We have been taking our pets to Animal Care Center in Blue Ash for over 10 years for both health care and boarding, and have always considered them to be the best. At one time, the staff were clearly all lovers of pets, and they knew most by name. You could always be assured that your pet would receive the best of care and treatment. Over the past three years, there has been a marked decline in the level of service, treatment and overall care. You rarely see the same doctor twice, they treat you as though you and your pets are strangers, and EVERY time, without fail, they will push and upsell treatments, needed or not...clearly its now all about the dollars and not the care of the pet. This past weekend, we needed to board our dogs for a couple of days. When we took them in, the staff at the front desk were unfriendly, uncaring and once again, were clueless as to who we were. We had to once again fill out the questionaire about our pets, and when they came to take our dogs back, they were very matter of fact, didnt address the dogs, and acted as though we were intruding. When we picked them up, we were told our bill was $264.00 higher than it should have been. There were charges on the bill for services we knew nothing about. It took 20 minutes and us asking to see the copy of the paperwork we signed when we dropped the boys off. When faced with the "black and white" reality, of course, they amended the bill to only those charges for services we had actually requested. If this were the first time, that would be understandable, but it has happened the last 3 visits. Needless to say, we will NOT be returning. As a side note, if you need critical care, we recommend the CARE Center on Kemper Rd. in Blue Ash. Our dogs have been there twice and they already know them by name. They treat them as though they are a member of your family (as they are), and are always friendly and caring. And if you need a place to board your dogs, none better than Red Dog in Madisonville.

I take my dog to this facility and board him there when I travel for work. The doctors and staff are really, really nice and it is great to know that my dog is in good medical care. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. First, it doesnt offer grooming services. I think they would be more vigilant than Petsmart with the quality of grooming as well as possibly identifying some potential health issues during the process. If they are considering it, please, please, please offer grooming for dogs over 50 pounds. Most importantly, they could improve the quality cleaning of their boarding facilities and the outside play area. They let me walk through and it was like walking through the dog pound, smelly, smelly. It could be poor ventilation and it was summer time. The outside play area had poo all over the concrete but I could have walked through right after they had dogs playing. However, why wouldnt staff clean up the poo after a dog uses the bathroom rather than let the dogs play in it? It would help with reducing the smell when they track it in and possible health risks. Some dogs eat other dogs feces. My dog gets a bath after he boards there for this very reason. I am boarding him again soon but if it is in that condition again, I will find somewhere else.

I have 2 cats. Both have been rescued cats, however the real truth is that I believe they have rescued me. The Animal Care Center checked their overall health, made sure they did not have any diseases or health-related issues. The staff is so patient and kind. They treat each animal with lots of TLC. I felt at ease when I first went to their clinic. They offer suggestions, but they dont force you to do something you cant afford or choose not to do. When you board your precious pet there a burden is lifted. No worries about anything. If your pet is ill while you are away they will provide all the care you would want. They will notify you and give you details. you receive a report card on their behavior plus any other information about their stay. The facilities they have (and Ive been to two) are extremely clean, dogs and cats are separated, cages are clean and well kept. Staff is very friendly and show you support when you need it especially when you have a pet that is very sick or needs to be put to sleep. I highly recommend the Animal Care Center of Blue Ash and Fairfield.

I only take my dog to this location for routine services. If I need a sick visit I use the Fairfield location which is hands down much better than the Blue Ash location. Every time we go there we specifically ask to not see Dr. Amanda because she tries to sell you the most expensive meds they have. She is a nice lady but not very knowledgeable when diagnosing or prescribing meds. Its a headache every time we go there. We are on the wellness plan and the front desk never seem to know that. They try to overcharge us on everything until we start asking questions. When we go to Fairfield, the customer service is like night and day. They have the animal and owners best interest in mind while Blue Ash only cares about the dollars. We only go there for location convenience. I highly recommend the Fairfield location but not this place!

LOVE this vet! Our 17-year old kitty went there for 10 years, until he passed this week. The staff always took EXCELLENT care of him. They are caring, very knowledgeable, gentle, and professional. They suggested care options for him when he had problems, but always let me be the deciding factor (no "over treating" or extra lab work). My kitty was diabetic for the last 7 years, and they always responded immediately to any treatment questions or concerns that I had. They treated me and my pet with the utmost respect and care, and were extremely compassionate when kitty passed. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this vet office for your 4-legged friend!

Animal Care Center in Blue Ash is awesome. Dr.Kim May is a fantastic vet. We take our chihuahuas to her and would never consider taking them any place else. They receive the best care at a very reasonable cost. Dr.Kim is always available for questions and any concerns we have about our furry kids. She has performed surgery on both of them and called as soon as the surgery was complete to let us know how they were. She also called the next day to check on them. The office staff and vet techs are very friendly and knowledgeable too. AWESOME VET!!!!!!

I have taken my Pug to Animal Care Center for 5 years and absolutely love it. The staff is friendly, efficient, and genuinely takes an interest in my dog and helps to alleviate any concerns that I may have. They also offer a wonderful wellness plan that covers a lot of general expenses. It is well worth the monthly fee, especially if you have a pet with an ongoing condition or a pet that is accident prone. I can not see going to any other vet in the area. Even after moving 45 minutes away I find it is well worth the drive!
