I have been going to Stafford for 12 years now and have always loved the care that my animals received from Dr. Van der Brock and Dr. Pride. My frustrations started when they changed the rules on the paw plans yet did not tell you (they were using a well visit up with the teeth cleaning), so I cancelled that. Every year the prices went up for office visits which is understandable, and having three pets I tried to minimize the costs by bringing them all in together. When we were there in December I was told my cat needed to get his rabies and distemper shot in June, but I just had to make a tech apt and pay for the shots, but I would not be charged for an office visit. I called this morning to do just that only to be told that only the vet can give a rabies shot and I had to make an apt to see the doctor. I said that they told me I did not have to make an office visit apt for this, but she just went on that I did and for the first time since I have been there, which shocked me- she got short, sassy, and basically cut me off saying thats our policy thanks good bye. Well I was done at that point and just called up Barnegat and made an appointment. Im sorry Stafford your doctors are great, but the information that we get from you and your techs does not seem to be communicated to your front staff leaving us feeling like we are on the defensive for something.

In September I took a vacation to Seattle. What to do about my cat (and best friend) Bob’s care while I was gone was a huge worry for me. I’ve been entrusting Bob’s health care for 12 years to Dr. Gary Van Den Broek at Stafford Veterinary. I’ve always felt that Dr. Gary really “gets” Bob and we’ve seen him for routine check as as well as Bob’s occasional bumps and bruises. So, I decided to leave Bob at Stafford while I was away. I spoke to vet technician Lynn Loper before leaving him and saw where they would be keeping him-her caring manner immediately put my mind at ease. The care Bob (and I) got while I was away was awesome. They catered to his dietary whims and gave him “playtime” throughout his stay for fun and exercise. But, best of all they welcomed my phone calls to check on him, giving me updates on how he was doing and Lynn even texted me a picture of Bob happily eating his breakfast one morning (I was convinced he’d go on a hunger strike-which never happened!). Knowing that Bob was being so well cared for at Stafford Veterinary allowed me to relax and enjoy my vacation even more. Stafford is the only place that I would trust my beloved Bob’s care to. Thanks to Dr. Gary, Lynn and all of the staff.

We were at our beach house in LBI for Memorial Day Weekend. Saturday morning Dallas, our 14 year old Australian Shepard, woke up and had trouble walking. He looked like he was drunk and kept falling down. As the morning progressed, he was still having problems. We called Stafford Veterinary Hospital. They were fully booked and scheduled to close at 3. We told them our situation and they said they would stay later to see Dallas. We arrived early and they assisted us in getting him into the office on their gurney. Everyone there was very nice and helpful. Marc Schnolis, the veterinarian, saw Dallas and was very thorough and prescribed a pain medicine and an anti-inflammatory pill. He said to call over the weekend if Dallas continued to have problems. Dallas has responded great and is doing well! We are grateful to Stafford Veterinary Hospital for staying open to treat Dallas on a holiday weekend

I need a zero star option here. I had brought my new puppy here to complete the 3 shot series the pup needed. The puppy not even 3 months old and all the vet kept going on about was getting the dog fixed. I told them while I dont intend to breed I dont believe in ripping out parts of my dog (Europe isnt as crazed about getting their animals fixed and their pets have longer life, go figure) The dog is over 2 now and wow hasnt magically had puppies yet. In addition to be harassed about "reminder" appointments i never agreed to or setup they also wanted all this other crap to put the poor dog on. Here is why so many dogs die of cancer all these chemicals and shots that the dogs dont need yet places like these will push on you. EDIT: Before the "owner" replies saying that "spaying helps prevent cancer" right cause all the female wolves and other wild animals are dying cause noone is butchering their organs

I recommend Stafford vet to my friends and family all of the time. I have been a client for 16 years and have only had good things to say. The staff is fantastic, very caring, and love my dogs and cats! Recently my dog came down with a very serious illness. The doctors were great. They gave me all the information I needed to make good health decisions for my dog. Now we are all home and happy again! Thank you

I recently had to put my dog down at an emergency vet, it;s been a month since I have done so. We received a beautiful card from that emergency vet within days yet nothing from his own vet, Stafford Veterinary, not a phone call or anything. One of the hardest things is losing a pet you would think out of decency their vet would acknowledge it. I will look for a new veterinarian when we do get a new pet.

I have been talking my four-legged family member to Stafford for years. The doctors are amazing and the staff is always nice. They see me anytime I think I have an emergency. Today they worked me in at the end of the day because I thought Franco needed to be seen. Dr. Pride was so reassuring and kind. I would never take my pet anywhere else

We were very fortunate to have had the chance to be helped by Dr. Treloar and Dr. Pride for many different visits and procedures. They are both absolutely amazing and compassionate! Over the years, the Stafford Veterinary Hospital has become our go-to for everything. Everyone is always warm and welcoming! Highly, highly recommend!

Unfortunately you cant give a 0 rating. These "vets" who made an oath is save lives think nothing of killing cats that happen to be fiv+. Anyone with any experience knows that all fiv is in an weekend immune system. Instead of saving lives..they continue to kill them. Heartbreaking and tragic....use anyone else.

Our Chalky loves the staff and the care he gets here. We have used them since 1985 and have seen Doctors Hague, Hurley, Van den Broeck and Schnolis. The and the University of Pennsylvanias Ryan Hospital are the only two places we go for Veterinary Care in South Jersey. The staff is excellent and compassionate.
