This location of Quest receives a 1/5 due to due an experience that could have proven fatal for my child. My daughter, who was 13 months old at the time, potentially had c. diff according to her primary care physician. I was instructed by the physician to bring our daughters most recent stool to Quest for testing with the lab order. Upon arriving at Quest I was questioned by the Quest employee attending me if the stool sample was frozen. I explained that it was not, and that my daughters physician said it would be fine, and that the Quest employee could call the physician for any questions. The Quest employee immediately displayed an annoyed attitude, and took me back to her office to gather the sample and my information. After reading the lab order, the Quest employee again stated that the sample needs to be frozen, and did not know if it could even be tested. For the second time, I suggested a call to my daughters physician, which went ignored. After taking my information, the Quest employee began to explain that, "This is a lab, and we have rules." For the third time, I suggested a call to my daughters physician, which again went ignored by the Quest employee. At this point I explained that if there is a concern about the sample during testing, to please call me as soon as possible so that I can provide another sample. I was then told there would be results after 48 hours. After 48 hours and no call from Quest, my wife began calling Quest at various points in the day, only to loop through various automated responses and never being able to speak with a Quest employee. After four days of this, my wife contacted the office of my daughters physician, who then contacted Quest. My wife was informed that Quest did not run the test for c. diff because the sample was not frozen. Quest made no effort to contact me or my daughters physician about obtaining another sample of my daughters stool, even after I had requested they do so; not to mention that c. diff, if untreated, can be fatal. If not for my wife contacting my daughters physician, to then contact Quest, we would never have known that the test was never ran. Due to the negligent actions of Quest, the possible infection in my daughters intestines had the potential to worsen, causing her to go untreated and end up with anything from a weakened immune system to death. Quest should treat every test as if someones life depends on it. Based on my experience, Quest is currently putting lives at risk due to the attitude and irresponsibility of its employees.

All we needed to do was drop off a sample that needs to main frozen and they made us wait 37 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable when it comes to processing labs. Minutes can be life and death and they could care less. Patients needs should come first

Attitudes of the staff are terrible. If you hate your job that much to where you have to treat the people the way you do, then find another job.
