Customer Service Group

The most EXPERIENCED, CARING, KNOWLEDGEABLE Veterinary practice I have ever encountered. I have taken my pets to many different doctors in the Columbus area, but none have demonstrated the same expertise, professionalism, and caring ways better than Groveport Canal Animal Hospital. The staff, starting with the front desk people, the vet techs AND the doctors are all consummate, knowledgeable, skilled, empathetic, and compassionate. I have entrusted four beloved dogs, 2 guinea pigs, and numerous other small family members to their care and have received the best possible care I could have ever asked for. Some hospitals want to perform procedures that are not completely necessary, just to make a profit. Groveport Canal Animal Hospital, on the other hand will give you options, explain upsides, downsides, and help you make the choice that is best for your pet AS WELL as your family and financial limitations. I have also boarded my pups at their facility on NUMEROUS occasions, and I have always felt like they were on vacation at the same time as me! They love the staff there, especially Sheryl, who gives them extra special care, and I feel safe knowing that if something were to happen while I was away, they would be in the best care possible. They come home from their stay with Groveport happy, relaxed and healthy, just like me! Five stars.

We have been cat people for a long time, and have never experienced the level of care and compassion we receive at the Groveport-Canal Animal Hospital. We love Dr. Amy and Dr. Shapiro and the entire staff. When we lost our beloved Tigger after more than 17 years, they were so kind and compassionate with us and took extra care with him to make sure he knew he was loved by all. We have since rescued two outside cats, Frisker and Lucy, and the doctors and staff have been wonderful with their care, including dental work and hernia surgery, and even extra care with Frisker, the most loving cat in the world, who turned up FIV positive. They are always there when he gets the sniffles and go out of their way to work him in. And to think I was driving a long way from home to receive what I thought was the best vet care, and then discovered this hospital within 2 miles of my home. We are so happy with them!!!

After moving about 45 minutes away from my last vet, I decided it time to find one a little closer to home. Luckily, this one is literally right down the street. I walk here with my dogs. And I cannot speak highly enough of this place. Everyone here is so sweet and I can see and feel that they genuinely care about my fur-babies. All my dogs go trotting in through the front door, tails wagging, whereas at other vets they have to be pushed in. They know they get treats in there haha :) They are not the cheapest vet I have ever been to, but I am willing to pay a little more for quality care and wonderful service. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing facility, staff, veterinarians, customer service and everything else. I have been coming here for three years and have never had a bad experience. The personal love and attention that you and your pet get is unmatched by anyone I have ever been to. I drive over 3 hours just to come here for the check up appointments because I simply do not trust anyone else with my pets care. Everyone here treats you like family, and your pet is cared for just the same. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Groveport Canal!

I Love the Groveport Canal Animal Hospital! The staff is so friendly and helpful. I think Dr Shapiro is the best and most caring Vet I have ever used. She once came to my mothers house to pick up my dog Pete when he was sick. I was on vacation and my mom cant drive anymore. When I got home, Pete was already back at Moms and feeling better. They treated Pete without any payment and let me pay after I returned! I love this vet. They really care and showed it when I was in need! Thank You!!!

I would give them ten stars if I could. We take all our animals here and its always a smooth and quick visit. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The doctors are so great and communicate with each other so well that we dont care which doctor we see. My dogs have seen them both many times over and its always a great visit. Even the "sad" visits are made as comfortable as you could possibly want them to be. I would not hesitate to recommend Groveport Animal Hospital.

Such a caring and sympathetic group. This was our first visit with our beloved boy, Pinto, only to find out bad news. He was an old friend to us and like many, cancer was his future. The honesty of Dr Shapiro was greatly appreciated. Sheryl was also the finest and most sympathetic attendant. She was very considerate of our feelings. I will be recommending this group to all my pet loving friends. Thank you for everything and will be bringing in our "baby girl" to visit.
