AWFUL does not even begin to describe my first and most definitely my last experience with Dr. Burns. I am a 42 year old woman, that is pregnant with my second child. I went to Dr. Burns on a recommendation from a friend of a friend. As soon as I met with Dr. Burns he immediately told me that by no means should I be telling anyone that I was pregnant. That the odds are against me because of my age and past complications, that I highly likely to miscarry. He then expressed that I most likely have a tubular pregnancy and if so, would miscarry in a few weeks. Way to go Mr. Positive! As my office visit proceeds, he tries to sell me "his" prenatal vitamins, along with telling me that for my convenience they draw blood in his office, but for a nominal fee of $20. He stated that no other doctor does this, that its more to accomodate me. Ive been to many doctors in my 42 years of life and NONE of them ever charged me a fee to draw my blood. He was harsh, abrupt and more of a salesman than a doctor. Hes a control freak that insisted that I only deal with him and another high risk doctor (that he was recommending). Now dont get me wrong, I am well aware of the fact he needs to inform me of all the potential risks I may encounter, however, his bed side matter leaves something to be desired. Needless to say, my blood work came back crystal clear..........meaning no tubular pregnancy and all my levels are right on track. I took the copy of my blood work and now I am going elsewhere. Dr. Burns is a doctor with no regard for his patients feelings. Hes a doom and gloom salesman that Im surprised anyone would recommend him or continue to see him.

Dr. Burns delivered my first son and will be delivering my second son at the end of July. I really cant say enough positive things about his practice and his staff- he is not the type of doctor to coddle his patients, but he is exactly the type of doctor that you want taking care of you and your children; he is confident in his work, direct, compassionate and he has a great sense of humor! He will only let you worry when there is truly something to worry about. My husband and I strongly disagree with any negative reviews he has received- although I understand he is not the doctor for everyone he is certainly the doctor for us. I trust him completely and, in all honesty, I dont trust anybody! On a side note, the girls at the front desk are efficient and super helpful. The nurse, Michelle, is amazing, she is the only person I know who can take my blood without making me cringe or having to poke around forever. The ultrasound technician that weve dealt with throughout both pregnancies is also incredible at her job (although I forget her name). You may have to wait a few minutes in the waiting room (usually only if you show up late for your own appointment) but they have plenty of great reading material. Highly recommended, dont let other peoples negativity deter you from working with Dr. Burns and his awesome staff!

The only doctor I trust. Some people complain about his bedside manner because he doesnt sugar coat things, but I have never been anything but happy with my experience. Hes to the point, no nonsense, and doesnt leave you in fear of or questioning your health. If you dont have anything to worry about he will tell you that honestly, but if youre not doing your part he will call you out. He is thorough, but breaks things down in terms that are easy to understand. I have a history of cervical cancer in my family, and he always puts my mind at ease in terms of my health. I have had procedures done elsewhere that were excruciating, and didnt feel a thing with Dr. Burns. Hes old school and knows his stuff. The staff is very professional, and I enjoy his sense of humor. The girls that work there are lovely. If you want a doctor that wont BS you, go see Burns.

WARNING! Do not make an appointment with this office. Horrible Experience. Have always had pleasant doctor experiences until I went to this office. Dr. Burns doesnt take the time to explain anything to you, and acts as if you are a moron if you dont take his word as fact. In addition to his smug attitude, I was terribly sick with a sinus infection when I went into his office, and he told me Im not a responsible citizen because I didnt want the flu shot - while forcing me to be a part of some birth control survey - all kickbacks for his pocket! This is all this office cares about. THEN, to top it all off, his office sends me a $50 bill a YEAR later (after Ive had all of my files transferred to a new doctor, and they failed notify me of any outstanding balance), their explanation was because they just got around to cleaning up their billing system!

New patients be forewarned – the office will charge your credit card at least $25.00 to reserve your appointment. The office manager, Billie Joe, will tell you that they only hold your cc info in case you cancel without giving proper notice….but charge your card anyway. Billie Joe is also in dire need of a customer service refresher course as she lies to customers, keeps credit card numbers out on a clipboard for the whole office to see, and will insult you if you question her lies. If the Doctor can allow his front office to be mismanaged, it’s an indicator to me that this is not a reputable practice.

I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. He is one of the best doctors I have ever been to. He is straight forward and takes care of his clients from beginning to end. Im so happy I moved back to this area and can have him as my doctor again. As for the other reviews on here......go take your desperate housewife post pardom hormone embalanced selves somewhere else. Or maybe you were given a bad diagnosis and taking it out on the doctor. Either way... You are only harming yourself but you are doing him a favor by not going back.

All was great until I had to have surgery. I was listed as outpatient for radical complete hysterectomy and told I would need drug rehab on 2nd day bc I was asking for pain meds. My family complained and advocated for me but I was thrown into menapause VERY young and never offered hormone replacement until I asked weeks later. Absolutely devastated that my trusted doctor treated me so horribly. I ended up having issues afterwards and switched doctors soon after.

This so called doctor, brings shame to the medicine field!! He is better suited to be in a circus then a hospital. There are much better choices of doctors....do yourself a favor and dont waste your time.. take the time to find a good doctor!!!
