We have been very blessed to have wonderful felines in our lives and to have had consistently good and caring veterinary treatment for them. That said, the care and attention provided by Dr. Palmer and Cat Care of Vinings is the ultimate. Our cats, like many, are not huge fans of going to the vet, especially when a visit entails a waiting room full of large and vocal dogs. Over the years, we have tried a variety of arrangements to make them more comfortable, including a mobile vet. Results were mixed, and I decided on a whim to look for veterinarians who serve cats exclusively. I discovered Cat Care of Vinings and though it is 10 miles from my home, decided to give them a try. From the start, Dr. Palmer provided a level and quality of care that put us and our cats at ease. She has a patience and concern for their needs and comfort and for our questions that I have never experienced with another veterinarian. By an unfortunate coincidence, our seal point, Franki, who requires the most visits to the vet due to epilepsy, is also the biggest scaredy-cat. Taking her to other vets involved traumas for all of us, including muzzles which wouldnt stay put and kevlar gloves for the staff. Since their first meeting, Dr. Palmer has given Franki her space and taken the time to make Franki comfortable. She has never tried the strong-arm approach which made us dread vet visits in the past. And she has consistently thought about ways to make the visits as relaxed as possible. To that end, she recently prescribed a small dose of gabapentin to give Franki one hour before visits. This worked like an absolute charm at our visit today. Franki was relaxed even as blood was drawn and Dr. Palmer thoroughly examined her teeth and ears. We all had smiles on our faces by the end of the visit because it was such a relief to see Franki so relaxed and agreeable. Bravo! When our tabby, Naki, neared the end of his life, Dr. Palmer was so kind and thorough in addressing our questions and concerns. When further treatment was no longer an option, her compassion greatly aided us in keeping our wonderful memories of Naki front and center in our minds instead of just being consumed by the loss. In addition to the top quality care that Dr. Palmer provides our cats, she goes to great lengths to educate us as cat owners. Through office visits, phone calls, emails, printed and web information, she has helped us understand our cats health and nutritional needs. I was shocked at how little we knew even after more than a decade of cat ownership and regular vet visits. I really cant say enough about how thrilled we are with Dr. Palmer and Cat Care of Vinings. We just feel so fortunate to have you in our lives and are most grateful. Thank you all for all that you do!

So glad to have found a vet that is dedicated to cats. Stress free and caring, the staff is knowledgable, gentle and genuinely happy to greet and interact with my cats. Good communication with staff and veterinarian (lets you know if running late and approximate wait time). Dr. Mike takes as much time as needed, answers any and all questions. Doesnt rush your visit. Clean, comfortable facility and I really enjoy the "greeter cats".

These are the best vets in Atlanta, period. Theyre worth the trip, even early on a Saturday. Theyre experienced enough to not perform unnecessary tests and dont charge crazy prices, even for surgeries. And the techs and vets are very gentle with their patients. If your cat has an unusual ailment, definitely go here. I only wish Id found out about these vets earlier.
