NOTE: THIS IS A PRIVATE FACILITY. My daughter went to Greenleaf in November 2016, after feeling suicidal. The local hospital said they couldnt do a 72 hour hold, and the closest mental health facility that could was closed due to damage from Hurricane Matthew. So we did intake with Greenleaf. It was the worst decision ever. In the course of one weekend, she went from being suicidal to screaming into the phone that she never wanted to speak to us again, that we didnt try to get her help (shed been in therapy for two and a half years at the time), and that she was going to ask to live somewhere else. We had no idea what had happened, until we met her therapist, Ms. O. Ms. O was not only our daughters therapist, but according to her, also a licensed social worker. Unfortunately for our family, she also didnt have to report to anyone, and in fact, the charge nurses all reported to her. She assumed everything our daughter said was true, even when we explained shed been in therapy for years, she chose not to believe us. She also talked to our daughter as if we werent even in the room, like we were too scary for our daughter to deal with. This was the same child who only a few days before had hugged and kissed us and told us she loved us and would miss us. Came to find out, Ms. O had put her on anti-psychotic medication, which she didnt even need. Our daughter finally got the help she needed elsewhere, but because of Ms. Os behavior and mishandling of our daughters case, our family will never seek their help again. They almost broke up our family with their garbage.

**** UPDATE*** JUST TO LET U KNOW, MY FAMILY MEMBER NOW HAS BRAIN DAMAGE!!, YOU R A DISGRACE TO TREATMENT CENTERS!!!! PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR LOVE ONE HERE!!!! I took a family member into this so called treatment center! If you want your love one to live and come out normal....PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DONT TAKE THEM THERE. My family member is still in a hospital due to what they done to them. Almost one week later she cant talk normal,she cant remember 5 mins ago. She is on a child like mine. Who do I blame... the nurses, the doctor. If you are burned out and cant do your job... move on to something that you cant hurt or kill!!!! I am a firm believer in treatment centers BUT Greenleaf I DO NOT!!!! Greenleaf you are a disgrace to treatment centers. My heart is crying out to you to please listen to your patients!!! You have messed up a beautiful person that no longer cares!!! I took that beautiful person there to help with meds and now she is so traumatized you cant see the sparkle in her eyes.

This place is horrible. Food is almost inedible. What you see in the outer area is nothing like the shabiness of the living facilities. The Dr. Is a joke. His words , i will keep you here as long as your insurance will pay. Has nothing to do if u need it. Evaluation consist of count backwards from 100 by 7s, what does a table and chair have in common? They are both furniture. Do you know there are no retarded people in Argentina? Its be ause they kill them when they are born so they dont have retarded people. And you can barely understand him his english was very bad. Didnt receive regular meds. It is obvious they are only interested in the money, no real care for the patient. They are affiliated with the hospital so they are in cahoots to rip the insurance companies off. Then they sign u up for out patient counseling 5 days a week without a reason or prognosis. I will be making a formal complaint to the state of Ga.

Overheard staff talking about patients to another staff member (casually referring to us patients as "they" and laughing about patients as I was walking out of a group meeting). I addressed the staff and she dismissed the fact I overheard her her demeaning behavior. This was a LONG time ago before Google reviews....damn. I was there 1999 April, May.
