Today my daughter had an appointment with the doctor at Visual Care Associates on East Main St in Columbus, OH. Our wait time was minimum compared to other times, however the doctor was EXTREMELY rude! Beyond acceptable! My 4 year old daughter, the sister of his patient, was playing with my mobile phone. She was initially pretending to be taking a picture of her sister sitting in the chair and the doctor comes in so she pretended to take a picture of him. The doctor snatched my phone from my 4 year old daughters hands and slammed it down on a glass top. He says to my daughter "Dont take a picture of me! You need to learn respect little girl!" I was in such a shock I didnt even know what to say. He than says he would like to see my daughter for a re-check in 3 months. I told the receptionist that we will not be back and we left. I will not be returning and I have also filed a complaint against this doctor. I have always had the feeling that he was "rude" but he was tolerable. Today was beyond. My 4 year old tells me "mommy he really hurt my feelings!" For him to be an eye doctor and working with children, he needs to learn how to work with children. My 3 children as well as myself have been patients here for the past year, but we will NOT be returning.

I find Visual Associates very friendly and efficient. Appointments are easy to make and I find that they have very little wait time when I arrive for my appointments. The examination is very thorough and covers all areas of the eye health. When I have had a problem with frames that I have selected they have quickly replaced them with no extra cost to me. If I am having a problem they will quickly try to take steps to correct it. They stand behind their examinations and the product.

I have always enjoyed every visit at Visual Care Associates! The office staff is always cheery and helpful. They give honest opinions and always let me know about any discounts to save me as much money as possible, whether it be for contacts, new frames, or sunglasses. Dr. Bickel is amazing- lightening every situation with corny jokes and providing his honest opinion with what is best for my vision and health. Truly a great eye doc, I still travel from Dublin to see him and his staff!

I work in a hospital in surgical rooms and my vision is of very important. I can now see better than ever. When you walk in to the office its a very welcoming atmosphere. The women who work in the office are very upbeat professional from the receptionist to the doctors assistant all the way to the optometrist fitting the glasses. I appreciate that they did not dilate my eyes and were able to take pictures so I could drive home with no problems afterwards.

The team at Visual Care are amazing! I hate going to the dentist, eye doctor and doing regular check ups. When I am there I feel like family, laughing and talking with everyone. The time flies! All of the employees there look like they enjoy being there, even on a Saturday morning. Definitely a place I suggest to anyone and everyone.

Worst place ever! Long wait time, after I arrived an hour and a half early I was seen an hour and a half late. Their receptionists are extremely rude and slam down the phone when they hang up. They dont even say goodbye. I ended up cancelling my eyeglasses order because they took too long and their communication was little to none.

The staff here are always so nice and happy!!! Its infectious! I was glad to find VCA 4 years or so ago and on a whim at that! Dr. Bickel is great and it shows as it trickles down to his staff! Thank you ALL for being pillars of what great customer service is supposed to be!
