We have several dogs. Dr Tack goes above and beyond what many other vets might do. Weve had several dogs, mostly Basset Hounds. Dr Tack has done two surgeries on one our Bassets that enjoys throwing rocks in the air and catching them. Most of the time he doesnt swollow them. The two he did swollow, were lodged in his lower intestines. Dr Tack removed both - Peapack is still running and picking up rocks. Hopefully he wont swollow another one!!

I just adopted a lab from St. Huberts and he had an infection. I called Black River Veterinary Hospital and Jackie said they could take me in 10 minutes. Dr. Doug Tack was very pleasant and calm with our Cello. He gave us antibiotics for the infection and clipped his nails and weighed him. And he got a milk bone!! All the staff were pleasant as well. We were in and out in no time. The fee was reasonable. Well be back.

My first time here and it was extremely pleasant. Dr McComas was extremely thorough and gentle with my little italian greyhound. She spent her time getting every single detain regarding his issues, which to me showed how much she cares, even though we were first time clients. I could tell you she is an awesome vet!
