WORST PLACE EVER NEVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE DISRESPECTED AND NEVER ACTULLY RECIEVE REAL HEALTH CARE. IF I COULD GIVE NO STAR I WOULD. GO HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! BEEN IN THEIR PITIFUL WAITING ROOM FOR LITERALLY 5 HOURS NEVER WAS SEEN ACTULLY WAS FORCED TO LEAVE BY CAMPUS POLICE FOR ASKING A NURSE A QUESTION. RIDICULOUS!!! WHO WAS PROBABLY THE MOST AWFUL PERSON I HAVE EVER TALKED TOO. HE GAVE ME ATTITUDE BUT EXPECTED ME TO HOLD MY TONGUE. IM NOW GETTING MY LICENSE AND TAG RAN BECAUSE I COULDNT AFFORD TO PAY THE TICKET BOOTH. THE COURTESY HERE DOES NOT EXIST. THE OFFICER WAS SO FREAKING RUDE IM TRYING TO TELL HIM WHAT HAPPENED HE SIDES WITH THE NURSE MAKING EXCUSES LIKE IH ITS MY FAULT BECAUSE I GAVE HIM ATTITUDE THE HECK! AND THAT THE NURSE IS UNDER ALOT OF PRESSURE. OH BOOWHOO IM IN GUT WRINCHING PAIN THROWNG UP BILE WITH MY ONE YR OLD HERE SITTING HERE WAITING TO BE SEEN SORRY IF IM NOT CONCERNED WITH A NURSES PRESSURE. OH AND IM STILL THROWING UP BILE BY THE WAY... STILL SITTING IN THEIR LITTLE GARAGE! I SAT IN THERE WAITING ROOM FOR HOURS IN PAIN SO MUCH PAIN THAT I WAS CRYING. ID THROWN UP SO MUCH I WAS THROWING UP BILE AND EVENTUALLY BLOOD. I WAS NOT COMFORTED I ACTULLY WAS LAUGHED AT AND OVERLOOKED. IV NEVER BEEN TREATED SO AWFUL BY A STAFF. I WILL BE REPORTING EVERYONE INVOLVED IN TODAYS CHAOS.

We are from Florida. While on vacation for Labor Day Holiday in Mississippi, my son was injured in an ATV accident. We were directed from a hospital in Brookhaven to transfer to UMMC. While at UMMC, we received an exceptional level of professionalism and care. Our bad experience, was turned around immediately upon arrival. Thank you to all the ER doctors and nurses that cared for my son. I am deeply grateful for your medical expertise and quick handling of his care. Due to your urgency, his long term prognosis is much improved. The health care system in the State of Florida is awful. We were fortunate to be in Mississippi at the time of injury rather than Florida. Im confident the outcome would have been much different. Thank you to the ER Staff of UMMC!

The ER and nurses were awesome. They get 5 stars. Once admitted, I was listened to and made to feel like family. Then today I was discharged. After less than 48 hours, I was treated like family that overstayed their welcome. The issue I was admitted for was not resolved: I was still in a great deal of pain and unable to tolerate a liquid diet. I felt like I was being kicked out of my sick bed and rushed home with medications to treat the symptoms and not the actual issue. I was told I was welcome to return to the emergency room if I still felt bad. I left sobbing and feeling like less than a human. I am thankful for the nurses and one of the Drs who initially thought it unwise for me to return home in this state. I will be filing a complaint.

After more interns that could be counted (who knows which one was the actual Dr.), and every one giving different answers, the are sending my Dad home after an overnight observation. He was transferred there by ambulance for an abdominal aneurysm. Their reasoning is out of a possible 4, he is considered a 2. Unbelievable that internal bleeding is no concern to them, and they are basically sending him home and risking a serious issue to occur at any time. Staff was cordial, but I wouldnt recommend going here unless you are ok with receiving sub-par health services!

I hate hospitals. All I can say is that my dad is not dead and Dr. Luzardo and Dr. Washington operated on him and hes back in his shop. When they found him in his wrecked truck I thought he was dead. I still dont like hospitals but my dad isnt dead.

My wife was diagnosed with Bickerstaff encephalitis. She had to be transferred from another hospital. Which had no idea what was wrong. Thanks to UMC my wife is now in physical therapy and is set to make a 100 % recovery. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I havent been there since I was 15 years old. I had surgery on my back for scoliosis of the spine. They treated me like I was some body. Kind of like family. The best hospital I have ever been to. I would recommend that hospital to anyone.

3 years ago we spent 3 weeks in NICCU with my husband. Forest general give me little hope. These DR, NURES, SURGENS, and anyone else that worked are the best. Today my husband, is alive and doing great. 100 % the best.

The day crew during my stay here was awesome. The beeper on my drip at night never stopped. I could alert the nurses, and I was just ignored. Never want to have this experience again.

The absolute worst ER Ive ever been to in my life. It took over 12 hours to get blood drawn and an ultrasound read. It was packed and gross.
