I should have never tried this place! I have been three times for annual cleaning and am so upset with how I have been treated. They are very nice at first, but turn condescending when you opt out of recommendations. I felt this was very unprofessional to pressure people about treatments. When I told them no I didnt want to book an appointment for the work they told me I needed done (only because I was not sure I believed them that I needed to have so much done-again first time, just saw my dentist 6 months prior with no news of all this work that I was in supposed need of) they had me go into a room and two different people came through to convince me. Very uncomfortable which I told them. For some reason I came back, and they were very cold and short with me (Im sure they saw on my notes). It was as if the dentist had an attitude of like well you didnt listen to me last time so why try. My insurance pays them for cleanings, and I shouldnt have to feel bad about anything I am still a paying patient there for a service. Then today, was going to go in for another cleaning. I had to cancel, so I called. The woman (business manager) was very pressuring in the way she was trying to get me to not cancel. I dont feel I need to be questioned so much when I am trying to do the right thing and let them know. No customer service, no thanks for letting us know (I said thank you, she replied "sure") I am never going back. And I want to save people who care about being treated well the trouble of going through how fake of a place this is!

Not much I like about this place. Heres what I dont like - A dentist (trying) to use fear tactics to book a treatment The price of said treatment coming down about 50% after ignoring emails, texts, missed calls, and voicemails from this organization. A receptionist attempting to bribe me with a $25 Target gift card to book this treatment RIGHT NOW. Receiving a letter in the mail that they were so kind to waive a $50 fee associated with cancelling an appointment too late, although the first paragraph of the letter acknowledged that I made it known I was having an emergency. Northwoods Dental you will never receive my business again. Period.

Horrible. They told me I needed 9 fillings; I have NEVER had a cavity and get regular dental care. The only reason I didnt do it, is I couldnt afford all this work at once. I got a second opinion. They said I could do one filling; the others were NOT cavities, maybe some decay. I now understand, different dentists can be more conservative or more aggressive. They did not help me prioritize the "worst" areas, which would have been nice. Glad I got a 2nd opinion to save my teeth from drilling and to save money. I will say, the office staff and people were very kind. But the treatment plan was way too aggressive.

Northwoods Dental welcomed me into their warm, friendly office this morning. Im new here. Scared, actually. These wonderful people extended grace, wisdom and care to me the second I walked into their office. All updated equipment, highly knowledgeable staff, and most of all, they listened to me with their eyes. They understood my concerns, and I had the BEST most FABULOUS visit! I am excited to return! I found a home!

From start to finish, everyone at every step was excellent! Dr. Scharf and his staff did a great job! Besides everyone being courteous and professional, they always made sure I was comfortable. I have seen Dr. Scharf many times and I can say that he is a great dentist. He goes out of the way to explain the dental processes and does so in a way that I can understand it. The equipment in his clinic is very cutting edge which gives me comfort about recommending him as a cutting edge dentist. The staff is always cheerful and I love the convenient location. I certainly recommend him to any and all!

Make sure you get the full exact cost of treatment in writing. Dr Scharf and his staff will lull you in with a low-cost offer and when they have gained your confidence they will "set you up." They have very precise legaleeze language on their side and they will use it when the bill for services is presented. It will be a very, very big bill. Dr Sticker Shock Scharf? You have been warned.

Be aware of the cost. Make sure to discuss about the cost before you meet the doctor. My wife went for a clarification after initial checkup doctor advised her without telling her that the clarification would be billed and how much it will be billed. The dentist I visited so far will let me know the price before they do anything regardless of whether it is 1st visit or 10th visit.

Simply put a great dentist at a great price! I was the test bunny and all went well so now the whole family has gone to Dr. Scharf. Its great to know I have a trustworthy dentist it takes the stress away when he talks to me and gives advice. I know he really has my best interest in mind. I recommend you give them at least one chance and you will see what I am saying.

The environment at NWD is so warm and inviting! The staff were very kind and helpful; they made me feel welcome and important. I was greatly taken care of from the cleaning to my filling :) Everything was pain-free and done without discomfort. I fully trust the doctors and would recommend Northwoods Dental to ANYBODY!!

The professional team at Northwoods Dental were courteous, polite and professional in all respects. From the time they took my phone call, until the final cleaning...........they were absolutely the best! I would recommend them highly to anyone who understands the complexity of cosmetic dentistry.

I went there for routine cleaning and they mentioned my insurance would cover 80% of the cost and I proceeded further. Later I got the bill where my insurance covered only 50%.When I called them later for false information they never really cared and got some rude answers. I am not going there again.

Everyone is so helpful from the staff at the front desk, the hygenists, Dr. Andrews, and of course Bree the excellent financial consultant who really breaks everything down and knows her stuff. If I ever have a question she is such a big help.
