I recently had an absolutely unacceptable level of service from the KHS. My sister had scheduled an appointment for her cat to be spade or whatever the technical term for it is on a female cat. The appointment was for 2/12/2015. She had to work at 8 and asked if she could drop off the cat sooner than that, as the normal drop off time is 7:30. The lady had told her on the phone the day before she could drop her off at 7:15. Now keep in mind, my sister already tried to come in early to fill out the paperwork so that I could drop the cat off at a later time, but they told her that was not allowed as they only fill it out on the day of appointment or something to that effect. Sounds like bullsh*t. Anyway, so we get there at 7:10 and its 10 degrees with a negative windchill. We knock on the door, there are two ladies in there as you can see through the window. Both of them look at us standing out there in the cold on two different occasions. We ring the door bell three times, and they simply ignore us. Thats correct ladies.... 1. Did not come to the door to see what we wanted. 2. Did not say to come back at 7:15 3. Did not come open up the door. They just left you standing out there in the cold. Even at 7:15 they never came to the door despite knowing we were standing out there. Where were they you might ask? Standing at the front desk talking in clear view of the windows. Yep. While you and your animal are out in the fkn cold waiting on them, they are chit chatting for 10+ minutes while you stand there. Eventually we left as I told her this was unacceptable service and to just go to a vet instead. I have had my pets serviced at the pet hospital and Sprinkle Road where they actually treat humans as well as pets like they matter. They do not just leave you standing in the cold while they chat in the warmth and ignore you completely. Its a good thing this place is cheap, as they obviously would be out of business otherwise. This is a completely unacceptable level of service by an organization that claims to be all about caring for animals. What about caring for their HUMAN pet owners? This is absolutely ridiculous and those people should be fired.

i had no problems when I brought my cat in last month. they actually had me scheduled out for 2 months (because the current mo was full, and the following month was only for pets under 6mo of age). I did call back the following week to see if there were any cancelations- and there was! so my apt was bumped up that same week. they had my cat on file- everything went smooth. the only think I dont care for is lining up outside like im in a herd. lol. also when I went they were giving the lady ahead of me a hard time b/c she brought 2 cats, but only 1 was marked down- the lady kept insisting she was told she could bring both, but they were telling her that the other one might not get done, since it wasnt down.. but then the lady played the VM from the humane society worker that clearly said she was down for both cats.. then they changed their mind really quick. lol. not sure how they go from "we might not have time" to 2 seconds later, all of a sudden its not problem.. lol. but like I said- I had a good exp. my cat is just fine, healed well. thanks!

Brought our healthy 4 month old Kitten here for a simple neuter, dead 3 hours later. Pay the extra money to go to a real vet, Ive learned my lesson and hope everyone reads this post before considering this place.
