My mom made an appointment with a dermatologist at Sierra Skin Institute six months ago or longer. After waiting all this time to see the doctor about some concerning spots on her skin, she received a phone call today (less than a week from her appointment). The person working in the office called to ask her what her insurance is, and then told her they dont accept Medicare from new patients. I am so angry they did this to her, instead of giving her that information up front when she first made the appointment. Now she has to wait months to see another dermatologist! I just hope her health is not in danger due to the negligence of the office staff at Sierra Skin Institute.

Waited almost 8 months for my 6 month check after having cancer removed from my face. 2 weeks before my 6 month check I received a call that this office no longer accepts my insurance. I understand business having to change policies, but now in August it is almost impossible to get an appointment this calendar year, leaving me a year out for the "very important" 6 month check that was required by this office. I was a patient here for more than 10 years, and very pleased with Dr O., and feel a little less than important. Good job by you.

I have been 2 consecutive years now. The first year was to establish a baseline and check for any issues. They offered to make my appointment for the following year and called to remind me when the time came around. Visiting this office was one of my better decisions. The office staff is super nice and efficient and now I have the peace of mind that I am taking the best care of myself.
