My records were sent to this office by my previous Dr. They came highly recommended by by previous gyno Dr. Who closed her practice. My first visit, was pleasant, although; I was scheduled with a NP. She was unable to write scripts for the medications my previous Dr. Wrote for. Completely understandable, however; I told front desk what I needed when I called to schedule. I was asssured the prescription would be filled. As I explained when making the appointment; the NP is not capable of writing for a controlled substance. Not to mention, no one had reviewed my records...So I walked away with no medications, and no acknowledgement of previous issues. It is now a year later, I made another appt. .....and got another appt with a NP. I called back to request a physician, given the issues of my last visit. They changed my scheduled appointment for the following day with a Dr. I went for my visit, upon arrival; the front desk was very pleasant. I got in the room, and the Dr. Asked if I had any issues. I explained what issues I had......the Dr. claimed she was a labor and delivery Dr., and didnt have knowledge with hormone therapy. I also asked her to fill previous scripts that I had been given by my previous gyno Dr. She claimed she didnt write for the scripts. Absolutely ridiculous!! When I asked her about this issue, she claimed I needed to go to my PCP. Why would I go to my PCP?? My gyno is the person who was working with my issues, and referred my records to this office. Not to mention, I called the office to ensure I would get a gyno Dr., to write my script....The Dr. Claimed she was going to talk to her colleagues about my case and return to my room. She did so, and informed me she would call in my medication I needed for a year supply. That hasnt happened; it is now 9pm my appt was at 10am......I am not surprised, and wont be back. The front and back office were extremely pleasant. Appears that they need to educate their staff on which Dr.s are capable of handling certain situations. I dont appreciate wasting my time or anyone elses. I am quite familiar with the medical field......It appears no one took the time to acknowledge my previous records. Which had been referred and sent to the office and were highly recommend by my previous gyno Dr....... EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!!!! I felt like a number......not a patient. It is Very unfortunate for myself and more importantly the front and back staff who go above and beyond to provide superior customer service for the patients; only to be disappointed by a certain phsician in the back office. I will not be returning to this office.

I love this hospital and could rave about the birthing experience I had all day! The doctors are confident and reassuring as well as their nurses. If I have a question, they call back instantly, and the ladies on the phone are so sweet and considerate! Theyve delivered one child and am going through the process again with these doctors. Tegeler, Ohlhausen, Billharz, and Eggers are amazingly talented with their professionalism and bed side manners. (Reardon was great too, but sadly doesnt deliver anymore!) I love how they treat you and talk to you like a person (I dont know about you, but Im not a doctor and would like to be talked to in ways I understand). Ohlhausen delivered my first and while I was tired, exhausted and feeling defeated, I will never forget this, he lifted my spirits as he said, "Do you want to get this baby out?" And I said, "yes," and he smiled and said, "Lets do it!" Not sure why, but we worked together and she popped right out! Felt good knowing he was prepared ONLY if I was, and his words and facial expressions totally changed my attitude from tired, exhausted, and defeated to confident, ready, and in control! Billharz was supposed to induce, but baby had other plans, and Billharz even visited after I had the baby! Just thoughtful and confident in their practice and thats what I need!

I will never go back to Northland Ob/Gyn EVER. Its a scam. I got lab results back in the form of a letter, with words including, abnormal, cancer, "set up an appointment asap", youd think something this serious would include a phone call? Set up an appointment with a specialst, turns out to be NOTHING but I still get billed hundreds of dollars. I get my next lab results back in the form of a letter telling me what is wrong with words I dont understand and that ill be fine with a yearly checkup. Last night my friend, who also goes to Northland, says that her lab results come back abnormal and they set her up with specialist. She goes in this morning turns out the baby is completely healthy. Its a huge scam and I wont recommend anyone to go there.

Unfortunately Ive never had a very good experience here, and I have been there 4 times. IMO Heartland Womens Healthcare by North Kansas City Hospital is substantially better.
