PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!! My husband and I are having a horrible experience with this Banfield. We relocated from Texas and we were very pleased with the Banfield services out there, this one though will steal from you because it is privately owned and they can make up their own rules. This Banfield called me to schedule (what I thought to be) a routine check-up and upon dropping my dog off they automatically renewed our dogs insurance/contract which wasnt even up for another 7 days without ever asking. When picking him up they made us aware of this and stated that the alternative would be to pay for the full service ($400!!). The reason for this is because he was past his 2/year check-in. SO - WHY did they ever call me in the first place to schedule an exam when it wasnt needed? Obviously, it was just to try to get our money and create a situation like it has. Im sure were not the first ones they are misleading. Its not right to trick your customers, I will not let them steal another $300 from me this year (because they have me locked in this contract), and we want to warn other customers who love their pets! Even the guy at check-out said it was wrong that the girl renewed our membership without asking. If we would have been informed before the service we wouldnt have dropped our dog off there. We were given their corporate number only to be rerouted back to this Banfield (again - b/c its privately owned). Very sad and this is definitely not the last theyll be hearing from me. If this does not get resolved we will be making a case out of this.

Saturday, September 30th, 2012 I attempted to schedule an appointment same day with Chelsea at Roswell location and got a call back 15 minutes later saying we could not bring out dog because hes a risk and has to be put under for a vaccination. It was because another Banfield labled him as a risk and did not take into consideration the other visits which were fine. I finally agreed for the following day to make sure we got him his shots. When my husband (fiance at the time) dropped them off, they denied him service stating we needed to extend our Wellness enrollment. They called me since my name was on the account and told me that we would have to out of pocket unless we extended out plan for 12 more months. Needless to say, Husband had to go back and get him. Today, I had to file another corporate complaint because Banfield has automatically deducted two months from an automatic renewal that I never agreed upon, DESPITE BEING DENIED IN OCTOBER!!! I definitely do not recommend their services. Protect your pet and pocket!

Warning! Dont bring your pet here! Each Banfield is separately owned and the vet/owner is not good at this location. Go to Johnsons Ferry Banfield location instead. Here is my experience - I brought in a dog I just rescued that had heartworm. The vet wanted to administer very dangerous heartworm shots without doing an antibiotic regimen first. I have done this before so I know how the treatment should be done. He insisted that his treatment was the only way to do this - which isnt correct and in fact, wont even completely kill the heartworms. The American Heartworm Society has a treatment protocol that is proven to do the best job but it takes more time. This vet just wants to get the dogs in and out in the cheapest way possible. Disgraceful really. I refused the suggested treatment and then took my dog to the Banfield on Johnsons Ferry Rd in Marietta. They knew the correct treatment protocol and even had some treatment suggestions to add with the latest finding.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!! Last month we took our two dogs for their usual check up and vaccines. I got a call from the vet in the afternoon informing me they accidentally gave my small dog heart worm medication and overdosed him. They said they called the drug company and were told it was within safe ranges. Well after the visit, my other wise very healthy dog started puking water and slowly stopped eating. I called banfield and took him in. They assured me it wasn’t the drug and asked me why it took me so long to bring him back in. Then told me to take him to emergency vet and charged me an arm and leg for the visit. We took our dog to another vet the next day. After two weeks with few rounds of medication, he wasn’t getting better. Yesterday we had to put him down as he had no energy to walk. Avoid them at all cost!

HORRIBLE! These people told me my cat was pregnant when she had FIP, and she died from it (the fluid building up in her abdomen) yesterday because I had no idea what was wrong with her when she first showed symptoms and I took her to these horrible vets. Only go here if you want your pet to die painfully.

They lie. And add things on without asking. And then try to lie to cover their own backsides. I do not recommend this company. We wasted our time getting our dog treated here.
