I will be canceling all further appointments with Dr. Syzlit and Kinnelon Dermatology after the way my daughter was treated today and would suggest that anyone even considering going to this practice reconsider and look elsewhere!!!!! My daughter had a 12:30 pm appointment she arrived early at 12:20 she went ahead and filled out the forms as a new patient online to avoid the extra wait in the office, but when she arrived without her insurance card the trouble began! I myself am a patient at the practice along with my other 4 children and my husband, we all have the same insurance and it was clearly written on the forms my daughter provided, however the office still needed the card for the address. This is a reasonable request so I sent a photo copy to my daughter via text message and thought that would be sufficient, well when she did not get the text right away the receptionist became rude and while the Physicians Assistant ( my daughter would be seeing her today not the Doctor, of course we would be billed for the Doctor all the same) peered around the corner impatiently, my daughter simply asked if they could just look up my information or wait a minute for the text to come through. The receptionist told my daughter that the office would be closing down and that they had a 20 min late policy therefore she needed to reschedule!!!!!. In tears my daughter explained that it was only 12:30pm that she had traveled from NYC to come to this appointment on her only day off and that her appointment was for 12:30, the receptionist replied that her appointment was for 12:20pm and that at this point only 10 mins after at 12:20 they had now shut down everything and were going home. The Physicians assistant still looming in the background listening to the whole conversation could have easily seen her while she was waiting for my text to come through with the insurance companys address, after all they had the policy number copay and all the other information, but it was obvious she simply wanted to go home early! my daughter called me so I called the office and was put through to the service and insisted on speaking to the office finally they out me through it was at 12:38pm I was told that the doctor/physicians assistant had already left and there was nothing they could do that this is simply their policy, that if you are 20 mins late they cancel your appointment. This is outrageous, the appointment was made by me, it was for 12:30 pm, even if I made a mistake and it was for 12:20 pm she was there at 12:20 pm, and I was on the phone with the office at 12:38 pm, 18 mins after they say the appointment should have taken place and still they refused to see my daughter! Disgraceful! Whatever was so important I hope it was worth losing 7 patients and hopefully more after they read my review!

I work in the area and found it really convenient that I could get an appointment at 7:30 in the morning. Dr. Szylit didnt just examine me and walk away. She took the time to explain the problem and the treatment for it. The nurse even called me a few days after I had started the medicine to see how I was doing. Usually I cant get through to an office- here they are calling me! highly recommend.

I love the dedication and time the doctors give to me as a patient. The staff is amazingly nice and dedicated to helping you in anyway possible especially when it comes to appointments. The office has early mornings available which made it easy for me to see the doctor before work. If you are looking for a dermatologist that will treat you respectfully, I would recommend you to come here!

I have been going to Dr. Schwartz for years, and find her to be very professional and friendly. I feel very comfortable with her and her office staff. Dr Szylit is also a very good. I would highly recommend them and have, many times!
