My dog had been sick for months. I had taken him to three different vets to find what the problem was. I took him to VCA where we saw a vet that is not even an actual vet there, she was a fill in and they ran tests on him and charged me $350 to tell me it was due to stress. They sent me home with stomach meds and told me to feed him chicken and rice. My dogs problems got worse. I called VCA and told them and they recommended I go to a specialist, which would cost about $300 just to walk in the door. So I drove to our old vet in Tulsa, OK(which is a VCA animal hospital as well and I love them and know their workers by name) where they told me they think hes allergic to chicken. After two days of giving him a new non chicken diet, all of his symptoms were gone! Now I have a happy puppy no thanks to these idiots running this office in Bal-Coeur! A month later, I contact their office again to order my dogs heart worm medicine for the home delivery program that they offer. The lady in the office had no idea what I was talking about! I had to tell her what the company she works for offered! Ridiculous! She still didnt understand! I had to have my vet in Tulsa contact the VCA in Bal-Coeur and tell her what the home delivery program was! They contacted me and told me they needed to see my other dog before they could send me the heart worm meds but told me I would get her first appointment free since they had never seen her before. So I made an appointment. The morning of the appointment it was bad weather and some of the roads had flooded so I called the office and tried to cancel the appointment that day but no one answered. I called back a few days later to reschedule the appointment to which they informed me that I would no longer be able to have her first appointment free of charge because I didnt call and cancel the first appointment. These people dont know what theyre doing! All they care about is how much money youre giving them! My sweet babies will never set foot back in that facility! If youre looking for a good vet that will care for your pet and not cheat you out of your money, I highly recommend looking elsewhere because this is not the place!

Our pets have been going to this Hospital for less than a year and we are very pleased with the attention and care that Dr. Hart gives them and us. The staff are personable and genuine. We appreciate their informative views and excellent communication. For instance, our youngest pet was very ill when we adopted her and Dr. Hart was not always available to see her when we had an emergency but we saw another female DVM and we were surprised to find that she was completely informed of our puppys illness and assured us that she made sure that Dr. Hart knew what was going on. However, with great service comes a price. The cost for a visit is a little over $50 so if you can afford it I definitely recommend them.

Dr. Hart and all of the staff at Bal-Coeur AH are wonderful! Dr. Hart has performed numerous surgeries on my dogs, all have been somewhat complicated, and all have had successful outcomes. He is brilliant! Part of his intelligence is knowing when to consult specialists in the area of concern. Some of our dogs are not so friendly. Dr. Hart and the vet techs handle our dogs safely and understand how to conduct a thorough and safe examination on dogs of this temperament. The staff at Bal-Coeur take the time to explain everything to us and never leave any stone unturned. Switching my pets veterinarian to Dr. Hart was a decision that my husband and I feel great about!

My wife and I moved to St. Louis 2 with our two dogs and looked first for a VCA facility based on our positive experience with a VCA vet hospital and boarding facility in Texas. We have only good things to say about the Veterinarians and staff at VCA Bal-Coeur. I had trouble finding employment in St. Louis when we first moved and the Vets were uniformly understanding and worked with us to keep our bills in line with our limited income. Then our elderly boxer fell ill and the Vets and staff were kind and comforting; both as we tried to find the cause of the illness and later as we had to accept the need for euthanasia.

We visited this office under awful circumstances and received bad news about our longtime family pet. We made the decision to euthanize our pet due to her deteriorating health and it was extremely difficult as expected. The entire staff was extremely accommodating, empathetic and professional. I would recommend this team of animal lovers to any one looking for care for their pet. Thank you for helping us at a very difficult time for our family. From the moment you walk in til the moment you leave, excellent service! Dr. Davis made us feel like we were in the best hands possible when it comes to pet care. After re-homing a bulldog and taking him to the vet for the first time, she walked us through his allergies and other steps to keep him healthy. The other staff who assisted us were incredibly friendly and helpful, even pulling out some grain-free treats for our pup! Couldnt have asked for better Veterinary care!

Hes been doing this long enough that he knows what hes doing and Im confident in the care he gives. Rest of the team is fabulous too. Front desk was helpful & friendly.
