I have been taking my pets to Eastside Dog and Cat Hospital for over 30 years (Hat to say it). The clinic is exceptional, the staff is compassionate and caring, and the doctors always return your calls the same day - or night - or weekends. They truly care about the health and welfare of your companions. When you have an appointment, you are never rushed, and you never feel like you dont have the time to get all the answers to your questions. Each examination is very thorough. I have a golden retriever with multiple health issues, and no one ever gave up or quit until we found the answers we needed. Ive seen Dr. Rutman and Dr. Culek for all of these years, and they have never let us down. I travel from the Akron area (I used to live in Lyndhurst close to the Clinic) and I would not have anyone else treat my dogs.

Ive been going to this place for a great many years with all sorts of pets, mostly cats and dogs. I had a good feeling the first day I walked in and saw Aesops "No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted" on the wall. All the vets there are both kind and smart. They are creative, inquisitive, and dogged in diagnosis. They have diagnosed and treated successfully some strange conditions in my pets and been thorough with the usual stuff. Several years ago I took them a small kitten which had been found outside in cold weather. It was missing a lot of hair and had a neck wound. It was cold and had white gums and was nearly dead. Even they didnt think it would live. Hes a very large, happy, healthy cat now. To me, they are worth every cent of what they charge.

I thought I had found the right clinic for my dogs until I realized that they care more about plenty of charges than about you or your pet. I think Dr. Rutman is the one who keeps the clinic up and together as the other ones completely fail to have any charm at all. Dr. Askew recommended for my perfectly fine 75 lbs Golden to gain more weight!? Unheard of ever in the 15+ years that Im a dog owner and trust me I have fed them all ;-) Im so glad I switched because I found the best Veterinarian ever at the Village Veterinary Clinic on Wilson Mills Road. She is absolutely wonderful with animals as she is with people. I trust her 100% Thank you for kind and caring and reasonable people!

The staff at Eastside Dog & Cat Hospital are top notch!! Very friendly and loving to both the animals and the animals people family :) Dr. Askew is great!! She explained everything to us in detail and made us feel at ease about the outcome of our doggies surgery. I dont find them to anymore expensive than other vets and even if I did they are really well worth. THANK YOU EASTSIDE DOG & CAT HOSPITAL !!

wow they are so exspensive its nuts. Its all about money there! All kinds of xtra fees and tricks. If you have never been to a vet you will be rocked. The next vet you get will seem like a bargin!! Yes shes intensive care the more she can do the more she will make...BEWARE

Dr. Anselmo is a caring, dedicated professional who provides excellent care for my cats and dog. I wouldnt go to another vet in the area - even the drive from South Euclid to Chesterland is well worth it. Wonderful service, clean clinic and friendly staff, as well. Kudos!

Eastside has fantastic docs and staff! When I was caring for a dog that had a chronic illness, I made many, many phone calls to Dr. Rutman to provide updates and obtain advice, and he always called me back the same day no matter how long his day had been.

Dr. Askew is such a caring and understanding vet. We used Eastside Dog and Cat Hospital for my dog and they were always very professional and provided wonderful service. It may have been costly but it was worth it. My pet received high quality care.

They are the most expensive veterinary hospital in the area-Easily double!! BUT, they are wonderful. If you can afford to pay for the personalized service then go for it.
