If I could give less than 1 star I would. I WAS a long time customer of theirs ... until the office manager, Ashley, accused me of being a horrible pet owner. While accusing me, she was screaming at me. I couldnt get a word in edgewise, I guess she really like to hear herself yell. She also said that I was unprofessional ....? .... and before she hung up on me the first time, she said "Youre fired". When I called back, she answered the phone and wouldnt let me speak to anyone else. She then hung up on me again. This all started when they called me to say THEY had been making a mistake regarding my dogs medication for years. She said my dog would need to be seen again. I agreed, but asked if it could wait until after the holidays (this occurred the day before Thanksgiving) because all of this was just sprung on me and explained that I dont have the extra money for a $100+ vet bill at the moment. This is when things got ugly and she started yelling at me. Id like to add ... my dog has needed this medication since Schoolcraft vet spayed her when she was a pup. She is now 10. When this issue was first discovered after she was spayed, the vet at the time explained to me that her becoming incontinent was typical for female dogs after being spayed but it was rare for it to happen to a puppy, it usually becomes an issue later in adulthood. The vet said something could have happened during the surgery, which to me made it sound like it was their fault. I never once cause a fuss about the fact that she would need medication every day for the rest of her life. Ashley flat out told me I was lying and that my file didnt say it was their fault. Two years ago, I had another bad experience with them and thought of finding another vet then. I should have. Instead, the issue was resolved and I decided to keep giving them my business. I wont get into details, but it involved another one of their employees treating me like garbage. I think they need to replace the office manage because her horrible attitude is clearly getting to the rest of the staff.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a business. I wish I had the time and space to explain my entire situation, but that would take too long. All I can say is that this clinic charged us for euthanizing our dog after she was hit by a car. The only problem was they did not such thing. We tried to contact them to inform them of their mistake and were never able to get in touch with the person we needed to speak to. We received a phone call from them telling us that we are 90 days late on this bill. When we tried to explain the situation we were YELLED at by Kathy, the office manager, and finally hung up on. We tried to call back three times to get this taken care of. The second phone call also ended with Kathy yelling at us and hanging up on us. On the third time, we let Kathy get her yelling out of the way and told her we would be happy to pay the bill once the euthanization charge came off. She said it already was, but we were unable to pay the bill because she already sent us to collections. I am not one to call for somebody’s job…but Kathy should find another line of work. Her people skills are non-existent, and her attitude is beyond explanation. I have no problem with her sending us to a collection agency. I will gladly settle my debt with them for pennies what the actual bill was. Kathy may think that sending us to collections would ‘teach us a lesson’, but all she did was cost herself more work and very little reward. I know the collection agency will gladly take a cut out of what we pay, letting Kathy collect about $6 on the original bill of $60. Please, do not take your pets to this place. They are very, very cheap…but your pets deserve better then these people.

I loved Schoolcraft vet, the front desk girls and the techs are amazing most animal friendly people, they dont necessarily make me feel overly "warm" and "cozy" but Im there for my dog not me and she loves to see them! The actual vet has been my most recent issue. I had went in there about a year ago to get my dogs her shots, I have kept every piece of medical information I have ever received about her health, even just legal papers (licence, ect.) Anything to know about her is in a folder I religiously take every time we go. I had called to ask why the vet didnt give her a 3 yr vaccination, because she was 2 at the time and had her puppy shots already. I was told I should have been asked if I wanted a 1 or 3 year shot at the time of the appointment, which I can assure I wasnt given an option, also the vet had her folder looked through it, even complemented the previous vet we had, but apparently the only other reason is if she didnt have documentation of a previous rabies which I had pulled out along with her puppy shots, and on top was the documentation from Schoolcraft, I understand people make mistakes but, I hate that there is no compensation for the vets mistake or even a sorry, I get her shots every year anyway but when It comes to my dog the less she gets poked the happier I think she is and, I definitely feel better when she isnt getting more shots than she really needs. The only reason for 3 stars is they still have the most animal oriented staff, I have personally seen. Mariah and Kayla are great and might be the only reason I go back.

The past years they were always good to us. Now they have a staff member that always has a frown on her face and is rude. They also gave me a guaranteed price of 30 days, in writing at the bottom of the LONG list of things that needed to be done for my Boston Terrier. I could go on and on. They said my dog has a tumor in his ear but when they gave me ear spray, it went away. She was really pushing to get the ear surgery, not out of concern for my dog but I feel for the money. I want my dog neutered and she didnt think that was important? WHAT? Hes 12 years old, he needs to be neutered. He still wants to hump everything in sight. Oh, and they DONT take payments anymore. Who has over $1,000 just sitting around? When I expressed my concern with the doctor, she didnt care. She simply said, "we dont do payments". Excuse me? Is this a vet clinic for only the rich? No matter if youre rich, poor, medium income, it should not matter. We all love our pets the same. I am completely disgusted with my last two visits. They over charged me as well and when I called back, the girl on the other end tried to say it was changed a few weeks ago, um no it was not because I was there a few weeks ago with my dog. Then she said, Oh must have been the end of March. I was like, that was yesterday. She stumbled over her words and gave some lame excuse about prices changed all the time. Is this a grocery store or a vet clinic? Come on, really? Make it right Schoolcraft Vet Clinic or I wont be back.
