I cant even give this place one star. I normally never write reviews but for this I have to. PLEASE READ if you are considering this place as your primary vet clinic. My wife and I brought our dog to the emergency vet clinic in Golden Valley MN. Our labrador/shepherd mix was in incredible pain and couldnt move either of his back legs. We had no idea what was going on because he didnt hurt himself at all in the past month. We were afraid he got bit by something or something terrible was happening and that he would be paralyzed or worse. We were told it would be a 40 min wait. We didnt bring Champ in because it was too painful for him to even be held so we waited in the car. After an hour of waiting we ask whats going on, and why our dogs vitals or anything hasnt been checked yet. Finally, almost a 1/2 hour later someone comes out and checks his vitals. They say hes stable, and we should go home and come back in the morning. They didnt give us anything to help him through the night. Our dog was in so much pain that even holding up his rear end to go to the bathroom ended up in yelping and crying. While we were waiting another woman stops by and tells us how outraged she is because her dog isnt being helped after having a seizure. She said she had been there for 2 hours and other people were getting help for stupid things like diarrhea and "my dog feels hot." I understand those were probably vet technicians and not an actual vet, but AT LEAST they were given some type of care/attention. Ridiculous. NEVER go to this place for animal care. Sincerely, Disappointed.

Please try and wait until your vet opens or bring your pet to a different emergency hospital. They know you are desperate when you bring your pet in and will insist on running expensive unnecessary tests that will stress your pet to the DEATH. They also will not listen to anything you have to say, I tried to tell them he just had all of these tests and X-rays done in the last week and what he was being treated for. My dog was fine all day until he ate his soft food to fast, he was choking on his food, he was being treated for Esophagitis which the U of M diagnosed just days before his death. They will insist your pet has multiple serious other things going on and then find absolutely nothing. My dog did eventually throw his food up but it was to late. He did not make it through all of the tests they suckered me in to, he was given some kind of a tranquilizer medication and died a few minutes minutes later. This medication should of never been given to an older dog, I feel I killed him by bringing him here. They told me and my fiancé that his heart and vitals were stable when he arrived, about 5 hours later he was dead. I hope I never have to bring my new dog to an emergency vet, but one thing for sure is that I will never bring her to this one. They act like they are sorry but if you try to find out anything or file a complaint, they are rude and couldnt care less. All I can do is warn everyone I know what my experience was here.

My dog injury herself and we went in for an x-ray but I end up waiting several hours before I left that awful place. The doctor never introduce herself so I dont even know if I was talking to the actual person that was taking care of her in the back or just an assistance. They didnt even tell me the results from the xray. I never got the result until they were discharging my dog. I waited four hours before they told me anything! It took them another hour to dispense medication and complete paperwork for her discharge. What kind of place take an hour just to dispense medication and do paperwork?!?!? They got the process all backward, they probably should go back to school and re-learn how to run this place! It would have been nice if they check in with the clients with updates every so often, especially for those who had to wait hours and hours. I had to go to the front desk so often just to get an freaking update! I even caught them sitting behind the desk, watching youtube. I felt they were almost racist, almost everyone else they saw was in and out before me. I got in a 8pm and did not leave until 1 in the morning. If you can wait to see your vet, it is best to wait as they charge a ridiculous fee. I could have gone to my regular vet and pay only one-third of the price. This place deserve a zero, not even a one star.

They are awesome! Ive been at this location and the Coon Rapids locations years ago and thought they were fantastic. So when I had to take a dog that Im sitting in for a large gash on her face at 1am I knew exactly where to go to give her the best care! (Especially being that it wasnt my dog!) They staff was incredible!!! Especially since it wasnt my dog they gave me time to contact the owner about the procedure that was going to take place and gave me an estimate before they did anything. The next day I received a follow-up call making sure she was okay. They faxed the information of what happened to the regular vet the next day so they had records of what happened. Amazing service, very knowledgable, and my total bill was less than the estimate so you know they arent trying to get you for all you got. They have a tv and lots of reading material in the waiting room so you can keep your mind off of whats going on in the back when they are treating them. I think the only thing missing was a fridge full of energy drinks and maybe a shot of liquor to take the stress away (Jk). They have great staff and great vets, and Im SO SO SO SO thankful that places like this exist for those odd hours emergencies. Great job and thank you so much!

The staff was wonderful aside from the actual vet, Dr. Pasmanter. We had to take our kitty in after getting back from vacation late last night. Our house sitter didnt realize how bad a bite wound was near her tail, so I immediately took her in. They took her back right away and gave her some pain meds which was wonderful. Then Dr. Pasmanter came in with an unbelievably irritated, rude and judgmental attitude. I had explained earlier that I literally had just gotten home from vacation and our house sitter said the wound was healing up great until the day we got home. But she treated me as if I was a terrible person for letting it get to the point it did. She slammed the door after leaving me some time to think about our options. Then my husband came down to the clinic to help me make a decision and her attitude was still intolerable. Im a medical provider in family practice and a good judge of bedside manner. This was unacceptable. We had to make the decision whether to put her down and our experience with this vet made it so much worse. Again I recommend the staff and the ease of getting in, but if Dr. Pasmanter is working, go somewhere else!!!
