The people here were incredibly nice an open and helpful (which I loved), but the end product just did not meet my expectations. There isnt a clear fix for everything (understandably), but long story short my dog was badly sick with intestinal parasites and she needed a lot of care - she was a rescue. The first time I took her here was for a physical and to treat the parasites. They performed a fecal exam using the fresh sample I gave them (very timely manner which was good), but they did not even look at it with the naked eye to address the parasites I was describing (in detail, I might add) were in her stool. They only looked at it under a microscope and told me I needed medications for ringworm and whipworm. SO, I bought them and gave them to my dog as directed. Worms were back again days later. Took in another fresh sample. Told them specifically to just LOOK at it in their back room, and tapeworm was identified. Given another $45 pill supposedly capable of killing off everything she had. Three weeks later, here they are again. I have had to go back to this clinic time and time again to address things that should have been addressed on the first visit. I even bought Sentinel and have been giving it to my dog monthly and she still has the same problem, so the preventatives arent really doing any good at keeping them away. I was not given consistent information on the mechanisms of my dogs medications from every provider I saw, nor consistent treatment in general either. I just wish my baby had been taken care of two months ago when I brought her in, and that she would not consistently keep getting sick - shes just in a tough situation right now. Going to try another clinic and see how that goes. If you want someone who truly cares for your pet, this is a great place to go because they are wonderfully nice, timely, and caring - but make sure you do extensive research before going in and ask all the right questions, or they might send you on your way with little to no resolution.

My pet unexpectedly died at this clinic over what was thought as a minor condition due to malpractice. I use the word "malpractice" because the vets were negligent and overlooked the severity of my pets condition. During the time of visit, there was casual tone and no sense of alert as they inform us everything will be fine until I receive a call from them 5 hours after the time of death. Along the way I was charged $500-$800 for basic visit fee, blood works and IV. All the emotional damage and bias aside from losing a family member, I found this place very illogical, unfortunate, and money-oriented before care. I brought in my other pets for basic treatment on multiple occasions and their primary approach is maximizing in getting the most dollar out of you before care. Having that said, the owner here is an intellectual man--he understands the desperation you carry as your pet is in medical need and uses that to his advantage to gain the most profit. Its very unfortunate to say that this idea is brought to attention by not only me but also his ex-employee. If you are in seek of practitioners that put care over money, this is NOT the place for you. If you have extra dollars to spend for basic care like rabies shots and flea treatment, you can get by with this place. The vet in Beaumont was very meticulous and caring with animals but hes no longer in practice. Ive had extremely positive experience at the WOODSTOCK CLINIC on Lane Allen with their open prices, caring front end treatment, and affordable care because theyre non-profit organization. For example, blood works would be a flat $50 at Woodstock compared to $200+ at Animal Care Clinic for the same service, flat $30 visit fee at Woodstock vs. appxt $100 visit fee at Animal Care Clinic. So youre ultimately comparing $50-80 to $300-$800 in average total spending. From one pet lover to another, I sincerely hope no pet owners have to go through what me and my family had to go through at Animal Care Clinic.

We found Animal Care Clinic when we moved from Chicago to Lexington by googling vets in the area- Animal Care Clinic had the best reviews! We have seen both Drs. Peterson and Chamberlin, but Dr. Chamberlin is our primary vet. We LOVE everyone at Animal Care Clinic- from the front desk, to the nurses, to the vets, everyone is so kind and really cares about our sweet pug! I was a nervous wreck (sobbing the second I left) when I dropped our 5 month old pug puppy off to be neutered and to have his umbilical cord hernia fixed, but Dr. Chamberlin put me at ease. Knowing how worried I was, the staff moved things around so they could do my babys surgery first that morning. As soon as I got home, I received a call from the nurse Puja (I hope I am spelling that correctly) telling me that he was out of surgery and doing great! He acted like nothing had happened after being home for only a few hours! I ended up calling Dr. Chamberlin the night after his surgery (2 am emergency vet) because he was reverse sneezing and it terrified me. She calmly explained what was happening and why, and how I could make him more comfortable until it stopped. I am so thankful for this amazing vet team and could not imagine going anywhere else for my fur baby!

ACC is the very BEST. In late Feb. we took one of our Doodles, Archie, in with a distended belly, swelling and general malaise. He was VERY sick and wed spent the entire weekend caring for him. Dr. Schroyer diagnosed liver issues with possibility of a heartbreakingly poor prognosis. He doctored Archie and I brought him in every day for a couple weeks. I was in worse shape than Arch, I was so heartbroken. Compounding matters, Dr. Schroyer was out of the Clinic for a week on a much needed vacation. But Dr. Jenkins and the entire ACC team provided wonderful care and it was seamless that Dr. S was away -- he was checking on Archie by text and email several times a day and the competent expertise of the entire staff was amazing. During this month we were what seemed to be days or perhaps hours from putting Arch down to end his suffering. It was horrible but the team at ACC was sympathetic, professional and provided impeccable care. To Arch and to our entire family. Just over a month later, Arch is fine. Its amazing. Hes almost 100%. There is no better place to have your pets cared for. Pets really are treated like people here.

I took my 14 year old dog who had very bad dental disease to Animal Care Clinic knowing that she needed a dental possibly with extractions. I was a nervous wreck when I dropped her off for oral surgery that morning, but the technician and the doctor both made me feel a whole lot better about the procedure. They called me as soon as she was done and I was able to pick her up soon after. She came home and recovered very well! Now as I look back, Im glad that I made the decision to go ahead and do the dental since she had to get 12 teeth pulled! I know she feels a lot better now and can eat a lot better! I will always take my pets to Animal Care Clinic!
