I recently moved closer to this dentistry and I saw that they had good reviews thats why I chose them. The office is nice and the two staff members that worked on me were really nice. The reason am giving them 1 star is because I called a week earlier to make this appointment and asked the receptionist whether they take my insurance, she took my information and and told me that I was all set. To which Im thinking that she meant my insurance was in network. I would think that they should at least tell me if my insurance is out of network but I didnt find out until my cleaning was completed when I was asked to pay 50dollars deductible. I thought this practice will be different since they had good reviews but this goes to show that you cant always trust the reviews because you cant verify who wrote them. This to me was very misleading especially when I called back and the receptionist said that I had to specifically ask them if they are in network, I guess all they care about is money. I cant say the service was great either since they were trying to get me to take the xrays even though I told them that my previous dentist had recently updated them and they can get those records from her. The dentist was barely there for 2 seconds, poked my gums and told me I might have gum infection then walked out without and explanation. The cleaning was ok but not great, I can still see some brown spots on the inside part my teeth from coffee stains. I honestly felt that after my refusal to take the xrays and refusal to schedule the next cleaning in 6months which is another issue I had since they like to charge $50 for no show and you have to call 48hrs before, which if you ask me is inconsiderate because things come up. I normally dont write reviews even good ones, but this one really infuriated me. I even asked the person that checked me out why I was getting charged $50 and she said that they checked my dental insurance plan and it said that they charge $50 for all services....which is a lie. Lies after lies. All they care about is getting money from their poor patients.

My wife was treated very unethically by Dr.Thomas in June. She came into the office with tooth pain and was forced to sign a paper before they would help me for treatment which cost me $700 after insurance. She was presented with no other options of treatment and there was no breakdown shown/given me of what was covered vs. what was not. It was presented to her as "sign this and pay or we wont help you." She was in tremendous pain. She was very clear she didnt know what we would be able to afford (partial or implant) and didnt want to make any decisions while she was in such pain. Nothing further was explained to her. Only, after the fact did I see from my insurance (EOB) he only billed my insurance for $400 tooth extraction which was covered %75 percent. He had done a separate uncovered treatment not covered which cost us $600 Out Of Pocket! She has been in contact with Tameka (who is kind and very helpful) since the indecent trying to get resolution. She was told today Dr. Thomas made the decision he thought was best by not providing her with all options/information and he stands beside it. BEWARE!!! I feel very uncomfortable with what happened and Dr. Thomas unwillingness to correct his error. I hope we can save another patient.

Doctor Thomas and his staff were all professional while being friendly and patient with all of my concerns and anxiety. Like many others my previous experiences with dentists had left me very reluctant to undergo regular check-ups. To be honest only an emergence situation forced me in Doctor Thomass door. Everything about my visit was wonderful! Tameka was very helpful in issues ranging from scheduling to payment options, and I have to say how much appreciated her laugh. Tiffany was supportive, tolerate of my nerves and took the time to make me laugh while still handling her work in a professional manner. Doctor Thomas himself was friendly both supportive, not to mention being big on explaining things without talking down to me. He worked hard to engage me on a personal level. Every single person I spoke to was non-judgmental while worked hard to put me at my easy (trust me when I say that is not easy). If these people are faking it they missed their calling as actors. I truly believe the staff enjoys their jobs and ultimately I think that is infectious. On a practical note, no one enjoys spending money at the dentist but the plans this office offered me was affordable to the point the cost became minimal to my budget!

I have been very pleased with Dr. Thomas and the staff at Rolling Ridge. We received a mailing from the group when they first opened and were interesting in making them our new dental practice. Life got in the way and we didnt go. Then I was in an accident and broke a tooth. I knew immediately who I was going to call. I got an appointment the next day for an exam and a treatment plan was put into motion for the day after that. There was never a delay, never concerns about insurance, no problems at all. The staff is excellent, helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. They are proactive in making sure I understand the payment options I have. Whenever I call during office hours the phone is answered quickly and professionally. Finally, like others, I ignored my dental health for far too long and ended up needing continued treatments for cavities and gum health after my accident work was finished. I never felt pressured or made to feel badly about my dental past...Dr. Thomas and his staff care about my present and future. Rolling Ridge has my business for as long as we live in Raleigh. Thank you all!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Thomas and the staff at Rolling Ridge. We live in the area and switched our whole family to the practice. Dr. Thomas and the staff have been excellent at meeting the needs of my children, and my wife and I have received excellent care. I have a strong aversion to going to the dentist, and I needed a major procedure done this summer involving a root canal and then two crowns on two teeth side by side. The procedure was extremely difficult, but Dr. Thomas made sure I was comfortable throughout and explained the procedure to me at every step. During my procedure, several different members of the staff were involved, and in each case, all of them were kind and patient with my anxiety. I usually do not write reviews, but I have benefited from reading the reviews of others online, so I wanted to write this one to help anyone looking for a new dentist. I am definitely glad my family chose to move to Rolling Ridge, as Dr. Thomas is interested in caring for the people of this area and is interested in being a long-term member of our community.

I have had a long history of dentists judging me based on my many teeth and mouth problems but Dr. Thomas doesnt judge me based on my treatment plan. He meets me where I am at financially and works to see where I can move forward with my treatment plan. I came to the office on 5/18/16 for my second dental cleaning and exam and the doctor and the hygienist were very up forward with me about what needed to be done but didnt push me to get all my work done within a certain amount of time. They made sure I was active in my care. I also had a previous balance from a procedure done in January where insurance didnt cover the costs at 100% and the office is willing to work with me as far as paying a portion of the balance at a time. Everyone on staff, from the doctor to the front desk staff are very professional, friendly, and understanding of my needs. The practice is out of the way physically for me but I make the drive because of the care and treatment i get at Rolling Ridge Dentistry.
