Overview: As newer resident to the area, I had my first visit here yesterday based on the Google reviews here. I just got a puppy last week and wanted to set up a local vet for her. For new pets, RRAH gives you a packet of information, ranging from health concerns & preventative measures, training options, things to watch out for in the home, to a list of good books and online resources to help with training or other questions created by staff and clients based on experiences, not money. A technician went over all this information and answered any questions or concerns and then we can set up our future visits for boosters and next vaccinations. Cleanliness: You wouldnt imagine a vet office to be clean and decorative but it was! They have plug-in air fresheners in each room, rugs, and (during the holiday season) various holiday decorations to make it feel warm and cozy. There are also treats available to make everyone feel comfortable while here! Cost: My basic vet visit, seeing a doctor but no shots, just checking in and ensuring a persistent itch wasnt severe, was around $60. Like many vet offices, they go over preventative actions you can do to help reduce the number of visits you need to make, and which visits will be cheaper because they wont require a doctor, just a tech. You pay at the time of your visit. They accept credit, debit, checks, & cash. (will update this as future visits give more insight to various costs) Friendliness: Nothing lacking here. Everyone was as friendly as could be and all seemed excited and happy to be helping our puppy. Location: Google Maps doesnt completely get you to the parking lot on their directions - it doesnt tell you to turn into the driveway by turning off of Vinewood (take the first left if coming from the lights). Its attached to several other businesses that all share a parking lot so theres almost always parking available somewhere.

I ALWAYS enjoy coming to RRAH with my dog, Gordi, and Ive been coming to RRAH since 1995 with other pets. The receptionists cheerfully greet us every time, waiting time for appointments is nil, and the vet techs and doctors are all knowledgeable, efficient, and supportive. You can tell that everyone who works at RRAH loves animals and enjoys their job. Even when Ive called with questions, the vet techs have been able to answer them to my complete satisfaction...all with patience and solid knowledge. When a former dog had to be put down, both the receptionist and vet went out of their way to make it less stressful for all concerned (partly by ushering me in a separate entrance into a non-medical looking suite so I could have privacy and a calming environment during this difficult time). This was followed by RRAH sending me flowers and a heartfelt card. Any medical condition has been expertly fixed the FIRST time, and, typically, the staff calls me several days later to see how my pet is doing. Fun touches like sending my dog e-cards for birthdays are appreciated yearly. I highly recommend RRAH to anyone looking for a vet. Each vet is wonderful (and I have probably had them all), so its impossible to pick a favorite!

I have been bringing all my pets to this clinic for 6 plus years. We love Dr. Duff but I can say I will NOW NEVER be back. I came home from work to our floors covered with blood because our dog had injured her foot. I called the vet the receptionist was very rude told me someone would have to call me back but they closed in 45 minutes. I told her I lived far away and would be on my way. Nobody ever called me back on my half and hour drive from home to vet. When I got there the receptionist was extremely rude and told me it had been a long day and everyone was ready to leave. The tech then came out and saId "didnt they tell you not to come". My dog is whimpering and bleeding but she doesnt even acknowledge that. She tells me there isnt a dr. there even though I could see the dr. When we walked in. She then told me to leave or shed call the police. I was shocked. You work in health care and are supposed to help. Not to mention how about some loyalty and customer appreciation. I have come there for years done multiple surgeries on different dogs and a cat. Ive never been treated so badly. SHAME ON YOU! Im a nurse and I get it some days you want to leave but come on. Get out of patient care if you dont care.

Last Friday I had to put down the most amazing dog I have ever met. I had been putting off the inevitable selfishly, but decided it was time. I called and explained the situation. (All of my animals have gone to Rockford Road since we moved here 5+ years ago.) From the moment she heard the situation she was extremely professional and told me she would have our Vet, Dr. Duff get back to me. Dr. Duff was both gracious and compassionate. He said it wasnt the norm to do house calls, but would squeeze us in. You see, my precious Collie Daphne was terrified of car rides her entire life. Dr. Duff and a Tech came out the first time and I wasnt ready to let Daphne go. Dr. Duff was patient and agreed to return the following week. When he and Bri, the Tech arrived, they were both very professional, but at the same time very empathatic to our situation. The process was quick and my beautiful Daphne was gone. Dr. Duff and Bri didnt rush us and were extremely sensitive to our situation. I cant say enough how all of the staff at Rockford Road Animal Hospital made a really horrible situation much easier. I cant say thank you enough. I sincerely appreciate the entire staff.

Today was my first visit with my new dog Maddy to the Rockford Road Animal Hospital. I was greeted by Tucker and Chrissy who were so kind and welcoming to Maddy and I, offering us treats and coffee and walking me through the paperwork. My technician was Bri who was extremely kind to my dog, professional and funny with me, and spent a lot of time wrestling poor Maddy down so we could get some eye drops in her eye. She was so wonderful with Maddy, working with her right on the floor and answering all my questions quickly and professionally. Dr. Morrow is a fantastic and wonderful vet. I can tell her heart is here with the animals as she spoke to Maddy with a soothing and reassuring voice. She handled all our issues and answered my questions quickly and honestly and was overall just so kind to myself and my dog. I have no reservations about this hospital and although I hope Maddy stays perfectly healthy for her whole life, I will not make a second thought to book an appointment at this hospital, and neither should you!

Went in and could hear a male doctor in the back yelling at everyone else. I told the person who runs the place and she said they were probably messing around. Messing around goes both ways; not just one guy yelling at people, calling them "idiots" and other names and them not dishing anything back. On top of that, the lady who was helping me went to the back and immediately and sarcastically said, "We got a lot of winners in here today" after I told her I didnt want six months of a medication at the moment and only wanted one months worth. Their systems are also terrible. They email me and send me letters telling me my dog is past due on his medications or check up every couple of weeks when hes not due for anything. When I emailed them about this, they took me out of their system but continued sending me mail. This place is very unorganized and it is unfortunate that I could not give a better review.
