This is a long review.. skip it if you want a short answer. ;) The doctors are fine- average. Also a few of the receptionist who answer the phones have been pleasant, so I wont lump everyone together. But the staff as a whole is awful! The front desk ladies are never able to get us an appointment when needed. Maybe its not their fault- it could just be that the office is overbooked. The nurses that I have dealt with are very rude and very unknowlagable. I myself suffer with serious heath problems. I went in November and needed a referral to a Rheumatologist. The doctor approved it but the staff didnt send the referal until I called them at least a dozen times. It took 4 months for me to even be able to schedule an appointment with my Rheumatologist. Then I needed to see my doctor yesterday and they refused to work me in. Like I said, Im very ill. Im on a Chemo drug so its an absolute need for me I be able to see a doctor when I have new health issues come up. I ended up going to the ER instead where I was helped. Last week my husband had Mono and needed to follow up with a doctor after going to the ER. He couldnt get an appointment but thy promised if he came as a walkin patient he could be worked in. We sat there 5 hours before seeing a doctor. Hopefully my new doctors office will be an improvement!

Before Hendersonville Family Health Center joined with Blue Ridge Health Center, they were a fabulous doctors office, I wouldnt take my family anywhere else. Now....its just a huge crazy mess. My family has gone there for 15 years and I have taken my daughter there since she was born 12 years ago. When my husband went to the doctor two weeks ago, they made him fill out a whole new patient packet of information....when he has been a patient there for 15 years. They they insisted that he doesnt have medicare...which they were extremely rude about, and they ended up being wrong after a phone call to the medicare office. I had to call today to make my daughter an appointment for possible strep throat, they not only didnt have her as a patient in their computer, they cant make her an appointment for another week and a half. The new staff that has been brought in to run the front desk are horribly rude. Nothing like the ladies that used to work the front desk. They promised with their combining the two doctors offices that nothing would change. Absolutely everything has changed....and not for the better.

I was a big fan of Hendersonville Family Health Center. Over the course of fifteen years they have treated each of my four children, my spouse and me. They have some fabulous providers; Bryan Hodge is one of the best physicians Ive ever met. Unfortunately, with UNC taking over management and the merger with Blue Ridge, the quality of care has suffered. I am now faced with finding a new provider and am feeling very sad about that. There was a time I could tell friends and visitors what great healthcare we have in Hendersonville; Im not able to do that anymore.

Myuch beloved partner suffers from seizures. Tje doctor she saw refused to give her the medication she needed to to prevent them. Not only that they forced her to go thru a gorced dextox from meds that were vital to her health. We spent a month trying toget jer meds only to be told no. Do not come here if gou value your health. They do not care about the condition of people seeking help.
