We used Dr. Hubbard in the past when we had to put our golden down. It was an extremely hard decision for us but we were told she made house calls for that situation and we wanted him to be home when it happened. It was the best choice we could have made. She was not only extremely compassionate but also empathetic. She cried as well as we did and that meant something. It wasnt just another dog for her to put down; even though we had never used her as a vet, she has a heart and understood that pain for us. That happened about 7-8 months ago, after that I said the next time Id be needing veterinary service, I would use Critter Care. Now in June, I needed both my Shar Peis to get their round of vaccinations and also my females skin looked at. I called Friday afternoon and was set up to come in at noon on Saturday. When I arrived, I signed in and waited in my car (my dogs get weird around other animals) and we were called in to a room when ready. A tech took their weight and went to get their vaccinations and the doctor. I asked her if we would be seeing. Dr.Hubbard and she said that doctor Hubbard was now at their new location in Blountstowm and I would be seeing Dr. Collier. I didnt know how to feel about it at first, my male Shar Pei is not great with men and I was really looking forward to seeing Dr Hubbard. When doctor Collier came in he went straight into questions, he asked me all about my female (with the skin issue) how long Ive had her and how long the problem has been going on, everything from A-Z; I knew then he was the vet for me. He was so thorough and actually sat and listened to all my concerns and questions. I have NEVER had a vet sit down with me and actually take that much to learn about my dog. He was extremely knowledgeable on what Shar Pei fever was. I am just floored and so happy that I found someone I feel comfortable going to. I trust his opinions and I dont feel like Im being ripped off, they are very affordable. They make it possible for me to actually take care of my dogs without being rich because my husband and I dont make the most money. Bottom line... go here they are incredible. Best staff Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting. Cant speak highly enough. Thank you Critter Care staff for everything!!

I used a different vet in the local area prior to deploying for a year, but knew I wanted to find a new vet upon my return. My parents were kind enough to watch my 10 yr old yorkie-poo while I was deployed and took her to a vet in Michigan for care. During my absence my dog broke her front left paw, which took months to heal. That vet said the paw had healed, but had healed funny and that my dog would always walk differently. As soon as I returned back to Panama City my dog stopped using her front left paw so I scheduled an appointment with Critter Care, which had been recommended by 2 of my coworkers. I don’t know how to describe it, but I had instant confidence in Dr. Hubbard based on her overall demeanor and how she handled the visit. X-rays revealed my dog’s foot was broken so we attempted to splint it for 3 weeks to see if there was any improvement, which there was not as the tissue had degenerated to a point that there was nothing for the bones to attach to. Dr. Hubbard offered various options, but based on the injury it seemed amputation was the best decision. She was honest yet compassionate, which I appreciated. Just as Dr. Hubbard said, my dog quickly adapted to her missing limb and my friends have been astounded by her recovery. The staff is incredibly friendly and this is the absolute best vet as far as I’m concerned!

Called to get information on their boarding protocol, they mentioned the obvious that the pet needed their shots up to date, well what respecting facility doesnt but that was it and acted as though there was no other information to give me before taking in one of my precious family members, not sure if they dont value pet life as important or they werent interested in selling boarding services. Pets are members of the family, would you drop your child off for a sleepover without some details, then why would I drop off my pet without knowing how many people handle the pets? how often? what size is their crate? do they interact with other dogs? is there a fenced in area for them or do they get walked or exercised? how often can they relieve themselves and how long in between? etc. cant wait to share this info with my fellow dog owners at the puppy park tonight. If getting generic boarding info. was like pulling teeth, can you imagine trying to get a status update on your pet?.

While on vacation, our Golden Retriever had an accident and tore a ligament. We had no idea where to take him and an old friend from the area recommended Critter Care. It was an hour away from where we were staying but I would do it all over again if I had to. We LOVE Dr. Carla Hubbard. If you havent been there, you should give her a try. She is AMAZING. She sat down in the floor with him to build his trust and you can tell she really cares. I wish I could pack her up in my suitcase and take her back with us. All of the staff we came in contact with were extremely friendly. Im very particular and picky when it comes to my babies, so for me to be this impressed with a veterinarian, says a lot.

Having to make the choice to put a beloved pet to sleep is never an easy one. Unfortunately this was a decision our family had to make and it was a very sad experience. Every day I drive by Critter Care and see the sign and am reminded of the traumatic experience. Every day until last week. Our family received a sympathy card from Critter Care that was signed by the staff, none of whom I knew personally. It was such an unexpected surprise. After receiving the card, my drive past Critter Care and the feelings I had have changed. Rather than the sad reminder of a terrible experience, I am reminded of the goodness and thoughtfulness of people. In this case, the people of Critter Care.

This place is god awful and the staff members are the rudest people I have ever discussed with/met. I work in retail pharmacy and they continuously send prescriptions over that are carelessly written/dont follow standard law in regards to controlled substances and or regular antibiotics. Idk about you but it concerns me that these people dont seem to know basic FEDERAL regulation laws regarding medication. Please dont take your pet here. Its not worth the risk nor the hassle.

OMG - It is the Best Vet office in town. Customer service and care is top notch without the extraordinary costs. Took my mothers 10 year old dog for a procedure. Everyone from receptionist to tech and vet were all caring, polite and extremely understanding :) Take your precious on there. You will agree it is great!
