After yesterdays expirence at Richmonds Veterinary Hospital i would like to give them a 10/10 rating and would recommend anyone with a fur baby to go this location. My dog had a liter of puppies that are now going on 8 weeks old. The one puppy stared acting weird yesterday morning and then proceeeded to get sick. After being turned down at another vet I found this one. They saw his condition and seemed as concerned as I was. They took him back right away and started caring for him. The doctor was an excellent doctor she came to me right away and walked me through everything that was going on. Unfortunately my puppy passed away. But thanks to the amazing team they have I was able to be with him as he went away, and afterwards I was able to have my time alone with him to say goodbye. The staff they had all came in at different times to say goodbye and sorry to me. They went over everything from making cremation plans to fitting in my other four puppies that day to be checked out and vaccinated, to returning my puppy to me in a respectful way, and even getting me to break a couple smiles. This Veterinary Hospital is all around great with great staff and after my first visit with them even with the sad outcome it had they did their best they stayed with me and I will continue to now use them as my primary veterinarian. Thank you to the staff for taking care of my puppy and being their for me as it was extremely hard to say goodbye to my 1 1/2 month old baby boy.

My dogs are very picky with people. When I started out with my oldest dog, I went all over Chesterfield where I used to live, I searched all over for one that they would like the people. I found Hollow Corners through my mom. That was her vet and went there for a while until I moved and started going to Richmond. My dogs liked them there as best as dogs like vets (lol) and I have been going there ever since. I lost my baby, my first dog and I loved him very much. I did all I could to keep him happy and keep him going. When the time came, I knew what had to be done and Richmonds team was very very comforting. All of them were supportive and some even cried with me. Spaz was the best dog ever. He went everywhere with me and Dr G was his Dr. and he was very nice and did the best he could to make Spaz comfortable. I enjoy all the people there.

Been coming here for the past 2 years & have been very happy w/ the doctors & the service. When I worked w/ a greyhound rescue group & owned a greyhound & an Italian Greyhound, I used to take my dogs to Wilson Veterinary in Romeo because he specializes in greyhounds, so when I found out this place is associated w/ Wilson, I was thrilled! Their prices are reasonable & its close to home. I realize choosing a vet strictly because of its close proximity to your home isnt necessarily the wisest decision because its the doctors that make the difference, not the location, but when you stumble across the best of both worlds (great doctors AND close to home), its like you hit the jackpot w/o even trying! P.S. They also use isoflurane as an anesthesia, which is a must in my book, so another bonus about this place!

Since the moment I took my Golden (Hunter) here I could tell this was a great place. The staff are friendly and Dr G really spends the time with you! He doesnt rush through appointments even when busy. You can ask him and his staff tons of questions and they are more then happy to answer them. You can tell he really cares about peoples pets. What I also like is he doesnt jump to conclusions and want to do any unnecessary procedures like Ive seen in the city. When my dog had surgery they send a text and picture showing how hes doing and I love that cause then it puts my mind at ease. As long as I live close by I will always take my dog here. Keep up the great work Richmond Veterinary hospital!!

Dr Guisinger, has worked with us for 5 years through thick and thin. He and all his staff have been empathetic, compassionate and very understanding to our concerns and the needs of our animals. We go to Dr. G because he listens to our concerns and works with us to find a positive outcome. My Husband is an ER nurse of 40 years,and he is very impressed with the Dr. Gs bedside manner and his knowledge of the issues of our animals and the willingness to work with us, something that is sometimes lacking with "human", physicians. It is without reservation that we recommend this animal hospital to you.

This is truly a loving and caring place to take your animals! The staffs number one concern is your pets health and well-being. Unfortunately, during my visit I had to make a very difficult decision for a stray kitty I found... but the staff, from the kind woman at the front counter, to the techs, to the doctor, were all very supportive. They enabled me to make the best choice given the situation and were sincerely compassionate through the process. If youre looking for a vet that will value your animals as if they are your own, this is the place to go.

I board my pets here all the time and they get fantastic care. The front desk is sometimes a little disorganized and I feel they are working on getting that resolved to streamline things. Dr. Guisinger is a very knowledgeable veterinarian and has the latest laser therapys which create a better experience for your animal if they should need a procedure. Dr Guisinger also diagnosed a thyroid problem with my dog and now shes feeling much better! The techs are pleasant and friendly! This is my "go to" spot for veterinary care ❤️

Best vet ever. I have been around the block with vets, that is before I met Dr G (and his staff). Ive been going here almost 8 years now. I truly dont feel like just another number here. Dr G AND his staff are all wonderful. I have had a couple of very sickly pets, very time consuming, and difficult decisions to make. They are so supportive and make you feel comfortable with your pets care. Thanks for being so wonderful! I am very grateful to have you for my pets care.

I had a HORRIBLE experience at the Richmond Vet Hospital. They were very insensitive to my situation, didnt want to answer my questions about my cats care, and looked at me like I was stupid every time I had to go in and request more information. They were unwilling to help me with a minor billing issue and I was a NEW patient, the front desk staff was down right MEAN, everytime I left I was crying. Would not recommend these people at all..

The staff and Dr. G were incredibly kind, caring and very patient with my dog and I. Our expectations were far exceeded and we are very pleased with the level of training, knowledge and expertise, from the office assistants, to the nurses to Dr. G. I would highly recommend this office to anyone considering this location. They put the Service back into Customer Service! Highly satisfied and very pleased! Keep up the Terrific Work!
