I would never recommend this place to anyone who cares for their pet. Brought my puppy here with a suspected case of worms. Easy to treat and diagnose, staff was incredibly rude including Karen at the front desk. They asked us to drop off our puppy and a stool sample to test for what kind of worm it was. After 4 hours our puppy was still kenneled there and we were waiting to hear from the vet. When we called to ask for an update Karen picked up the phone and stated that the vet was in surgery and didnt have one. We had asked if the vet had at least seen our puppy and she stated she couldnt answer that. She then asked if we wanted to have the stool sample tested. When we had brought her in four hours prior we had said that since we had children and another dog at home we wanted to know. She was extremely rude and said oh well we havent run the sample yet is that what you want. We said yes and she said the vet would call for pricing and hung up. I then went to the clinic and asked her directly about my dog and she was very rude and kept saying I cant answer your questions and do you just want to take your dog home? I stayed and waited to hear from the vet. While waiting I witnessed her being rude to several other clients. When the vet came out she was nice but honestly I dont believe she even evaluated my dog. She asked about what we had seen in the stool and at first she wanted to give the dog more deworming based on what we were staying then as we explained more she thought perhaps she needed a shot for tape worm. We went through with the shot and are watching her but we will no longer be attending Bansfield. We even called our normal location Bansfield ( we attended a different location closer to our home) and they told us they didnt think she had tape worm but round worm UGH these people do NOT care about your animal, cannot answer simple questions and are completely rude! If you love your pets please go else were! We are happy to say we have set up an appointment with another vet clinic that has great ratings and are excited to give our puppy the care she deserves as she is one of the family!

We have been with Banfield Hospital (with Banfield Health Plan Insurance) for about 10 years. We usually take our dog to Banfield, Maple Grove,MN location. But they were to busy and suggest us to try other location. So, we took my dog to Banfield, Plymouth, MN on 4/18/14 for an appointment at 4:45 p.m. We arrived on time. We were waiting at the registerator to check-in for about 10 minute. That was not a problem, we understood they were busy. Then we were in the exam room waiting for the technician for another 20-25 minutes. Then another waiting for the Vet due to some sort of emergency with other dog, that was also ok. What we felt really uncomfortable was this "Dr. S Godding" came in trying to puch us so hard on all kind of exams for over $500, even we told her our dog had the UI before, all we needed were probablly some sort of Urinalysist test and antibolics. Of course, we disagreed some unnecessary tests. Then she told us to leave our dog there and go back to pick her up at 6:45 pm. We arrived on time, then she told us she could not get the sample she wanted it, all the test were not able to complet. There were no treatment or medications, she charged this "Hospitalizaiton Package - Level I for $57.04. She also told us to bring our dog back today (4/19/14) and she would charge us again for another $57.04 for Hospitalization Packages- Level I. Are you kidding me? Repeatlly charges? Our dog was physically only staying in the hospital one hr, there was no so called " Doctors Supervision or Hospital Team Care" enough for you to charge. We love our dog, but it did not give you any right to rip us off!! I would seriously consider to renew our pet insurance with Banfield on 4/28/14.

The pet plan is a nightmare. The receptionist told me one price when I checked my dog in at 7am and when i went to pick up my dog, 10 hours later, I waited 20 minutes to see the Vet. She told me my dog had an ear infection and it would be 30 minutes and i could go. I didnt have the time... ... This waiting to wait some more has happened 2 times when my pet has been there all day. I go to pay "out of pocket" for my services and was told $72 + tax (during check-in). When i get there the Vet said no its going to be $440 because the stay was not covered along with blah blah. "you should remain on the pet plan". With a person waiting behind me I figured I would be polite and not cause a scene and make this other Pet Owner wait and take it up with Customer Service. Just got off the phone with customer service who essentially told me I was "Out of Luck". Not cool Banfield. I feel I was tricked (Bait and switch tactic) into renewing my contract. Funny thing is I was warned by one of my Customers (Vet in St. Paul) who i have worked with for 4 years. He said "be careful of the pet plan, it sounds good but lots of people end up getting promised one thing and they end up getting another." I honestly thought "How could a large company affiliated with PetSmart do such a thing. 1 year later I have learned my lesson. Go to a local vet or at least not Banfield your pet wont have to endure 10+ hours in a box all day and the owner will have some extra cash for.... Youve been Warned. Check out more HORRIBLE stories about Banfield on Yelp, Yahoo Bing, Ripoff Repot, consumer Affairs and ask you friends on FB what their experience has been. Bad business needs to go.

Every time Ive been to this "pet hosital" there has been a problem. Either with the bill or with customer service. I had cancelled the so called pet insurance a while ago because of hidden fees. I know I am not the only one with these issues. Every time Im there there is another person there frusterated withh their bill. These guys have no one working there with customer service either so it makes it even worse. Today was the cake for me. It was the worst Ive ever been tricked in my life. We wanted to switch due to the hidden charges eveytime we go there and needed a copy of the rabies vacs for our dogs to make a change. I called ahead and was told to come pick them up (the rabies vacs forms) when I got there I was told they cant give them to me because they were out of date. I was so mad. I then asked about the cost for new vacs. 16.99 each I was told. Ok fair enough right? After all said and done I was handed a bill for 149! I was furious! They said it was for the offic visit! Why not tell me iupfront? And to top it off there was a woman crying n.ext to me because they charged her 200 more than quoted... And she had their bs pet insurance. Customers beware!
