagnosed him incorrectly! One last chance I said : how can they mess up a simple nail clip?? Well they did. As I waited for my dog to get his nails cut, I witnessed the staff huddled around the computer reading my previous review....and one nurse said out loud "so do we cut his nails??" Are you seriously considering to deny me service because of a bad review that was completely avoidable on YOUR part patterson?!? The staff may seem nice at first, but I wouldnt trust them at all. Never have been called or reached out to by any type of manager or owner but they are all very aware of the situation.

I am a hard working, educated and wise young lady. My cat will die because of their neglegence. I started taking my kitten there, he had problems from the start. I took him frequently because he was always sick, they would hardly check his vitals, rarely even taking his temperature, no blood test, no x-rays, nothing. His check ups there were always half-assed, they never looked into his problems I told them he was having, (diarrhea, fevers, difficulty breathing) theyd just give me basic anti-biotics, charge me and send me on my way. The time came for my kitty to get fixed, I dropped him off and I get a call from them telling me that they took a blood test and x-ray and temperature, his arterys were inflamed, they found he had a heart murmur, and a 104 degree temperature. They told me my cat will probably die. I stopped taking him there, and I saw another vet, gave him my cats information, all the paperwork I ever received from this vet, and they told me I should sue. If they hadnt been so lazy, unprofessional and neglegent, my cat would not have the heart defect he has now that will kill him any day now. Shame on them.

My cat had been seriously injured before she was given to me, she apparently had the wound for most of her life - a polydactyl with a cut between her toes where she had extra nails. I had thought it was healed, though I began to have concerns when the claw began to yellow and the wound started to stink. I did what I could for her, and had feared I was going to have to drop at least a grand to get it fixed - considering this had been going on for years so who knew how deep the infection was. I took her in and they removed the bad claw and gave me two types of antibiotics - on top of rabies shots and other care and it came to just under 300 dollars and they were so good to her and so considerate of me, I was so relieved once it was all over and done with I actually cried. They had to leave the wound open as to not sew the infection in and Im happy to say shes completely healed. I would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone, the facilities are clean and quiet and the staff are great and all our pets love going there as best they can.

Our older cat, Jamie, had developed arthritis and was moving less and less. Oh yes, he weighs 28 pounds. We set an appointment expecting a huge vet bill with not much help which had been our experience with other veterinary hospitals. At Patterson, every member of the clinic expressed an interest in the well being of Jamie. Dr. Schwarb listened to our tail of woe as we described our numerous efforts to help Jamie loose weight. Dr. Schwarb did a physical exam and came back with a good overall physical report and several suggestions. He described what had been successful for him feeding his cat a restricted diet. He recommended a supplement for Jamies joints and weight loss food. We were able to purchase them at the clinic. We saw a improvement in Jamie within one week and he was awesomely mobile in a few weeks. He is now on a limited food intake diet. For all of this, the bill was remarkably reasonable. Highly recommended.

I have four animals (two cats and two dogs) and they all go to Patterson. I am very pleased with the service my animals receive when I go there. The staff are always very helpful and interactive with my animals. Ive probably seen every vet in there because of all my animals and they too love on my fur babies. Anytime I need to go outside of my annual check ups, i.e. something bad has happened, they provide me with options and explanations. I believe they arent too hasty in making major decisions on unnecessary and/or aggressive treatments or medications, which I really appreciate. The health and wellness of my animal is whats most important to me and it seems that is the case for the people at Patterson, as well. They are the preferred vet for the kennel/dog day care I take my dogs too. Im happy with Patterson and will continue to use them for not just my current 4, but any other animals I get down the road.
