I took my hedgehog here whenever she needed a vet visit. When she became very sick the doctors and staff at Cedar Creek were extremely helpful, flexible, and caring. Over the course of a week she rapidly deteriorated from seemingly healthy to near death. During this time, the clinic staff made space for her in their appointment books for three days in one week. They cleared every single test/service they ran with me beforehand and told me the prices and why they were recommended. My decisions were always respected and I never felt pushed into anything. Dr. Beasley even came in during a time the clinic was not usually open to see her when signs of her illness began. I also saw Dr. Robinson, who was extremely attentive to my hedgies condition and very gentle. She broke the news to me that my hedgie probably had cancer in a very caring way, and kept in touch with me daily regarding her condition. When it became clear how sick my hedgie was, I had to make the choice to put her down. Dr. Robinson completed the procedure and was very respectful the entire time of my pets life and my grief. This happened a week ago, and was all totally unexpected as my hedgie was less than a year old, so it has been a deeply upsetting experience. Today I received a sympathy card signed by the entire staff of the clinic that also contained a beautiful poem. I did not know anyone on the staff personally and had only been there a few times so they really didnt know me well either. I have never been to a vet clinic before that has done that, nor heard of one, especially for clients they dont know well. The staff at Cedar Creek really should be commended for the care that they provided to my hedgehog, and the genuine concern they seem to have for every animal they treat. They even asked if I would allow my hedgehogs body to be autopsied so they could learn from her to be able to better treat hedgehogs in the future with cancer/tumors. They really really do seem to care about giving every animal the best care possible. If you have a hedgehog and are looking for a clinic, dont hesitate to bring them here for a second. They will be in excellent hands.

I took my Lionhead rabbit here today for his wellness exam/meet n greet with Dr. Wayne Beasley. I had done research to find a vet who specializes in rabbit care, and he was the top recommendation for the greater Lansing area. When I called initially to ask some questions, Dr. Beasley was available to speak with me personally. Today I was quite nervous as my bunny is my baby, but Dr. Beasley was so calm and friendly, it calmed me and my bun down immediately. He took the time to answer all of my questions, show me how to clip his nails myself and even shaved off a chunk of matted hair under my buns front paws. He was very knowledgeable and genuinely liked my rabbit and left me knowing that I had picked the right vet. I scheduled to have my rabbit neutered next month and will continue to use Dr. Beasely for all my vet needs. Their prices were reasonable, although for a kind doctor who provides my pet with good care, I would pay any amount. I am disappointed to read the reviews before mine, as I had such a pleasant experience, and so did every other pet owner who suggested I use this clinic. Apparently I never published my review years ago, but as of today Dr. Wayne Beasley and Dr. Derek Nolan are my rabbits primary care. They have seen three different rabbits of mine, fixed all three and treated them for emergency care as well. The dr.s have taught me how to administer home care, and keep me stocked up on medications so I dont always have to come out to see them. They indulge all of my questions and are very patient with me as I can be a bit of an overly concerned bunny mom. I have gotten to know the entire staff personally, and they are lovely, caring people. I will use this vet for life!

Today my family and I took our kitten for vaccinations and saw Dr. Tatman-Lily. It was an awful experience for our kitten. Dr. Tatman-Lily seemed very inexperienced and had little control over our kitten. She was unable to administer the two vaccinations without both my husbands (who was scratched severely) and my help and, finally, a towel wrapped around the four-pound kittens head. This was our kittens third series of vaccinations and she has always been calm during previous visits. Our kitten had at least eight injections, sometimes the needle went through the pinched skin and the serum squirted out onto the exam table. I was actually afraid I would receive a vaccination in my finger. Between us, my husband and I have had over twenty cats. We have had a cat who had fibrous sarcoma at a vaccination site (which makes me worry about the number of injections our kitten had at this visit) and a cat who suffered from kidney disease and required constant vet care. Neither of us could believe the incompetence demonstrated by this veterinarian. Our experience with this practice has been otherwise positive and, apart from this doctor, would recommend it to friends and family. Our kitten is experiencing a great amount of discomfort from the rough treatment and multiple needle pokes and "clicks" when we pet her close to where she was given the many shots. If she is not better by tomorrow morning, we will take her to urgent care. This is not what I would expect from an MSU graduate.

As a new cockatiel owner we did not expect an emergency to happen so soon. One night, to our alarm, found that our baby was egg bound and was in severe distress. I had called a previous vet that I had used in Jackson that treated birds and exotic animals and was turned down because I was "not a current client." In this time of need, especially for a pet, I could not believe that this would be an issue. I ended up Googling for an avian vet close to my area of Eaton Rapids and found Cedar Creek in Williamston. I called and Dr. Wayne Beasley answered. I explained what was happening and he was more than willing to help save our pet. He was there and waiting when we arrived and within a few minutes had her diagnosed. He was very kind and explained what was happening, what he would like to do, and what to expect. Within a few minutes he had put her under anesthesia and removed the life-threatening egg. From now on, all our pets will visit Dr. Beasley. If you truly want a vet who "cares," please do yourself a favor and visit this clinic - your pet will thank you. The Jones family

I actually just moved out of the area, but I wanted to write this review because I think veterinarians often get bad ratings for things that are complete nonsense/the customers fault, and I think this clinic deserves better than that. I have two ferrets that I take to Cedar Creek annually. They have seen Dr. Wayne Beasley and Dr. Nolan, and both the vets and their staff have been both courteous and helpful. I often have to make appointments later in the evening because I work full time, and if they are running behind, they are very apologetic. One of my ferrets had a blockage about a year ago, and I called in a panic around 6:15pm. They were able to get him examined and admitted right away, and kept him over night. They were great about staying in contact with me throughout his hospitalization. They were very upfront about the costs and the possible scenarios we were looking at, which I appreciated.
