Terrible experience, from the time I walked in through the entire appointment. The receptionist was rude and short. I found the dermatologist (Dr. Wang) to be unhelpful. She recommended several different treatments, but did not take time to carefully explain the regimen that I should follow and how the different treatments might interact with one another. When I asked questions, she rushed through her responses, not giving me enough time to process what she was saying or ask follow-up questions. She then scribbled illegible instructions on a small sheet of paper as a guide for me -- totally useless when prescribed several things at once. The doctor also performed two minor procedures on me that left me bleeding, but I wasnt offered band-aids. And the impatient doctors aid didnt wait for a "come in" after she knocked, so she walked in on me half-dressed. Ill never go back here.

I REALLY hate to write a semi-negative review, however my experience with Dr. Jennelle Williams wasnt successful. I went to Central Derm because of adult acne. We tried multiple creams, pills, etc. No improvement and medications were expensive. She was very kind, but unsuccessful. In what I thought was an un-related issue, I started going to a Fertility Center and found out I had PCOS. My doctor there immediately looked at my face and said he bet my acne was symptomatic of PCOS. He started me on Metformin and the acne (that had plagued me for multiple years) went away. I felt like Dr. Williams should have looked into hormone imbalance more, especially after years of poor results. Later I saw Dr Maya Jonas. She is helping a great deal and has a good bedside manner.

I think the level of care is fine, but the waiting can be painful. I generally anticipate waiting about a half hour for each appointment. Last time I went I got there five minutes late (there was traffic). The girl at the front desk said that they had tried to contact me (really? my cell is right here and it doesnt show any missed calls) and due to the fact that I was late they werent going to be able to see me. I showed her my phone. At this point it was now six minutes past my appointment. She said I could wait an hour and a half. Ok, listen. I know clinics run behind, especially in the afternoon. I have no problem with that. But blaming the patient for your inability to run a clinic is pathetic. I will not be going back.

This place just went down the hill in 3 years, here are some of the highlights ; Front Desk Staff is always short or busy with something else. Phones are never picked up, if they are then they want you to wait. Their Triage is a joke, you leave message and if you are LUCKY they may return your call next day. Prescription refill calls may be returned by end of the day, so if you have any question from the doctor, you have wait for another day. You may wait in the waiting room or in the check-up room, you will wait. Only thing good left about this place it that Doctors still care for their patient, however getting in touch with them after your appointment is impossible...impossible. Finally Changing to another Practice in Raleigh.

I had a mixed experience and, unfortunately, the negative outweighed the positive. One of the PAs saw me for several visits related to a patch test to help me figure out potential allergies. She was brusque, officious, expressing no empathy for my skin problem, and no patience or interest in answering my questions about the results. Prior to this experience, I received excellent care from one of the doctors. Further, I think I would have had fewer questions (or known that I should not have asked questions about the results) if I had received an information sheet about the patch test experience prior to starting the test. Disappointed that I will have to turn to other providers if I need care in the future.

After several visits I saw no results, went to a different place and they got me taken care of in one visit. Then the fun set in. 18 months later I get a bill (which I know I already paid because I still have the receipt) from Central Dermatology Center. I received this bill (presumably) because they had my name grossly misspelled on the receipt and (presumably) in their system as well at the time of that visit. What a hassle. Not only did I waste a lot of time and money at the time of "treatment", now Im being bothered again and having to go out of my way to contact and resolve this on my time. By the way, they dont have voicemail after hours. Just avoid this place, you have lots of options.

First time ever at a Dermatologist. Was not impressed and will not return to this location. Evidently they were behind schedule, but caught up with my visit. Was suppose to be a "base line" see what concerns you, then see what concerns us visit. Ended up with see what concerns you, check back in half a year and we will see what concerns us.... That will not be with this company. Got their co-pay though, so the money is good on the business side. Understand the wait time concern from the prior review. Guess that is why they wanted me out of there quickly. Was told to expect an hour, was probably out in 10 minutes, not counting the 30 minutes waiting in the lobby. So the hour was true.

Im surprised to see how poorly the office is rated. I have been going to Dr. Jonas for several years and have no complaints. The front desk staff have always been friendly to me, and I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes, not bad considering I usually go in the late afternoon. Dr. Jonas is wonderful--great manner with patients, and I trust that she is looking after my skin well! Her exams are thorough, and they use digital images to keep an eye on any change in moles, etc. The only time I had a problem was a few months ago when they were transitioning to a new electronic records system. I trust those kinks will work out in the coming months. Im a big fan and will continue to visit here.

The medical staff are top-notch and very thorough, as well as friendly and patient. My recent appointment with Dr. Todd and Sam was great, as usual. They took me back before my appointment time, took care of everything efficiently, and were a pleasure to work with. The office staff is friendly and helpful, and not just about checking you in and out of your appointment -- for example, when my high schooler was in a fender bender on her way to a recent appointment, they not only rescheduled her for the same day but also asked if she needed somebody to come stay with her until the police arrived. All-around good practitioners and good people!

I have been a patient at Central Dermatology Center for several years and have always been extremely pleased with both the medical care Ive received, as well as the pleasant interactions Ive had with the front desk and other staff members. I have felt listened to, respected, and understood when I discussed my concerns with Dr. Jenelle Williams, PAs Ann Casperson and Laura Phillips, and most recently, with Dr. Beth Goldstein. In spite of the fact that this is a big and busy practice, I have always felt that the central focus of Central Dermatology is a concern for the individual patient and in providing in each case the best possible care.
