After years of chronic sinus problem and breathing problem,i finally decided to give a good bye to my painful and yet very embarrassing situation of not being able to breath ,i took an appointment with Dr Amy Lazar.i went to the ENT Allergy and associates on the day of my appointment.it was a pretty easy check in with less than 10 minutes of wait time.the nurse took me in and took the notes on my problem and had me wait for the doctor.i finally met the doctor and expressed my concerns.DR Amy Lazar gave me enough time to express my concerns and finally gave m a prescription dosage.which worked very well.for six months i was happy breathing with my nose.and i began experiencing the same issues back and went for another appointment.she had a look at my septum and told it would be better to go for surgery.i decided to go for it.with very minimal effort from my side i finally got the date.all i had to do is to go for blood work.it was that simple.Dr Lazars surgical coordinator took care of everything. the day has come and DR Lazar called the day before my surgery and asked me if i was ready. I told yes and next day morning we went in to the raritan surgery center where the procedure was performed. admission was simple with signing some forms and they took me exactly 1/2 an hour after reaching the location. the nurse came in and asked me to change to a gown and gave me a cover to put my things on. she then took me to the post operative room after putting the IV in my hand they took me to the table and made me lay on it and.they gave me an oxyzen mask and put me to sleep. it took nearly 2 hours i believe for the surgery.after the anesthesia was given i dont have a trace .i woke up after the surgery with enough pain .The nurse gave me pain medication and a medicine for my nausea.i stayed there for 1/2 hour after i woke up with very minimal bleeding.the nurse changed the bandage before going home.Doctor visited me after the surgery and she mentioned it all went well. she explained me that i would be bleeding for 2-3 days.and she told me to expect some pain and discomfort for the next 3-4 days. since she cautioned me about the pain,i ended up taking the pain medication regularly as prescribed .I had to change my bandage almost every 1 hour cause it was very severe for the first 2 days. i called the doctors office and took an appointment for Wednesday to get the nose vacuumed up a little bit cause it was a little uncomfortable.again there was no pain but uncomfortable.she asked me to come the following day for removing the splints.i went on Thursday and got the splints removed so that i could breadth better. after she removed the splints which was a very simple process .again no pain at all when removing the splints. i just had to wait for 2-3 minutes for DR to clean and vacuum the nose.i found that i was breathing through my nose both sides without any problems. All in all DR Lazar was exceptionally a wonderfull Doctor.she diagnosed the problem and got into the roots of it.She is the best.I will prefer DR Lazar for my future needs and i will recommend her to all my friends and or anybody who wish to have a procedure done. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. With the surgery i got my life back. My breathing was much better and the quality of life was much better.I thank Miss Lazar for everything.

I have to agree with the aforementioned review by "Patti". From my meetings with her, Dr. Lazar seems to be a responsive, very likable individual with a great bed-side manner, unlike so many surgeons out there. Unfortunately, her surgical coordinator is either grossly overworked--or she is inadequate in her current role. She also informed me that I would have to call around to the anesthesia and surgical centers in order to find out what my copays would amount to, whereas the surgical coordinator from the other practice Id been dealing with was more than happy to do that for me so that I could make an educated decision. Anyway, Ive left several messages for Dr. Lazars coordinator over the last few weeks in my attempt to settle on a date for surgery, and now that its nearing year end (and the end of my current insurance plan), I really needed to get my surgery booked. For this reason, I scheduled surgery with my original surgeon--basically because his coordinator answers her phone and is prompt in returning phone calls.

Dr Lazar was very friendly and seemed to know what she was talking about. HOWEVER, trying to schedule a surgery appointment seems to be impossible. I have called six times in the last 10 days and left messages for the person in charge of surgical scheduling and have not received a call back. This morning I called and spoke to a receptionist and told her I have left messages to no avail so she took my information and said she would give it to the surgical coordinator. I did not receive a call back today either. It doesnt matter how good a doctor is if their staff is sub par!

We really loved Dr. Lazar. My daughter had her adenoid removed and Dr. Lazar was great with her. She even made time for my daughter when she started having headaches a few days later - they took her right in the office. All the office staff is great and warm. We never had a problem scheduling the surgery like some other reviews that I have read. You have to leave a message, but the woman calls back the same day. Understandable because she is busy scheduling for all the doctors there and she is only one person. Definitely and highly recommend.

Couldnt even get past the appointment desk. The person that answered the phone didnt recognize my insurance and then transferred me to another person who didnt know why I was calling.
