They need to correct errors in billing department. I am forced to give 1 star here even though my experience with a 2nd mammogram and biopcy were very positive and that staff was great.....The billing department was an awful experience....- Careful a billing error is made and they say they are going to resubmit it to insurance b4 sending a new updated bill GET IT IN WRITING first.....Ask them for am itemized bill have it resubmitted to insurance. After numerous phone calls and above requests i thought it was handaled because they stopped calling or mailing anything about. I thought the item was corrected only to find out it was sent to a collection agency who transposed my street address and put the wrong zip code. Of course I didnt receive any corraspondance from them and it is passed to a lawyer Susan Winters office in southfield. I never received any mail correspondence from them but just figured out that the daily harrassing voice mails i was reciving from "a debt collector trying to collect a debt bla bla " but never any information about the debt or who the collecto was or how to contact their office. I check my credit report often, live within my means pay my bills on time and have excellent credit. I returned from a 2 week vacation and discover a judgment from 4th district court re: a bill from Beumont hospital in amount of roughly $530.00 and is now roughly $745. W court fees. I have 7 days left of the 21 to contact the court and file a motion to settle it With the judge or reach out to lawyers office to settle it. Naturally I call the lawyers office leveing several messages with a very rude person who is obviously trained to only say this call is recorded and we are collexting a debt how would you like to pay it. I was so humilated I contacted Beumont billing, supervisor, I told her my situation though she did apologize for "miss fortune" she said there was nothing she could do it is with the law office now. I also reached out to the CEO Mr. FOX nobody returned my phone calls from that office. After spending hours on the phone with that incompetent lawyers office who just has people answering phones that are trained to bully you into paying the jacked up bill instead of correcting the errors and charging the correct fees to begin with. Note to the billing supervisor who was "Sorry for my miss fortune " I was fortunate here as my bill was under a $1000.00d due to a 2nd mammogram visit and biopcy that my good "Beumont" Dr.required (the nursing staff was VERY NICE and COMPASSIONATE in the mammogram area ).. Unfortunately there are sicker patients with larger bills that have been sent to that lawyers office with the same rotten treatment -read the reviews (just Google the lawyers office in southfield u can see them for yourself). It seems that something could be done to better assist these people by your billing staff before sending them to that incompetent lawyers office with the trained bullies to frustrate, humilate these patients threatening to garnish wages until they agree to pay. This experience has made me re evaluate your add campaign- "Do you have a Beumont Dr" ? Before my answer was "YES and the Drs name . Now my answer is "NOT ANYMORE" unfortunately -I really did like my Dr. but until he starts practicing with another hospital I had to find a new one. Good luck and thank you to the nice caring staff in the mammogram office. I hope you think about some new process in your billing department to assist patients when they have questions on their bills instead of ignoring them and pushing them to that lawyers office. Sad thing is it has been 4 weeks still no bill from the lawyers office that said they would break it up into payments and no return phone call from Susan winters after leaving 2 messages over last 10 DAYS..... Sincerely, "No longer Have a Beumont Dr."

I gave birth to my son here..THEY NEED TO BRING BACK THE NURSERY FOR MOTHERS TO RECOVER. before I get into the details of my visit, let me please make note that the nursing staff was absolutely FANTASTIC. They were all extremely helpful and attempted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. However, I can’t honestly say that our visit was completely positive. Although the facilities, staff, and overall care were stellar, we feel that the process is flawed. We were told that back in 2015 the nursery was removed to promote a more “realistic” birthing experience, which we knew about due to the tour. However, we feel that having the nursery readily available for situations such as mine (High Blood Pressure, C-Section, etc) would have promoted a more positive recovery process. I was unable to get out of bed to care for my new baby (first one), help my husband (thank goodness he was there), or learn about breastfeeding due to mobility restrictions (side effects of the medicine). Understanding that the treatment can’t be changed, but allowing the patients to heal or recover without being constantly bombarded every hour on the hour should be considered. We finally got a window to get some rest when our son fell asleep, only to have a solicitor call to sell a breast pump (which I already had one), a lactation specialist walk in and ignore the fact that we were sleeping only to continue her instruction, and various others ignoring the DO NOT DISTURB SIGN on the door. Nursing staff and doctors we get as mandatory, but other members of the staff or consultants/contractors need to understand that means DO NOT ENTER. As I mentioned before, we are grateful for the nursing staff and comfortable facilities, just wish that the recovery process would have been more enjoyable.

was taken here by ambulance for a medication reaction. shortly after arriving i was fine and asked to be released. they refused. so i told them i wished to sign out a.m.a. they brought security and staff to block and corner me in the room. also at this time they lied and said that my mother told them that i was suicidal and attempted an overdose. i told them they were misinformed and that i was leaving. I started to make my way forward out of the room and they threatened to put me in restraints. feeling cornered, angry, and ganged up on i punched the paper towel machine. i was then tackled to the ground by 2-3 huge guards. one if them had his knee pressed so far into my neck i heard a cracking sound and the others were literally standing on my ankles. they continued to stay there long after they had me in restraints to display superiority. then they wanted a urine sample but refused to let even one of my four restraints free, even though they could only be opened by key. so they forced a catheter in me. needless to say after my labs came back i was clean, but they still sent me to a place called common ground. which is the middle place btw the hospital and phyciatric facility. once there at midnight there was no doctor on staff to order my release. so i had to wait till morning to talk to a rational doctor who immediately realized i had no business going phyciatric hospital, and was finally set free. i have heart condition and received no medication during this tim, i was ailing from a back issue before all this and brutally mauled by security, and while at troy beaumont i was given no water, food or meds. In short i was cornered, attacked, exasterbated all current ailments, and once imprisoned by them i was continually mocked or ignored by staff. This place is HELL
