My husband brought our Siberian Husky to Hillsborough branch in April of 2016 because we noticed a lump on our dogs face. The doctor squeezed it and tested the fluid to make sure it wasnt cancerous. She assured us it was just a harmless sebaceous cyst. Said it wasnt necessary to remove it but just to keep it clean. We started to put a cone on tge dog to kerp her from scratching it .we gave her the antibiotics and tried several holistic treaments but it wasnt clearing up. We checked internet all things regarding sebaceous cysts agreed it was difficult to treat because they ooze. For 6 months we cleaned it wrapped it ,hoping to see a change but the dog was getting weaker and weaker. She started to have difficulty coming up steps we thought it was because she is 12. Finally today she could no longer walk.we rushed her to Red Bank Hospital in Tinton Falls only to find out .it was cancerous and had spread to her other organs. We had to put her to sleep today. So sad that that Doctor made a mistake and caused us to loose our dog and caused her much suffering. Id think twice before going there with my animals. It was so sad to see my dog suffer slowly misdiagnosed. We trusted the Veterinarian .Never again. We are devastated by the outcome today. We thought they would remove the cyst and send her home to live a happy healthy life but instead our entire family was devastated to have to say goodbye because of the misdiagnosis we received from Red Bank. I dont understand the negligence ..How could she have tested the fluid and say it was negative when it was cancerous..Did she even test it? And just charged us for it ..Thats heartless. We are all so confused how could this have happened. Please be careful get a second opinion on anything they say. Give your pet the chance our dog didnt have.

Run - dont walk from this veterinary hospital! I have used this service due to convenience and proximity to my home but today is our last visit following a series of multiple unnecessary procedures and overcharges. I wont go into details of previous errors (your cat has kidney cancer only to be told by another vet at the same hospital that he doesnt have kidney cancer ...) but will only detail the latest overcharge. I received a card in the mail indicating that one of our cats was due for a booster shot. I called to make an appointment and was informed that our pets doctors availability did not match our availability. I told them that since it was only a booster shot, not an exam, that we could see any doctor. I was very specific about not wanting an exam because it was not due for a few months and my daughter would be the one taking the pet. I like to accompany the pets when they do have their annual exams. Well, we got billed for the booster shot and the pets annual exam. When I asked my daughter about the exam, she said they did weight the cat and checked her out for about 3 minutes, but it didnt seem like the annual exam. She did not receive any information about the pets weight or general health except "she healthy"! I called RBVH to ask them to correct the billing and was informed by a rude receptionist that they would not be making an adjustment. The worst part is that this is the second time this has occurred. The first time I did not register a compliant thinking I was not specific enough when I made the appointment. This time I was very specific and now know that they have a policy to overcharge!

When my dog was sick at 3am on a Sunday night I took her to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. They did a great job treating her. I am so glad this hospital is open 24 hours and does an exceptional job. It was a very easy and pleasant experience working with this hospital. They have a good sense of the right amount of care. Other vets Ive been to want to do too much testing and cost you a ton of money and some dont do enough investigation. My dog saw Dr. Vanderhoof, who was on call that night, he recommended doing blood work and then gave treatment. I felt he recommended the most effective testing and treatment plan for my pup. He gave the option to do more or less testing and treatment based on my wishes. He took a thorough history, and made sure he really understood the situation. He asked a lot of questions and did an exam. He answered all of my questions and gave great instructions for care. The hospital even followed up with me a day later to see how my dog was doing. I wouldnt hesitate to bring my dog here again.

We took our sick cat to Iselin Central Jersey animal hospital. The vet did blood work and could not tell anything from the blood work, unless we left our cat at the hospital and it would cost between 1 & 2 thousand dollars with all the test they wanted to do. The next day we went to Red Bank veterinary hospital and saw Dr. Sanders. She looked at the blood work and explained his kidneys and liver were in failure. She was so informative with the piece of paper of blood work. She did not have to do more blood work and cost us more money. She was sympatric and extremely knowledgeable with our cat. Unfortunately our cat was too sick. She said she can try to work him up, but honestly he has a very slim chance of survival rate. She was correct, unfortunately our cat dead when we got home with him. But she did not suggest all of these test, cause there was nothing for him. She is not at this hospital anymore cause of her choice, I do wish her luck! Happy New Year! Sager family

We rush our dog Cooper to Red Bank on 8/21, because he was vomiting everywhere (we were on vacation). I called ahead to tell them what was happening. We didnt have to wait long, Dr Backel was excellent with Cooper and explain what was going on and what was needed to take place and my options. We had to leave Cooper there for a couple of days, when I called I was given update information and how he was holding up and they called me as well. When I went to pick him up I first met with the nutritionist to discuss Cooper being over weight, she was great and very informative. I have already spoken to her several times since he came home. Dr. Davis released Cooper and asked if I understood his condition and if I had any problems to bring him in. I have received calls from the hospital since he left checking on him

Im honestly a little shocked at the comments for this place. Ive never heard anything nice about this place. I work with animals myself, and my clients have had horror stories from this place. When I first moved here, the employees here were awesome. Now, theyre not nearly as friendly, a co worker lost her dog at this place in a routine procedure which is awful; no one should lose their fur baby. Their prices are expensive, and they will do extra work to charge you extra. If you go here for a major procedure, I would suggest a second opinion before jumping into this place.
