I have taken my dog to this facility since I first brought her home at 11 weeks old. She has had all of her procedures and shots from this facility, however we will never return. With 1 or 2 exceptions, the staff is consistently rude, condescending, and difficult. My biggest issue came to a head this month when we tried to reorder her heart worm medicine. Our vet wrote her prescription, but when we chose to use an outside source to purchase the medicine (it is much cheaper elsewhere) they refused to fax the prescription to the supplier. So, we drove to the office to pick up the script ourselves, and faxed it in. When the supplier called to confirm the script, they refused confirmation THREE TIMES. This facility is putting my dogs health at risk in the hopes that we will purchase from them directly. Couldnt be more disgusted by the interactions weve had with this facility. Incredibly disappointing.

My family has been bringing our pets to the Riordan Vet Clinic for years now. The quality and reliability of their service has always been top notch. They know what theyre doing, take pride in their work, and dont hesitate to share their knowledge with you as a pet owner. Over the years as my friends and coworkers have added new pets to their family, I have always highly recommended that they take their animals to the Riodan Vet Clinic. Those that have, have always had a fantastic experience. If you want someone who is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely cares about you and your pets, you want the Riordan Vet Clinic.

This vet clinic would rather make a buck than take care of a sick cat. They would rather let a pet suffer and not prescribe the medication it has been on for years to make it more affordable so they can get 100 bucks a visit every month. I could have enough medicine for over a year for $30 online but they refuse to set a prescription so they can get their 100 dollars a month from me. They dont care about animals, they care only about money.

The Ankeny Vet Clinic is hands down the best place to take pets in the area. The facilities are updated and clean, the vets are top notch, and the prices are super fair. The Riordan brothers (Dr. Dennis and Dr. Terry Riordan) are especially friendly and knowledgeable. They explain every diagnosis and procedure to me, and I never feel rushed or unappreciated. I highly recommend this clinic!

These two brothers (vets) have done a great job caring for our pets over the years. If the vet isnt available when you call in for a question (like about the pets behavior), he will get back to you the same day, even if its 7:30 at night. The staff are equally as wonderful. I wouldnt take my pets anywhere else.

Welcomed by a very unfriendly lady at the front desk. Made me feel like I was not welcome. When asked if my pet had been in there before (and mine wasnt) all of a sudden they had no openings on their schedule. all in all I guess they frown on new business.

Were so thankful we found this clinic. Dr Riordan went above and beyond when treating our 5 week old puppy for Parvo. We didnt think he was going to make it. But, thanks to Dr Riordan, hes now a healthy/happy two year old!
