DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO KILL YOUR ANIMAL FOR MONEY!!! I have a Mini Schnauzer her name is Nina, on January 25, 2015 I took Nina to see Dr. Slezack because she was urinating blood. I brought a sample of urine for the doctor to test, the doctor stated "Nina has a bad UTI and I will give her an antibiotic and this should clear up her issue." Due to the fact that I am not a Veterinarian I trusted that this was the issue with my baby. I gave the meds to Nina religiously the symptoms appeared to improve, three days after she was done with her round of antibiotics she began to urinate more blood. I than called The Family Pet Clinic and returned for a follow-up. When I called I begged for an x-ray because I researched Ninas symptoms and she displayed all the symptoms of "bladder stones," unfortunately I travel in my business and was not able to take Nina to her appointment because I was already in Massachusetts, my dad took her to the appointment, he stated that "the doctor got a urine sample because Nina urinated in the office and did not NEED AN X-RAY." She then placed Nina on another round of antibiotics. Before my father left I demanded to speak to the doctor when she arrived on the phone, I asked "You dont believe that Nina has bladder stones because she is displaying the symptoms," the doctor stated "No I do not believe she has bladder stones because the test prove that she has a UTI", I than asked "Are you going to take an x-ray just so we can be sure?" Dr. Sleazack stated "No, an x-ray will be unnecessary, we will take an x-ray on her next appointment if she is still displaying symptoms" 5 days later Nina became worst even on the new antibiotic. I took her to a new office because I lost my trust in Dr. Sleazack and my intuition was telling me that she only cared about how much money she could milk me out of and not the care and well being of Nina. We went to Lyndhurst Animal Clinic and Ninas new Doctor stated "Nina has the worst case of BLADDER STONES he has ever seen!" He was livid with the method of care that Dr. Sleazack administered to Nina. He stated "That Ninas symptoms were a clear cut case of BLADDER STONES" Now poor Nina is very ill, in pain and will be having surgery to remove the stones. I BEG EVERYONE HEED WHAT I AM TELLING YOU, YOU WILL BE OUT OF HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS AND YOUR PET WILL STILL BE ILL AND QUITE POSSIBLY DYING. If you love your animal as I love my Nina YOU WILL NOT GO TO THIS GOD FORSAKEN OFFICE!!!

Wow I am very surprised to hear some of these disappointed experiences! I have been a client of FPC for about 3 years now. I took my dog Diamond there when she was in her final years, as her foot was severely infected due to her dragging it from loss of mobility. I had been to other vets that would clean and advice me about her condition, most of which ended with me putting her down, paying for a costly surgery she may not had even recovered from, or amputating her leg. I was not happy with those options. I found FPC and they treated Diamond with some pain meds and an antibiotic. Dr. Slezack was very honest in stating that Diamond will probably not improve, and that when we were ready, I could get the information for euthanizing. It took quite some time for my mom to come around with letting her go but we eventually let Diamond go and FPC was so wonderful, the paw imprint, the box they placed her remains in...they were very considerate and respectful with the situation. Now I have 2 new dogs, Sosa who is 2 and Babi who is 9 weeks. I take both of them to FPC though not with Dr. Slezack. Its not that I dont want her treating my dogs I just always end up with another doctor. But in my experience FPC is a reasonably priced practice with caring doctors. I will say that the facility is rather small but i havent experienced a pet clinic or vet office in Ohio yet that has been any bigger than that.

I rescued a dog from the Cleveland Dog Shelter. The dog had heartworms and was treated by The Family Pet Clinic through the Dog Shelter. I thought it would be a great ideal to continue the dogs care there, but that was a huge mistake. At the initial visit the vet stated that Sentinel and Proheart would be the best flea and heartworm medication. The next day a fecal sample was dropped off and the receptionist demanded money even when she was told it was already paid for. The receptionist and the office manger argued with us and finished by staying vary deeming comments to us. I later found out by our dogs new vet that Sentinel and Proheart was not the best medication for him. In fact, no other vets in the immediate area uses Proheart because it was recalled due to many complications that dogs suffered. The medication was reintroduced and customers must sign a wavier before using the medication. Only after I requested my dogs heartworm test results for the new vet was I told over the phone that he needed another test in six months. To further add insult the vet request what vet I was going to and she would fax the results, opposed to me picking up the documents. I do not recommend this vet to anyone. Stay clear.

Dr. Thompson has been my cats vet for 10 of her 18 years. I have trusted his recommendations because they made sense when he explained everything in terms a non-doctor could understand. He would explain why a treatment was needed so I could justify the cost and would let me make the decision. So many vets have TOLD me what needed to be done and with a seemingly high cost and I questioned the treatment and the vet because I couldnt justify it in my head. Dr. Thompson had always shown my cat compassion in a genuine way. During her last month, Dr. Thompson had been frank and honest, kind and caring. He and Dr. Keigley showed true concern in the end. Yes, his clinic is very busy but I think that means they are very good and they always did try to accommodate me when there was need. I will adopt again because I want to and because I know my new pets will be in good hands.

Been going to the family pet clinic for a few years and it used to be a good place to go. but in the last year since my dog past away my experiences have been horrible. To get to the point the service is the worst, there greedy over booked and unthorogh. I do not plan to go back to the family pet clinic ever again. If your looking for a new place to take your pets I strongly recommend going somewhere else.
